I have viewed many Karl Franz Empire guides by several different content creators. The guide you have made is one the best I have seen. I really appreciate the edits you have made to make your video more concise - especially cutting the lengthy siege battles. You give your suggestions with an example, and trust that the viewer is smart enough to apply that knowledge to subsequent battles. I hope your channel continues to grow!
So my armies only change a little over time and mainly it's about artillery, with my adding in a couple of helstorm rocket batteries and, possibly a unit of cannons. I might eventually upgrade the archers to crossbowmen or huntsmen, but usually only as I lose unit. Usually though my armies are pretty identical. Handgunners, archers/crossbowmen/huntsmen, artillery, an engineer, a spellcaster and maybe a captain or witch hunter. Thanks for watching!
One is due soon, mate. I've just been very distracted lately, so I'll need to test the ideas for it again, in case CA screwed the pattern up with the newest patch. :)
Thanks Dan, glad you're finding the videos helpful! Lizardmen are definitely on my list to do, especially now that it's clear they're not going to get a rework until next year at the earliest, so I don't have to worry about CA undoing all my work right after I release it! Next one though will be Balthasar Gelt.
I dont understand this third fight. I always have a winter map on this one and they have excellent high ground position. The map is way harder than this one. Did they change something in later patches?
@@michaelmoran2125 Yep. this is how I nailed that. Actually I have already uninstalled the game. You just jump from one settlement conquest to the next and then repeat that forever. Way too repetitive and mechanically simple to my taste.
@@WarmasterMoloch They have updated it. Because in your guide you recruit the two archer units. Well now when you play Karl you can no longer recruit them archer units right off turn 1. It is pretty silly. So you have to play WAAAAY more defensive when taking out the empire successionists.
The Empire was one of my most hated factions to play but their recent changes make them much more tolerable now. However, I suck with the Karl Franz so here I am.
also id like to see what skills you upgrade to your heroes and lord. also id like to see how you fix your money situation cause at the end you are at a loss of 1k per turn. just so many things i want to know.
The money situation is not really a problem, as I just forced march my armies toward Middenland and begin attacking there. When you're in a deficit, the best way to deal with that is to fight battles. One decent battle-worth of loot will put you well clear of your negative income for that turn. Then I just take more settlements, develop them and the money situation is dealt with. Heroes and lords... that's really a matter of individual taste. If it's a spellcaster I'll normally level their magic first, then get them to lightning strike and any special skills that they may have. Then it's about upgrading ranged infantry and artillery. If it's a non-caster I'll go for the ranged and artillery buffs first.

Thank you so much! I'm glad you enjoyed the video and I really appreciate you taking the time to leave such a thoughtful message. :)
Awesome guide, thanks!
Thanks for watching mate. Glad you enjoyed it!
I HAD NO IDEA YOU COULD MOVE THE REINFORCEMENT'S ENTRY POINT 😭
This video format is so good ❤
Thanks mate! Really glad you enjoyed it. :)
thank you so much for this guide. however, i'd like to know if you can make a guide after this. what changes do i make to my armies unit wise?

Love your videos, your guides have set me up for so many easy L/VH wins now. Any chance of a lizardmen campaign soon?

what let's you recruit archers at the start there? i'm guessing it's a DLC
Hi mate. Yes, if I recall it's the Hunter and the Beast DLC.
I dont understand this third fight. I always have a winter map on this one and they have excellent high ground position. The map is way harder than this one. Did they change something in later patches?
I haven't played this campaign since making the guide, but it's possible they've updated it.
Use a guy to bait their artillery, then a mage to draw them down to you. If no mage use ur art. Make sure cav takes care of their ranged.

@@TimFromCasohs No, that's because you don't have the Hunter and the Beast DLC.
i have rerolled for over 2 hours and i cant seem to get the bright wizard or fire wizard on the second turn. what am i doing wrong?
You're just getting really unlucky, mate. You can get through the plan with any lore of magic though. I explain the tricks later in the video.

Hope you find it helpful, mate! Gelt guide coming soon...

I'm trying to appeal to his filthy cravings for a shout out. Cynical Moloch is cynical.

Fire
This does not work. You will be attacked by Goblins and Beastmen from the Midlands if you leave Reikland alone.
They are incredibly easy to defend against, even on Legendary.
Appreciate the video but man the way you pronounce mortar is driving me nuts.
This is cool - but relying on "ammo wasting cheese" is not needed, and it's a bad habit.
