When the game gets hella hype after the FT5 ; that counter breaker > ultra combo > teabag ender was a big DL complete moment for sure 😂😂😂 Good stuff all around.

The "Oh God" when JM sees he is about to get lit up by a long or brutal combo had me cracking up.
I have no idea why.
It was sort of a mix of "sadness" and "wtf am I getting hit with now" with a dash of "for the love of all that is holy, please make it stop".
Really enjoying your KI content. Watching you discover the intricacies of the combo system and how mind-gamey it can be is a pleasure.
Those were some of the best matches I have seen from this channel. That last match was so dope.
I don't play the game let alone know what the heck is going on half the time but it sure is fun watching you play
you can try it for free on the Windows Store or on Xbox, its worth a shot. If you have any 2d fighting game knowledge this game is real easy to pickup but hard to master.

I love me some killer instinct. I feel like I've seen a lot of other fighting games, and sometimes they feel samey. But almost every KI character feels vastly different then others within the roster, and it's combo system is so different from other fighting game. I really love the content. Thanks, JM.

It's matches like that that make me want to get good. Also incapsulates Max's statement in one of his videos. "Yo this is a f*ckn FIGHTING GAME!". So wild and so enjoyable. Keep up the KI content if you can man!
Hype overdose man, the game is sick and you're an awesome dude who's just hella fun to watch playing anything.
He's breaking you so much because you keep doing heavy auto doubles you can switch those up with lights and mediums and the same goes for links (special moves) and also if you get at least 2 hits when his health says danger whether it was already in danger or goes into danger while hitting him you can ultra immediately you don't have to wait until combo is over

Man KI looks really damn fun. I’ve never actually played it myself but I’ve seen it on gamepass and thought about trying it out several times. I don’t understand what I’m watching though lol and that intimidates me tbh. Usually by watching gameplay I can get a good grasp on what the mechanics are and how the game is supposed to be played but good lord KI is like on another level. WTH is happening? Lol
Eyedol is the sickest stance switch character ever.
Too bad they animated him funny the pumpkin is always to the inside not matter which way he is facing.
@@thefriendlessgamer8552 That's actually a common thing with asymmetric characters. Since what usually happens is that fighting games mirror characters depending on the side.

You should play Mira she got an air dash working the same way as fighterz air dash, you are even able to instant air dash.
Eyedol is a pretty cool character. He has 2 different styles. He can switch from a brawler, to a mage zoner mid Match.

It’s been out for quite awhile but has always been very underrated so I’m not surprised you’ve never heard of it. This game was actually one of the Xbox one launch exclusives back in 2013

when spinal does his knockdown skull setups wakeup with light firecracker, counter that shit. He can of course counter this by using his special absorb & get another skull out of it. But you'll still be at advantage
oh also, shadow Dragon Kick is the highest damage ender in the game. If youre alredy at level 4 definitely use that instead of the QCB+KK

Eyedol is huge because he's a main boss in the first Killer Instinct game from 1994. I guess back then a boss just had to be a huge beefy mf'er
You gotta pull off the flashy long combo into ultra into instinct into long combo into second ultra then hit wit 2 shadow moves and the ultra cancel hit my highest I think was 207 with maya

So Eyedol was one of the two original ultimate beings in the backstory of the original Killer Instinct, with Gargos being the other. Something happened to free him and for the second game, Gargos was revealed to be the Tiger Spirit Jago was following which explains how he got free. After that I got no clue what's going on, I just hope we can fight those two bastards against each other
eyedol was once a man that along with tusk was choosen by the Ichoriens to protected the astral planes (basically space) as a watchmen of the gods eons ago. infused with astral energy he protected worlds from other dimension from rogue astral beings such as gargos.
Along with tusk eyedol defeated gargos in one of his inter dimensional invasions, after taking some core powers he send gargos back to his realm, however his heart was corrupted by the new found power and transformed into a hideous monster as a result and began a rampage across the land.
Tusk lured eyedol into a trap and banished him into the astral plane. gargos recovered from his battle and harness shadow energy and slaughtered the Ichoriens and freeing eyedol. gargos was smarter this time and had eyedol chase a chimera before confronting him. even then the battle was so great it was like the explosion of stars.
in the end gargos cut eyedols head in half but his spirit escaped before gargos can capture it. millions of years later Kan ra found the ogre's body and resurrected him as a slave but his magic wasn't powerful enough to control him and so he runs ramped once again across the world.

Wasn't Eyedol the boss from KI1? It's been so long since I played at the now long gone arcade. But if he was, that's an uphill battle to beat him. Unless they nerfed his power and moves .
Fun to watch though
yeah he was then his head got cut in half so now he acts differently. Only half his head works at 1 time. the red side is pure melee and the blue is a zoner and he sometimes flips so both players have to be paying attention.
@2:41 you could have dragon canceled the kick.
@4:44 worst shadow counter in the game, not even close. And that's after they buffed it.
She used to stay in one spot, amd it would miss ALL THE TIME! They changed it to where she now moves forward, and it still misses. Her shadow counter should always have been her dragon dance.

God, KI is so hard to play, but damn is it fun.
The loud crunching sound when he grabs is so weird, how come in all my years of watching this I never heard it?
i think it's a bug - i have the game volume turned down to like 10% but the grabs are still loud for some reason

Edit: after you lock them out, punish with a shadow move if you have the meter for damage. If you so desire

Your combos are too predictable man. You use the same moves all the time. That’s why you get broken so often
