Fantastic video again! Really well done videography, and, again, I love that you really try and cover the area and don’t just skip over it. It makes the whole thing so much richer and you get to meet some of the locals. It’s also great how you highlight and support the local businesses and the town.

Great episode! I moved to NC in 1986 and lived in Charlotte for a few years. This episode shows how great the place is, and how the people are. It is magical. If you have not been there, go. Anywhere in the state and you will love it. Beaches, mountains, cities or just out in the wide open spaces in between like Washington. Proud to have been a tar heel, if only for a few years.

Awesome video this week! It’s really cool that they invited you in to see the inner workings of their business. People have no idea what it takes to make that pulled pork sandwich. The fishing was neat too, we just came back from Jacksonville/St Augustine last night. We had some fishing and golfing in that same climate. The moss on the trees brought back memories of family trips as a youngster.

Oh, THAT was good! Desiree, you really earned top billing in that one! I'm thinking your Mom would have enjoyed doing that with you! The fishing looked great! You caught one spinning and on a fly rod that looked to be the first cast of each! I spent 12 years in New Bern while in the service and traveled the area a lot. And yes the local BBQ is certainly worth trying. I like it better than the Texas BBQ & it might be because of the southern sauces. Did Oso stay on the boat while you were filming everything under the sun?

Loved your channel for years. This may be one of the best shows you have made. Your in my part of the USA...southeast. Don't leave us before continuing around the coast till you hit Mexico. When you get to my state of Louisiana you will think your in a different country...film for a month. You both have such good personalities and film presents, you need to concentrate on the travel side of what you just shot. Awsome!

You guys deliver a very solid product every week. Above the great video, narration, and locations, your story line has a very natural arc. I was curious if either of you studied literature in college. One of my favorite courses was short stories. Your videos have that feel. Many channels are just clips edited together with no rhyme or reason. There is a satisfaction in a well crafted story line. Kinda like a big ole barbecue samich.
I totally agree with you Gerald. There are hundreds of sailing channels now on TH-cam but, as you said, the vast majority are posting videos comprised of little more than short clips edited together without any kind of theme or continuity. However, Jordan and Desiree are on the complete opposite end of that spectrum by consistently
producing professional quality videos with interesting, entertaining and educational storylines. Which is one of the reasons I’ve been such a long time subscriber & supporter of Project Atticus. In my opinion there are only a few other channels I believe to be in the same league as Jordan and Desiree. The first of those that comes to mind is a lesser know channel named “Sailaway World Sailing” with Eric & Loren Dove. Eric’s background as a country music artist and professional book narrator, coupled with Loren’s exceptional skills as an editor and videographer - has allowed them to consistently produce great videos that always have a theme and interesting storyline. I would encourage you to go check them out! 👍

I have enjoyed following your adventure over the years and while I have never visited Washington, GA., I feel a connection to it. It started as a community that developed around a fort built by Stephen Heard. Heard had served under George Washington in the French and Indian Wars. Washington noticed Heard and promoted him. They remained life long friends. When members of the community approached Heard about naming the town, he suggested naming it in honor his friend George Washington. Stephen Heard was the uncle of my four greats grandmother, Susannah Heard Babb. Keep up the great adventure.

Really enjoyed this. I grew up in Windsor, NC about 35 miles away and learned to swim in the Pamlico River at "Camp Leach", a camp very near Washington, that I'm sure is long gone. Near Washington is the town of Bath where the oldest church building in the state is located. They have had services continuously for over 300 years. Thanks for reacquainting me with an area of my childhood.

And as for catching a striped bass on a fly on your first try??? It doesn't get any better than that! What a great video. Little Washington Chamber of Commerce needs to sign you up to promote Beaufort County and the Pamlico River. Which reminds me of an interesting quirk of North Carolina: cities and counties with the same names are rarely in the same locale: Beaufort isn't in Beaufort County, Washington isn't in Washington County, Pittsboro isn't in Pitt County, Lenoir isn't in Lenoir County, Greenville isn't in Green County ...
