These Game Store vlogs are so fun! As someone who frequents comic shops/retro game stores, it's always fascinating seeing the ins and outs of running a shop like this. Super cool!
I would suggest that you elevate the nintendo power rack just a smidge. 10-15 cm of the floor, maybe even more. You don't want people with dirty boots flinging all kinds of dirt around you rmagazines.
*Still have my collection of Nintendo Power magazines, I want to give them away but I would only give it to someone who is a collector, not someone who will just turn around and sell them.*

I had every issue of Nintendo Power and kept collecting for years. Then my dad threw them away back in the late 90's. I was so depressed and upset. In fact, typing this up is triggering me, LOL. Awesome vid! Brings back many sweet memories. 😊

I'm still hoping you have a small little 80s and 90s arcade section in the store! It could even just be two or three machines. Even if you make room upstairs for it. Even get a vintage 80s coke machine and maybe some arcade carpet. It would be a pain but even update the carpet downstairs with some 80s/90s carpet as well.

I am trying to guesstimate a price on my Nintendo Power #1, it is an error magazine. The Condition I would guess is at a 6.5??? Maybe a 7? Not mint but no stains, no tears, no writing, no mailing labels on it. It has the mail in subscription cards in it. The error??? It has TWO posters inside, so I have 2 attached Legend of Zelda maps inside. I doubt it adds much but am curious. Never seen one like it and errors in collecting usually hold a higher value. I was at the Portland Retro Game Con this past weekend and saw a like conditioned copy with one poster inside sell for $165 cash.
I do love the old gaming magazines. I collected “mean machines” from the 90s over the last 4-5 years. Mean Machines was one of the best if not thee best magazine in the 90s here in the U.K. Issue 3 was the hardest one to find and it took a good part of 2 years to find a seller who would sell it on its own rather than a job lot.. I probably spent £350-£400 over the years for 24 issues that’s about $450 but it was worth it..
I always did like old game magazines, I’m more of a PSM/Game Republic guy. Loved looking at old reviews of classic psone, ps2, and Dreamcast era games.
One idea is that if things get slow in the Winter, Adam could do system PMIs, screen upgrades, new belts, capacitors etc for a fee on your website and get items shipped in.
I hope you get a website going, I’m sure it will help a ton when store may have slow days and as more and more peoples find it from videos the website will help for those not local like ME………take care

Nintendo Power back in the 90s was awesome. PC Gamer was also superb back then, for those PC fans (demo disc ftw!).

Take care with Heavy itmes stored above head hight , they need to be secured incase of falling , this may be why plush has beed displayed up high.
