  • After driving the Hoovie's Garage 7 series BMWs 1,000 miles, it's finally time to drop them off at the salvage yard. J&J Auto Wrecking is giving us unprecedented access to the yard where they have tons of enthusiast cars and more H2s and H3s than I could count. The place is literally filled with Hummers. This might be the ultimate salvage yard tour, and we did a ton of crazy stuff that's coming up!

    Common Questions:
What motorcycle do I ride? A few. Ducati 1198, Honda Goldwing, Honda Grom, Honda Ruckus
What do I do for a living? Make TH-cam videos.
Can you wheelie? No, I suck.
Are you fast? Sort of. I suck mostly though.
Where can I keep up with you off the bike?
    Instagram: WatchJRGo
Facebook: WatchJRGo (or JRGo, FB hates my branding)
Do you go to school? College, for 2 classes.
Why do you ride so dangerously? What do mean? I was doing 25.
Do you go to the track? Of course, hopefully there will be videos in the future.
Do you play video games? No, but I might stream N64 Goldeneye at some point. Twitch: WatchJRGo
Are you afraid the police will watch your videos and arrest you? Something something evidence something something warrants and due process of law

The moment I saw the video entering the yard, I realized I bought some leather seats for my 1990 Town Car like 2 years ago from them when I was passing through The area. Seats were MINT as advertised - it was pouring rain, and they had them under cover in the pickup area.
Super nice people behind the counter, great customer service. I’ll remember them now - looks like they are fun to hang out with too!

Ya know...what spoke to me the most was they kept switching out cars so they would not kill the one they were driving. That means a lot and suggests they care about what they have in the yard and also suggests they also care about their customers. It was a good ad for them.

I used scrapyards in the UK, quite a few years ago.
Part of the fun, was climbing up a six car "tower", dropping into your chosen vehicle and getting the bits needed.
    No health and safety bollocks.
My son went to a "scrappy" late last year, and said all the parts are itemised or the staff get them, while you wait at reception.
The scrap prices are also much more expensive now, as everyone is so much more greedy.

I have a 2006 Limited, bought it with 114K on it, and I have to say that it's been a great car! I've taken it on several 1,000+ trips and not a single problem with it. I originally bought it to drive around while waiting for my 2000 Jag XK8 to get a new gas tank (the old one rusted out and filled the car with strong gas fumes), but I like the PT Cruiser so much I haven't bothered fixing the Jag for almost 2 years now! I love my Jag, but the PT is such a well-thought out car, everything works, love the high seating position, the flexibility of the huge interior, lift back, etc. I've moved a lot of stuff in it that would never have fit in the Jag. The PT is an excellent car!
