This is one of his best versions, although in 75 he had some real wild ones. 1975 seemed like Elvis was going back to his rock roots again. Funny when Elvis started in 54 he was a true rock guy and then at the end of his life, he was rocking again Way Down. Came in rocking and went out rocking

He only sang 2 songs before the principal ran Elvis off 📴, saying he was vulgar trash. Boy, people were uptight in the 1950s!!! Anyway, I askedy my sister, could you tell he was destined to be the greatest entertainer of all time???! Lord,yes!!! He was so fabulous, he seemed to be an angel 😇 instead of a human.

He was definitely in top form. I heard he particularly didn't like Burning Love but did like the beat of the song and everyone else liked it so as long as made money " let's do it " was the mood. But personally he NEVER did a bad job on that song. I was dismayed to find out how Elvis himself felt about doing the song. Oh yeah be sure to thank Linda Thompson for talking Elvis into doing Burning Love.
Honestly, I like All Elvis performances. Maybe it's hindsight to know what we didn't know then. I'm just grateful that we get to see any performance. I never got to see him in person while he was alive, that's my biggest regret because I've been a fan since he first came on the scene.

I love it at the beginning of this performance you can tell Elvis is kind of at ease reserved maybe nervous. I have heard from several people that he wasn't very comfortable singing the song yet Not until about 1976 did he become comfortable with singing burning love but man once he gets comfortable the old Elvis literally comes from the shadows and he nails it! This channel is different because you do delve in to unpopular subjects from time to time and I’ve read some of the comments from fans that they’re disappointed over the content, like it’s forbidden knowledge. 🌿..I found the information useful and it allowed me to view him even more so as the tender man I always knew him to be, because with all of the hardships he faced both personally and career wise, he remained a very kind hearted man ..we just love him..🌹

That's why I hated the book. The author claimed Elvis kept all of his health conditions to himself to the point that his family and friends didn't realize he needed pills for pain but feels she has the right to write about all of Elvis' private medical information and bodily functions. It's disrespectful to Elvis.

We have to give thanks to Felton Jarvis for this song. Elvis didn't want to record this song but Jarvis begged him to record this song and Elvis relented, it went to number 2 on the billboard charts. Thank you Felton Jarvis, without you this would have never been recorded.

Love ELVIS and his band was great but the background vocals (someone was off) at the end of this song live... in most of the versions I have heard, makes me cringe....off key BIGTIME. Hunk a Hunk a Burnin Love...ah...the ah was flat over and over again. Does anyone else notice this? Lol ...Long live the King ELVIS!!!!
As I've said before, the November 72 tour, or the Burnin Love tour as I call it because the song was performed nearly every date on the tour was, in my opinion the best of the year, song wise anyways. The setlists for each show were great and Elvis, although not as into it as tours before this, still gave great shows. ALL venues were sold out, crowds were nuts at each show and he wore the best jumpsuits of all year, plus some spectacular new ones on this tour. A highly underated end of the year, very succesfull tour for Elvis, overshadowed unfortunately by the upcomming Aloha shows and previous tours of the year, ie the NY shows, and filming of EOT. THESE shows should have been professionaly filmed and recorded, its a crime not one soundbourd is available from this tour. BUT we have some good audio CD's and amatuer footage thank goodness.
