    Theres hardly any videos of this, but even if there were, this video would be the best. Love this channel and thank you for taking the time and hard work to run the camera and edit all of this while doing your project.

    Yeah the stock Carpet in these trucks get absolutely disgusting becuase of how thick it is. I'm going to try using Patio Carpet instead becuase its basically the same durability and such but less fussy= less dirt build up for cleaning. Thats my theory anyways. Thanks for the How To video. Wish me luck!

    RockAuto is cheaper if you want mass backing. $293 on Rock vs. $340 at Stock Interiors.

    Why didn’t you lay the old carpet on top of the new and use it as a template and then cut it ?

    • @OBSOutpost
      @OBSOutpost  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      A few reasons, the carpets have a mold shape and dont lay 100% flat. There is also a difference in thickness in carpet and padding that you would have to account for. You would not be able to work the carpeting tight if you precut and made holes, It would difficult to do it that way and not make any errors. Even if it was flat, the old carpeting is sticky on the bottom and so disgustingly filtly I would not want to lay nasty carpet on top of the new and have to have it clean.

      Wouldn’t the carpet move as it’s stepped on?

    • @OBSOutpost

      @@LeonardoRodriguez-fl6hn not a chance. its molded and once you make all the cuts and bolt down seats and door sills it wont move at all
