I installed the PS5's on my Mini Cooper SE a month ago. I have been very happy with the performance and handling. They are very quiet which is great for a EV. Great wet weather traction.
I had Michelin PS5 on all corners of my Toyota Supra Mk5 and noticed that at 20k miles awful noise from the wheels ... when taking it to a garage they showed me that all four tyres had worn unevenly on the inside edges .. the tyres were essentially no longer round ... it was noticed that all four tyres has worn differently on the wear indicator areas ( 3 dot blocks) ... FYI .. alignment was spot on and car never driven hard or tracked. 20K is good for a set of tyres but with 5mm left it did mean that i still had to change them prematurely.
Interesting... I'll keep an eye on mine. Now on my BMW F31 3 series, a mucher lighter car. I've only had this one for a few months (scan through my vids and you'll see why the change of car) just on 14k kilometres with these PS5 and it is quite road noisy on chip seal. Very quiet on smooth tarmac though.
Same for me. PS4 AO on my bmw E60. After 18K kms, they developed subtile uneven wear and 3mm radial runout. Very good tires when new but they lasted only one year 😡 I cannot find the GoodYear F1 Asym 6 where I live. So I ll go with PS5
Bought a brand new Kia pro_cee’d GT 1.6 Turbo in 2014, still got it, and it was fitted out of Slovakia with Michelin Pilot Sport 3 ex factory. The car is in Australia and we got 55000km out of the first set and about 45000km each out of the two subsequent sets of PS4 that were fitted. The car is now running a set of Hankook Ventus Evo3 K127’s which are about to be replaced with a brand new set of Michelin Pilot Sport 5 tyres sitting in my shed. I have also run a set of Michelin Pilot Sport 4S on the Kia Stinger GT I also have, but those are heavy rear-wheel drive mile-munchers and they tend to be heavy on rear tyres given the long commutes I do, so the PS4S didn’t last as long as one might have liked, but like you, I have some lovely twisty and challenging country roads nearby me here in Victoria to punt both cars along. Love the Michelin tyre. The feedback with the PS4S on the Stinger is phenomenal and the steering turn in is crisp and sharp. Will be interesting to sample the PS5’s on the smaller car which loves twisty bits with its competent little chassis. Thank you for your review. Be interesting to see how the PS5’s pan out for you…
Thanks for that, good to hear! I actually now have a smaller, and much lighter BMW 3 series (F31) which I've fitted PS5 to, so that'll be interesting too... loving them so far, again!
Very nice car. Mine is a E60. My pilot sport 4 lasted only 19K kms before they developed 3mm radial runout. They wore unevenly and only tire geeks could diagnose the defect. I have Primacy 4+ on my other car and they last a long time and are smoother than the PS4 yet less gripier and less sportier.
Put PS5s on to replace factory MPSS which were great in the dry but not cold+damp. Immediately regretted it as opposed to GY AS6 (was warned that the GY AS6 aquaplaning resistance was lower than the PS5s), because IMO the PS5 feels more of a touring tyre compared to MPSS. Only got about 20k miles out of the rears now have GY AS6s on and it's night and day! Can't wait for the fronts to wear so I can put GY on the fronts as well.
Interesting got 60k kms out of PS4 on my Tesla model 3. And just replaced with PS5 from Costco in Auckland $1650 in total. No noticeable noise difference which is great
@@brycebrown1 that is true i say iv got about a year so far i do ruffly 10.000 a year got to say best gripping tyre iv had My car is a seat ibiza fr 1.8 20v
Looks like I'm going to be buying 😂, I've had 16,000kms out of my rear tyres so far and there around the 2.5mm mark however the fronts are wearing very well and evenly
What size have you got? They fill the arches nicely. I’m currently running Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 2’s and they last forever! 30k plus miles on the rear…. Fronts have done almost 50k miles & still legal!!
PS I’m thinking Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 5 next as they have a very good rim protection & apparently great all round performance! Here in the UK; Michelin pilot sport S 5 just announced on TyreReviews channel…. So I might wait & see how the S5 (5S) performs 👍🏼
Hey, mine are 245 40R18 on 18×8 square, but I'm running spacers 20mm rear and 12mm front. Great mileage on yours! It'll be interesting to see how these go...

running on an e93 so much better handling wet n dry uk roads payed £117 each front £135 rear each recommend these sport 5
I love my PS4S’s. If you want longevity….don’t buy high performance grip tyres. It’s a trade off. But if it saves you just one time…then its worth it👍

Good price!
Really good tyres but wear way to quick im on my second set so far but im considering other brands as these wear out real quick
Yeah, there's a trade-off with grip vs wear, for sure. How long did they last on what car out of curiosity?

Good choice 👌 it's a good idea to get tyre rotations done for even wear on all four. Is your x-drive?

How have you got on with these tyres? I’m wanting to change my ps4 to ps5 but the gy ea6 do have some great reviews and are slightly cheaper.
Still loving them! I've just put another set on some 19s I've refurbished, yet to fit them to my F31, which is in for repairs.
What country are they made in mate?
According to Google, 13 different countries.
🔥🔥🔥
Cheapskates should stick to Tourador
