12v VR6 is very easy, the whole swap takes a day and the wiring plugs into the fusebox, assuming yours is CE2 as it’s a later model J reg. Bolt a turbo on later if you need more power.
Easy swap yes but it all boils down the cost for me with the new business. Vrs are definitely on the up but I'm still in the ideas phase

an ABA motor, 8v 2.0 is very fun and peppy plus extremely reliable. Now if you had the time you could do a VR5 or 07k swap, just a lot more involved. Great video and keep it up!
That's one engine we never got 😑. Would've been perfect as I've seen what the Americans have done with boosting those. I want to keep it humble and reasonably cheap as possible

You will be happy with just a stock 8v 2.0 as a cruiser
100%, the car before this had a 2.0 8v. Great on fuel and you could have a bit of fun with it
