  • Did a quick video on a the afc for a p-7100 pump
    That comes on 1994-1998 12v Cummins. Hopefully this helps you guys out. I will be doing more video’s on the afc and setting them up.

    I liked your extent of explaining how to do it.my 94 is acting weird so am looking at possible ways to make it work better without messing with mileage and get the power it did have back.thanks for sharing

    Great video! I’m in the process of adding compound to my truck and imagine I will be messing with this. My truck came with a Mac rack, and I’m new to this, so it’s gonna be some trial and error

    Super content, They are still a very popular pump in a multiple of engines.

    Would like to get more information on your afc kit upgrade. Most kits I have seen, .dont have the Fender washers, Or Replacement bolts. Thanks

    Could you do an explanation video of best placement for a pyro and why? Benefits of before turbo vs after turbo and if going into manifold if you should do hot manifold vs cold?

    I am having a hard time getting this figured out, I moved the fuel plate up towards fron or engine and it would start with a touch of the throttle, but it woudnt get up a hill for crap, slowed to 30mph with no power to pull, im brand new to diesels inhereted this headache but want to understand it...

      Check the afc housing is not all the way back and the boost line is on

    Hi we did a cummins swap 1996 12 valve auto when we went for the test drive it has little power on take off but when I put the foot all the way to the floor theirs no power and I put a boost gauge it shows 17psi and it starts to bleed off slowly.

      Can be a bunch of stuff
      Afc not hooked up or line to the turbo wastegate is not hooked up
      Fuel pressure low
      Boost leak
      Timing low
      Waste gate not working

      @@CUTTERUPROB Hi this i going to sound crazy it has a fass fuel system i was checking fuel pressure the truck running 30psi and on the gauge the pressure drops and i touch the fass pump and it was off, but the engine never turn off it keeps running and on the boost side i pressure test the boost side and found my boost leak it was missing 2 bolts on the intake side now it holds boost but in the last gear when im trying to go to the next lane in the highway i dont feel the pull it takes awhile whats another best to add throttle responds and power the truck is automatic i was thinking to put a fuel plate whats a good power not to much smoke Thanks.

      Forgot i purchased a boost elbow and fuel over flow valve its coming in during the week how hi on the lift pump its a fass Psi can i safely go.

    thanks for explaining these things. ididnt understand what they did but i do now. i have a 12v that gets horrid mileage i the fuel plate is gone and the star wheel has been adjusted but thats all i know of. i used to get uo to 17 empty and about 10 pulling but now i get about 7 empty and i have no idea why or where to start.
    i also am thinking of redoing the truck but i need to get an idea of condition without tearing it down. the mechani i used before set the timing so far off that it catastrophically overheated in about 500 yards. he said he put a rebuilt in it but it uses oil. i dont see any blue smoke once it warms up i thought it could be valve seals. i see cooked oil at 1st cylinder exhaust but dont know if thats it. thanks in advance

    So my tractor engine has a no longer available lift pump. Truck pump doesn’t clear the steering shaft. So I’m putting on a raptor with 30psi high flow relief valve. My understanding here. I can tighten the diagram spring too reduce total fuel so I don’t ruin my transmission with extra power from lift pump increase?

      The lift pump doesn’t really matter for the power output the pump and injectors tuning selections

      @@CUTTERUPROB ok. It’s rated at 25psi. Mine barely makes 22 and drop to near 0 at idle. Is why I’m changing lift pumps. The high flow return bolts start at 30psi. I’ve heard that gives a bump in hp. But wasn’t sure. My hope were that it will help idle and off idle power.

    on the front of the housing. Which way to turn that slotted washer to raise the foot? To increase fuel?

      All the way to the left is up. Looking at the back of the engine. If you want to get the most travel you will have to mark the foot and see where it hits.

    so im looking at an industrial 5.9 and what i thought was a P7100 after looking up numbers it says its a P3000. any experience with this pump? can it be modified like the 7100?

    how to add fuel on high rpm? I don't have enough fuel at high boost

      Have to add rack travel and or add bigger fuel parts.

      everyone will be a bit different as every pump is different
