Really good in stained water for pike! Go with the clown or brighter colour in the darker water. Also, don't be afraid to go with a bigger size in the X-Rap for pike, they love that lure!

When i jerk the bait should i be able to feel the bait on my line or have enough slack i dont feel it

Great question, when you pull on your jerk-bait the line should be tight, but the line shoud be slack for a split-second to allow the bait to lunge left, right, or straight ahead. As soon as it's done moving the line needs to be tightened up for the next jerk. If the line is too slack, it won't produce the best action and you may not feel a fish grab and hold it.
