It's not hard to predict where the fish will be even when bank fishing... we already know how they behave at different times.. like right now in florida, I been catching multiple 8-12 pounders every weekend for the past 2 months and I don't even own a boat..
@@ianbellomo8322 a tournament 2 months away I wouldn’t put yourself in a box like that and unless you grind the next couple months to break the ice on jerkbaits I prob would stick to fishing your strength tournament time not fishing a technique your new too cause that’s what people say is the best way to catch them at the time

Scott, just a thought for a future video. You are fishing a tournament series on multiple lakes throughout th country through multiple seasons. You are allowed to have and use pretty much any bait but you can only have 5 rods in the boat. You have to begin and end the season with the same rods and reels. What length and actions are the rods, what reels do you pair you with each rod and why.
Jerk baits are new to me. I've had some luck with them so far. I wasn't sure if I was using the right rod or not. It's definitely a different bite than I'm used to. I've only been bass fishing for almost a year now and am learning new techniques as I go. Getting ready to drop shot on the next cold front to come through. Any pointers will be great.

Scott, my problem is most jerkbait rods Labeled as jerkbait seem stiff to a degree, yet when i watch you and jacob wheeler and especially wheeler the rod seems to have lot of whip to it. Long winded i know, but i have a loomis rod not labeled as jerkbait but when i compared it to megabass etc seems to have same action and length...now i only caught two on jerkbait with it yesterday. But same conditions when use a really limber st croix rod i smashed them. Im not cheap and kinda anal, id rather buy one designed for jerkbait. My hunch Is im doing things wrong and the limber st croix is covering up my mistakes Or im fishing like wheeler setup.
Like I appreciate these videos but all I care about is how to actually work a jerkbait idgaf about the gear ain’t as important as your sponsors want you to make us think. 8/10 video.
First....spend thousands of dollars on high end bass boat....more thousands on fish finders / sonar.... and more $$ on gear.....the little man shore fishing is screwed.
Great stuff , i walk the damn today caught 6 large mounth i didt weirgh them but at least 20lb best 5 . But i wasn't pointing the rod back at the bait , im pretty sure i missed and lost one because of it .
