Carpenters Screwdriver Restoration (Wooden Handle)

This screwdriver is one of the oldest tools of my grandpas workshop. I´m not sure how old it is exactly. My best guess is between 70-80 years or older.
As you can see in the video the wooden handle of the tool was rotten and sitting loose on the screwdriver itself. In addition to this, it seamed like someone used the screwdriver as a chissel. This misuse of the tool completly ruined the head of the screwdriver and made me cutting of the end of it.

i've got no issue with your tools available, however there are other ways how you could have finished the handle like having a recessed cutout for the nut. Or could have just removed the old handle and file away or beat the old peening to clear the new handle and re-peen. Technically you could still cut down the handle and glue on an extension for the recessed cutout and reshape the end for a nicer finish. Good effort though.

many people are saying about tools used. can anyone be more specific like explain for beginners from what parts of the video youre saying and whats the more appropriate tool for every step ?

This is not for TH-cam. Everything is out of focus. Very sloppy "work". Inadequate use of tools. Hex nut should be inside of wooden handle. And many more.
