    She was on the Clinical Faculty of the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine for over 30 years. She is currently on the faculty of the Institute for Relational Psychoanalysis of Philadelphia (IRPP). She is the author of The Family Interpreted: Psychoanalysis, Feminism and Family Therapy -- published in 1992 -- which is still taught in therapy courses around the world. Carol Gilligan called it: "A book of unusual wisdom and humanity." Her more recent book is Schopenhauer's Porcupines: Five Stories of Psychotherapy which has been translated into seven languages, plus Braille. It was recently released as an Audiobook, read by the author herself. Dr Luepnitz was a contributing author to the Cambridge Companion to Lacan, and has written about the possibility of a "third way" for psychoanalysis -- that is: one that values the insights of both the Anglo-American and French schools of thought. In 2005, she launched I.F.A. (Insight For All -- connecting analysts with homeless and formerly homeless adults in Philadelphia. In 2013, she received the Distinguished Educator award from the International Forum for Psychoanalytic Education.

      I believe the analyst is Erik Craig in Santa Fe, NM.
