0:31 Blue Crush is a very cool name for a color and looks awesome! Almost looks like Lightning Blue on the 2015-2018 S550 Mustangs, to me at least
I got the regular I Force and I absolutely am in love with it. Underground color which is like a dark grey it makes plenty of power and 0 lag. My favorite part though is the rearview mirror that becomes a camera
Prices are way to high for this truck, skipping it and going with a Nissan Pro 4x Frontier.
Can’t go wrong with the new Frontiers. Way better truck than any new Tacoma
Period.
It's serviceable, either by unbolting the transmission pan to dump the fluid, reinstalling the pan and then filling it by removing a fill bolt and pumping in new fluid, or pumping out the old fluid using a thin hose and refilling with new fluid, or removing a transmission line to the cooler and using the return line to fill it.
It somehow gets filled at the factory and Nissan isn't welding the fill location shut.
Nissan looks like poop and sucks
@SHADOWBLACKs650 that's a real BS comment.. do you even know what the jatco 9sd looks like ?
You pay for the reliability I’d rather pay a higher payment than constantly be fixing things on it
Another year that Toyota doesn’t install hydraulic hood struts on the Tacomas.🤷🏼♂️
I’m a huge fan of Toyotas and Mustangs, so the Tacoma TRD Hybrid is a very cool truck to buy!
I don't believe the Japanese would betray their loyal customers this way. It had to have been cooked up by American grifter executives.
You are a ignorant 🤡
Yes because Toyota never cheats? lol cmon man.
Buy hyundai or kia instead.
Greed doesn't discriminate.
@@나이오미 he wants a reliable car not one that my 4 year old can steal

How did you get a 2025? Still waiting for the 2024's to hit dealers here in Canada.
I get 22-25 mpg in my V6 ‘20 TRD PRO, so to spend waaaay too much for a 4 turbo is a hard no.
New taco is a massive disappointment. I was hyped for the hybrid until I saw it costs 15k more and you gained only ONE extra mpg! wtf were they thinking?! 😡
Toyota Tundra Hybrid Platinum mpg 20 in the city and 24 on the highway.👍
Yet i can't get 20 in mine🤣

@@angelgjr1999where are you getting 15k? Would love to see the math on that
Im hearing the Nissan Frontier is the new Tacoma…….with the N/A v6 ??
The Frontier is nice. My personal favorite in the segment.
i have 22 nissan frontier. NA V6 is so much better
I heard the Cyber Truck was the go to now 🤔😎
The frontier is way better. NA V6 that makes MORE power. New taco sucks
It finishes last for a reason.... nobody wants a Nissan
Best channel on TH-cam. Thank you for another great review !
Purrdy Blue truck. I do believe the Nissan Frontier is king of the Segment. This is Number 3 behind the Ranger and Nissan. Just my personal preference and opinion. All good Twinkie haulers none the less. ☮️👍
Nissan king🤣🤣🤣🤣 wtf are you smoking🤣🤣🤣 it's last always last
@@atg1338 Nissan might not be GOAT but the Frontier certainly is appealing with it's current powertrain and build compared to the others. Just my opinion. All of the brands mentioned are good options just depends on what you are looking for. ✌️
@@rickjames6867 I'd agree with that...
@@atg1338 That Nissan 3.8 V6 is tried and true. And you can get a loaded Pro-4x for $40K with the current rebates.
Joe and Lori, you are legends. This truck however, not a legend.
it used to be... they made this new truck and insulted the Tacoma name by putting it on there.
Love the color love the look … hate the platform … Toyota fan/owner and if I was going new I’d go frontier 100%
281ft'lbs of torque sucks. I test drove both. The frontier feels very old and dated.
Comming from a third gen. I have the same truck and color and almost the same options. But not the hybrid engine. Doesn’t matter what time of the day it is this blue crush color pops out great.. only complaints I have about this 4th gen is the gas tank. But other than that I think Toyota improve a lot of things and did a great job moving forward.. 👍🏼
You are the reviewer that made me tune into design language. I never heard the term until Raitis Rides🏆
There is confusion that the Sport with the Premium Package, is pretty much the same price as the Limited. The Sport is the Road version which leans toward more luxury which leads to the Limited. So, the only reason to buy this is to avoid the chrome of the Limited.
I Love The Toyota Tacoma TRD Sport😍❤️🏁🛻💨!!!
Beautiful color 🔥
Tacoma has been growing me the last 3-4 years.
This should have been AWD like the Limited. If this is a road truck, the AWD is much better for the road, it is always on, better on slippery/snowy roads, …. . The only time AWD isn’t better is rock crawling and deep snow and mud.
is there any regenerative braking you notice on the hybrid?
If I have to spec, I like the silver trailhunter with 6 foot bed. Wrap it satin and add a TRD Sport hood on it. That would do the trick. I really want to love the TRD Pro but the ISO-dynamic seats that they have practically rendered the rear seats almost unusable by any grown adults with legs.
I would want running boards since it would be harder for older guys like me to get in and out of the truck. Power folding running boards would be perfect.
That's on the Limited trim.
I do go with the Tacoma again, my 2023 it’s great but I love this 2025 Tacoma ❤❤❤
I'm wanting a nice mid-size truck but not when manufacturers are charging full size truck prices for them. I'm leaning towards the Frontier Pro-4X because of the value and the tried and true V6
Yet nobody buys it
I just drove the Pro-4X. Great prices right now, at least relatively speaking. I’m 6’5” and was too tall. Seat didn’t quite go back far enough and no telescoping steering wheel. I didn’t have that problem in my 2021 Tacoma TRD Off-Road, which btw was about $12K less than a new TRD Off-Road. Crazy.
I was considering the new TRD PRO until they released the prices. Im going with a Ranger Raptor instead. Id rather have a v6
I did not even know that the iforce max was available on the trd sport
They are. I have one.
I have running boards on my taco mine is black love my truck
I might just spend 30k to restore my current truck. 60k for a small 4 cylinder or any truck is nuts.
Joe and Lori and Steve keep up the good work real true and I love the video 👍
Love the Blue Crush with black trim and these wheels!
I got a Mazda 4 cil and turbo, but I miss the V6 sound and power.
This is a bit expensive at $55k for what it is except perhaps being a Hybrid, the GMC Canyon (AT4 is only around $44k and the AT4X is around $55k) and they are made for off roading wtih metal skid plates, etc.
You can get a frontier for like 30k with a more powerful NA v6. wtf is Toyota thinking 😂

Some nice features that should have been on the 3rd gen.. but in this economy and interest rates. ill be keeping my 2023!

Yes of course Joe & I would like to afford this.
A Tacoma is NOT a 4 cylinder truck, and No, we do not have to settle with it. Nissan makes a natural asp, V6 and V8 much cheaper. Bud Light, obviously, did not no know who drank their beer. Toyota obviously did not know who drove their trucks. LET THEM SIT!

Everyone is complaining about the prices and new engines. Especially with the tundra.

In Australia our model truck from toyota is the Hilux i know of 1 with the 3 litre motor with over a million klms so the doubters who say the Tacoma wont last think again.

55K for a Tacoma, no thank you Toyota.
Love your review, but the TRD Sport @55K is too much for a want-to-be sport truck.
My girlfriend, Abby Normal, loves this truck!
Nice
Mixed feelings, I like it but it's kind of hard for me to justify the price.
A huge, earth shattering, luvy/hugy, eye dropping ZONK my man!! Hears why………. It just boils down to the power plant; i.e. the
4-cylinder turbocharged/turbocruncher engine. You just can't feel good about a small engine with the increased reliability and maintenance problems of a turbocharger crammed into a heavier/beefier chassis. You can argue til hell freezes over that Toyota has proven this engine in other vehicles and that they've been using turbocharged technology for years but this new engine will never be as reliable and dependable compared to the V6 2GR-FKS engine. And also, this new engine will be overstrained and overworked in the short and long term which will result in increased engine/turbocharger failure. True, the outgoing V6 engine is not the best designed V6 on the planet but it is by far, will outlast, outperform (long-term), and out function ANY turbocharged power plant.
55k for a Tacoma? I'll give you 24,000. That's my final offer.
It looks a little purple
Really concerned that these are made in Mexico, then given the price, thinking Frontier Pro 4-X
Pretty sure ford, some GM and many other automakers build in Mexico, they are becoming the next Detroit.
My issue is the build quality has went down a lot... and along with the Tundra and all its major issues, i don't trust them... and they keep raising prices crazy. Toyota has been hurting their name so much, but most people just go off older historic reliability data and don't watch whats going on.
If i want a real truck i know can work and last, I'll get a Frontier.
Great review, Joe. Hope you got your hands on the two-tone TRD Pro model at the media drive
The engine will blow up at 5k miles 😂
You’ve Been waiting to say that about a Toyota haven’t you 😂
It would be wise to hang on to your old-school tried and true Toyota's. Even if you buy one of these, at least you will have a reliable backup if this thing ends up in the shop under warranty.

2024 Toyota Tacoma Hybrid TRD Sport Double Cab Half Cab 4X4!
Alright Joe let’s see what Toyota is up to
If you think its expensive, take in consideration that the same truck in Europe cost the doble then in US...because its CO2 emissions are high. But in Africa, America and Asia doesnt matter...
Half way Americanized japanese truck with typical a big cabin and small cargo style, which makes it completely worthless.
It's not even a big cabin. Worst rear seat room in the segment
@@marklihsu That is exactly the point and called it "half way" Americanized. Toyota made it not functional as an "SUV" which have room for rear seats, and it is not a work truck either which can carry a lot of stuffs.
But I don’t know if that’s a reliable compare to previous. I’ll wait for over a years.
We will see how it goes.
This looks like a smaller version of the Tundra
More power yes, looks bigger absolutely, more interior space... that a zonk! More reliable definitely zonk!, less space at the back zonk!, smaller rear windows zonk!. Big improvement of fuel? Zonk!, smaller fuel tank, Zonk! Price Biggest ZONK!!! 😂 Well, the only person who is willing to pay for such insane price is probably an impulse buyer or never owned a Tacoma or newbies. 😅

Nice truck and good styling. It has all the creature comforts and more but wow $55k. Always enjoy watching your reviews and how many twinkies the car can hold!
Toyota is becoming a luxury brand. 😩😤
Luxury price but not a luxury vehicle by anyone’s definition of luxury
So paying so much for hybrid system that doesn't fix the fuel consumption and pay for that so much.. is it worth it ?
It's the most powerful of all the midsized trucks.
...watch out Doug could sneak up on you!
Idk Joe, not confident in that new powertrain especially after what’s going on with the Tundra recalls 🙁
Nope! I’d rather have a used previous generation Tacoma with a naturally aspirated engine.
Toyota & Nissan need SMALL entry truck 4 cylinders under 23k $
2 main issues with Tacoma,1) Price 2) no v6 naturally aspirated gas engine option.
Get use to it and it was caused by the greenie enviro whackos, just a matter of time for Nissan and others. Not Toyota’s fault but they certainly came up with two excellent options, iForce and iForceMAX.

Any 2024 Tacoma its super expensive for the type of truck you are getting, 4 cylinder? No way, pass. If I upgrade my 2022 GMC Canyon, I will go for either RAM 1500 Warlock Package or Sierra or Silverado V8 or add a second truck and keep my mid size Canyon, last V6 GMC build
Do you actually think that body color arch extenders are cool, useful and functional? I personally don't see anything except extra forced expenses at the first scratches due to the terrible appearance of the car. The problem with Tacoma 2025 is that it remained a 2-seater, just like the 2024 version. Toyota's failure to learn and work on its mistakes means the Tacoma will continue to lose customers and market share in the midsize pickup truck market.
