I don’t know if this is how you were picking up the dropped stitch in your Sophie hood but Cushing a crochet hook is a game changer for me. I use a couple sizes smaller than what I’m knitting with but I find it works so much easier than trying to use knitting needles to pick up dropped stitches
Just stumbled on you're channel. Hello 👋 from Maine! I noticed the Steven King book in the background. I live close to one of his house (spooky looking house in the middle of Bangor). Anyway, love you're personality and can't wait to go back on you're older video!
just found your channel and i really have been enjoying your podcast- so excited to watch some more while i'mm getting cosy with my tea and my new cast on :-)
i also have the Sophie Hood on my needles atm! 🧶 i didn’t realize it was popular rn lol, i was just similarly excited about the prospect of a hood/scarf combo! :) i also had a dropped stitch in mine rip us 😅 your knits are all looking beautiful so far! thanks for sharing! i haven’t read much dark academia but i do enjoy it!
Can't wait to see your Sophie Hood 😍 I wouldn't have gone back to fix that drop stitch either tbh 😅 The last book you shared seems really nice, I'm adding it to my tbr list!
I just finished a cardigan in drops karisma, and just a heads up it grew LIKE CRAZY when I blocked it- I wish I knew that ahead of time so I could have been more gentle. Especially the sleeves became hilariously long so if I ever use it again I'll do a mid-way block to make sure my sleeves don't get too long.
I’ve definitely woven in a dropped stitch before! I’ve found that it’s less noticeable than the tight column of stitches you get if it’s picked up (especially when it is farther back). No one will know but you! I’m knitting on a test knit - the Kintra sweater. The colours are a bit out of my usual wheel house, but I’m excited nonetheless!
Thank you for this ! I’m having problems with the hood section 😢, could you tell me what is the measurement from the beginning of the hood section from , the 3 stitches on the pin to the top of the hood , mine looks small / short . Thank you …
@@marywhite2407 it should be 24cm, I believe, in the pattern - so instead of the 30 rows after putting icord on hold (but before decreasing) I did 40, to give more depth before starting the decreases, as I knew my decrease section with be shallower
Happy New Year!

My husband gifted me Knits to Wear by Veronika Lindberg (Kutovakika) and working on the Coffee Run Sweater while watching the podcast. Happy 2025 🎉
Happy New Year!! What does the genre dark academia entail? Any favorite recs?
