Lived on 1007 N Colorado St for the first 23 years of my life. Went to Bowie Elementary, Irving Middle School and then Lanier HS. First generation high school graduate. Attended San Antonio College then got my bachelors degree at UT Health Science Center. Left San Antonio and lived in Chicago, went to grad school at UCLA, moved to Boston, and now living in Atlanta. Watching this video was so humbling for me. Thank you for sharing! Definitely brought a tear to my eyes from all the memories it evoked.

Seems to be the business district of the West Side. There are lots of businesses along these roads.

There was a convenience store named Wisniewski Grocery on Ruiz street near me growing up. Never realized it was owned by Poles. The owners were always so nice to my father and I.

SanAntonio has some beautiful places. Why would he make a video of the stinking westside ghetto?..LOL

Because there's a lot of history in these neighborhoods. You know, history a subject you may not have been paying much attention to in class 😕

Because the West/south side culture is what makes San Antonio, San Antonio...or at least it used to before all these pricks from out of state started moving here.

Much more personality in these homes from the outside than the cookie cutter HOA run homes these days. That's coming from someone in one of those cookie cutter homes. @@1DayInLife
