Bought this a week ago after waiting and watching videos about it. I’m glad I did it’s change gaming for me (mostly single player gaming experience.) after playing on my PS5 or PC multiplayer games like the finals, helldivers etc for long hours with my friends, I don’t always want be at my desk. Taking this thing to the couch being able to play and watch a movie has made me fall in love with gaming again. Starting games and finishing them that I’ve had in my back catalog for awhile. You you don’t have trash wifi or your ps5 is wired you won’t have any problems. I haven’t had one yet.
Great review. When someone wants something badly they ignore the pitfalls but this made me step and realise there probably won’t be any situations I actually use this in.
The backbone IMO is too small, phones do not stay in them, cool features are locked behind a subscription. I suggest a combo of gamesir products. I'd say get x2 for retro games (the d pad is fantastic for this). The g8 is much better for modern and remote play. It may not be practical to get both, I get that. But either one on their own IMO is a far better experience than the backbone.
Not having Bluetooth feels like an evolutionary step back. And not being able to log into wifi that requires a splash screen is insane.
It's indeed a step back overall. This should be sold for less than 200.

If I have a portal and steam deck with ps5 remote on it. Could we both use the ps5 at the same time? Maybe by having psn accounts.
