I experienced seasonal depression when I moved to Europe. It’s cold and dark. I’m an au pair that time and I’m grateful that my host family is there for me and friends. We have to go for a walk, cook comforting foods and good lighting. Hygge has a big impact for me that it’s something I really love.

I always feel kind of depressed around this time of the year, it feels like the year it’s coming to an end and I start realising everything I didn’t achieve. But this year I am
Particularly tired I can sleep 8 hours and I will wake up exhausted.

Thank you for sharing that seasonal depression is a actual mental disorder, some people really think their little winter energy dip is the same as me getting fully suicidal in winter and they think that their morning walk will help me with that when it helps a little but not as much as with the average person and I have always felt bad about that. That you said that if you still struggle a lot even if you do these self care things, you should go to a doctor that makes me feel less bad and makes these tips feel more doable.

Yesss. I've been catching sunrises on the beach lately! So incredibly helpful even though it has been cold. I still will put my feet in the soil/sand for a few minutes - just feels great LOL ❄❄

Absolutely enjoyed this video. I noticed a change in my mood a few weeks ago with the days looking so gloomy. Went out a few days ago and actually felt better.😁
