Seriously, it's like 5% the planetaries and 95% the absolutely insane hellion/reaper micro. How he's able to keep so many units alive on red hp to continue out trading his opponents is disgustingly impresive

absolutely disgusting :D. The PF is such an interesting strategy the way it demands attention. In early game scenarios it changes it from 1 possible big threat to 2 simultaneous ones.
New GM series idea - Siege to GM It may be a bit slower, but I was thinking Siege tanks and Liberator's; I could just imagine you leap frogging those units sieging/unsieging all the way and how painful that would be for the enemy slowly being squished/suffocating. Probably even require some turrets built along the way to help defend from the air and that would be hilarious to see those pushed along the map too.
When I originally suggested the Planetary Fortress rush to GM series, it was meant as a joke, because I thought that not in a million years could uThermal climb the ladder to GM using PF rushes. Well...well...well...
Therms... Let's keep it real... All but like 2 of your games ever, even the loses, are absolutely brutal bangers. You are one who can absolutely chew gum and kick @$$ at the same time. GGWP
The Ghosts in that last game were absolutely bonkers. 1800 vs. 8000 losses? That's utterly backbreaking! Even if he got the Fortress down, he was so far behind at that point that you could have just walked into the main once the last Spine Crawler was down.
Idea for next challenge: The Pacifist - Make any units - Choose race (or random) - You are not allowed to attack enemy bases - Defend until enemy surrenders. Stalemate is considered a win Basically, you should go eco-cheese, and acquire as many bases as early as possible. You are only allowed to attack enemy units if your units are standing on ground that already has a nexus/cc/hatchery on it. Win condition is to make enemy give up and surrender at some point. So, no early game shenanigans (scouting allowed, obviously), and let your opponent hit themselves into the face until they die. I think it would be interesting, as that would open up to longer games, and let opponents think and optimize against you, while also allowing for "dirty turtle cheeses" yourself. Maybe allow fighting on neutral terrain if games become too boring and opponents do not attack. Now that I think about it, maybe Terran would be the best for this challenge, as in the late game you could have 200 supply of army to defend with, which would be awesome to see. It would be refreshing challenge, as most of previous ones were rush/early/mid game focused. This would be The Ultimate Macro Game Challenge!
Marc fun fact about Neo humanity...the map with gold mineral wall in the nat. You can siege tanks behind those gold mins and hit their natural. It's nuts

Marc, I have an little upgrade to your strategy - use your hellions to kill larva at the 3rd hatch, they deal with it really quickly unlike when you let the larva morph into roaches + you mitigate surround options for the Zerg.
It's crazy how the Ghosts to Grandmaster challenge really seems to have helped with Ghost micro. His snipes are incredible and I'd just quit if I lost so many ravagers to snipes.
Would be cool to see you throw a siege tank behind the Planetary and used a raven for vision to just erase them. Just as many diff combos that you can think of for the finale. you can even do something crazy like planetary into bc rush or some absurd play, but knowing you, you would somehow pull off some crazy tactic and win lol. Planetary into thor drop would be awesome as well :D. Sick plays as always thanks for uploading!
A suggestion for a challenge: mech medic (medimech? medCV? mediboys?) Basically, keep an SCV on autorepair with every unit that it can repair. Drop with seven marines and an SCV. Keep an SCV with each tank. Bring a few boys every time you move out. Keep all mech units at full health.

This build is damn stressful. Its simplicity has identified starcraft and many other RTS flaws. That starting units aren't really designed to break starting command centres quickly. Making it fly and giving it a cannon... We get this!
Somewhere, in the absolute best conceivable of any alternative realities, uThermal and Giant Grant Games are creting content so hot, that it's already sending ripples across the matrix. Jokes aside though, the gap between what those two are putting out, and basically everything else SC2-related, is a bottomless pit.
I want a x to gm series where you can almost only use units that no one uses anymore. Stuff like hydralisks, lurkers, swarm hosts. I'm not sure that the equivalent is for other races. maybe archons?

So what could of the zerg done differently? forfeit the third, eco up and build about 4-5 spine crawlers and hide his army in the back. Fortress can't move, moine the gold path on the right expand over there, but the opponent could make another planetary fortress really boxing you in... So... if he just held back and waited until he had a larger ball he would of been able to push out and uthermal wouldn't of been able ot push in easily, polus wiht 4-5 spine crawlers the ghosts can't walk in, of course have one spore.. but he could go nuke... but that would be easy to deal with... takes ot long to get a greater spire... so ravager is pretty costly, comparatively for hydras... Planetary range is 6 +1... spines are 7 range I Ithink, but the angles create interesting problems. I the zerg should of went crawlers and kepe his main army hidden and accept the loss of the third on that side use the larva, to maybe even run off a drone to a remote hidden base, since typically as we can see when peopel are ina good position, Uthermals attention was hyper focused.. and that open hatchery allows a good expansion for another expansion. I would build it further away.. so there is a time travel, if there is a commitment attempting to force apslit I mean the zerg is ahead eco wise... the zerg also jsut focused too much on the planetary which caused the loss.. Just chill out... and play defensive.. Yeha its itneresting how hte planetary fortress makes poepel hyper focus on it.. lol when there is plenty of other options, Imean itsa giatn steel structure that can't move, LMAO.. jsut go around it and ignore it, and keep yourself ahead, but yeah the map designs do help because they are very pinch poitned in their designs in the mains/naturals hwich makes planetary fortress have larger base of threat. Whereas a base with no areas to block that is open, peopel jsut go around, it.. IE photon cannon rushes failed on sc1 maps since some bases were jsut open everywhere, you would just go around, them, lol

For me, physical exercise and alone time helped 1000% Too much family time or work without a break is mentally stressful.

Nydus network into uthermal's base with all the ravagers and queens while leaving spines wouldve worked as well
