it fits the car interior really well. I always wanna get racing seats for my spyder. I heard stock seats had a better spport in case of a rollover, I don't have a roll bar or hardtop. that's why I am still putting it on hold (not that I race or track, just the thought scared me lol)
I agree! The stock one does not provide enough support on the side for sure. After watching your video, it seems like the stock seat does not have a cushion sensor? So the airbag sensor is with the seatbelt?
Hi, thanks for all the video's. Some really some interesting stuff. I recently bought a 2005 MR2 and I found out that I need to have the bottom seat part lower and more vertical because of back/length issues. Looked at installing after market seats like you but I read that the stock seats have extra strengthening in case of rollovers. Did you consider/looked into this at all? ps. Will make some simple intro of my MR2 soon :)
Thanks so much for your quick response. Does not having the weight sensor in your new seats impact your passenger side airbag? Really appreciate the help! Your Mr2 is sharp!
Do you have any fat friends that can say how they feel ? I ordered some and I'm concerned I ate too much McDonald's in life ..I'm a 33 inch waist 5'4 180lbs lol

asice716 I believe the stock seats are supportive in case of a roll but the new seats are such an improvement in every other way

asice716 The stock seat does have a cushion sensor but it's my understanding that as long as the seatbelt is plugged in the airbag sensor still works.
Dimly Lit Garage interesting! thank you for answering my questions!
No problem!
Awesome seats, will do this to my Spyder. Where can I get details of the plates you made?
We made the floor plates custom with a stencil that represented the bends necessary to mount to the floor and then bent aluminum plates to fit.
Dope I just got a bride lowmax for my spyder!!! To go with my 2zz swap! I love the sparcos tho 😍
Thanks man! The 2zz will be awesome
Quick question for ya. Why did you have to custom build your aluminum floor plates? Love the Spyder though man.

KatsushikaMatsumoto That was something I considered but I felt like the stock seats were so bad at holding me in place I just got new ones.
Hi I'm french, I will change seats on my mr2, but I want to know if you know how to create bracket seat mount for mr2 please.
Thanks
Bye bro
Hey...nice Video. Did you gain any headspace. Did you seat much lower now? Regards
Are you selling your old seats? I have worn out cloth ones and could use a new pair, plus the leather would be a nice upgrade
Aiden is all Knowing I haven't decided yet but I will let you know if I decide to sell them
Thankyou for that. Mossimo in Oz.
Can you reach the pockets, behind the new sparco seats?
Hi, I change my seats, and I want to know, have you dimensions of your adpat plate to mount seat?
ive been wanting new seats on my MRS!! would you sell your stock seats?
As of right now i'm not planning on getting rid of the stock seats but if I decide to I will let you know.
Nice are you seat a lot lower than with the stock one?
Only a little bit lower with the rails in place. If I remove the rails I could drop down another inch or so.
what was the weight saving if any?
Where did you purchase your hardtop for the MR-S?

Did your old passenger seat have a weight sensor wire? If so what did you do with it?
harbisonlane It did but I just reconnected the seat belt plug wire.
Thanks so much for your quick response. Does not having the weight sensor in your new seats impact your passenger side airbag? Really appreciate the help! Your Mr2 is sharp!
harbisonlane thanks man! As far as I understand the sensor doesn't effect the airbag but only the seat belt indicator. Correct me if I'm wrong
