The stock symbol is FSR 🍺 I picked up some shares. Currently 40% short interest, that's why you see all these weird post trying to discredit the car. Also some tesla fan boys get scared of competition. I like the car and reserved one 🍺
Remember when shorts almost buried Tesla? They are playing the same game with FSR. Everyone should buy this stock and support Fisker. They will make amazing cars, and also get you very rich if you get em shares right now. The company only has a 2bn market cap. Tesla has 800bn. Now imagine that 2bn MK rising to 200 or to 400bn... Add to that the 40% short interest... Yep you get it. 🚀🚀🚀
Lol. Yeah, everyone looking for a sedan with five inches of ground clearance that LOOKS like a crossover but is definitely not one, has less than average cargo space, costs the same as the far superior Model Y Perfomance WITH the full self driving package, has an inferior charging network to use, from a company that will certainly be bankrupt soon, everyone shopping in that space will be thrilled. Oh, and it weighs 600lbs more than the Model Y, which is why no footage of this car doing tight curvy roads at speed exist, and you will never ever see it doing the Moose test, because it would fail at 30 mph. Yeah, everyone in the market for a car that is okay for driving on good condition straight paved roads...and nowhere else...
Looks good. I like it. They deserve to have a bit of success with this having been a bit too early to the party the first time round. However, I do think you're taking a bit of a leap of faith to buy one...for the vast majority of people, there is no history to the brand. Is the car going to last? are they going to stand up to their warranty? are you going to be able to get problems sorted easily? Building the car is almost the easy bit (because Magna Steyr will do it for you). Supporting it afterwards with the right services and infrastructures is the hard bit.
Residuals also. Nobody is going to finance this at scale (eg lease companies) or offer via company car schemes to employees. No infrastructure as you say. Genesis are Hyundai and it's one reason I didn't buy one - very few dealerships.
Fisker Ronin launches 4pm PST (midnight GMT).. will be interesting to see where the brand is going. Personally, love the design of the Ocean.. think it looks great! Hope the quality lives up to the good looks..
I loved this car from the moment videos & images began to come out. I'm going to be buying an EV next year, probably February or March, so I've been watching developments closely for quite a while. In November 2022, Fisker told me they would begin shipping to the UK "later this month". They've been repeating "later this month" for a year now. It doesn't matter how good the vehicle looks on TH-cam, I'm not putting a deposit down until I've seen one in the flesh, no matter how often Fisker's marketing ask me to. I'm a wheelchair user, so I have additional requirements from any vehicle (able to fit hand controls and a boot hoist for the chair), so my options are limited. If they don't hit the UK by the end of the year/mid-January 2024, I'll be giving up on them altogether, and get my second choice, a VW ID Buzz. Come on Fisker, tell us for real when they are going to be available... ...or not.
It's by far the most cool electric car in the world today - super well design from the man, who gave us the Aston Martin DB9 and the BMW Z8, two of the most beautiful cars ever made. And the sustainability-thinking is really nice. Order now, when the prices are low, and you will be the greenest person among your friends.
I just cant get past the fact that they once again don't understand that using a car is not like using a computer. One of the nicest things about the Hyundai Ioniq 5+ series is that they have found a wonderful balance between knobs and computer. The stuff you need to be able to find whilst looking out the frontview window are accessible using physical knobs that you can sense your way too. It's an absolute put-off for me to have a vehicle where I need to take my eyes off the road to adjust simple things that requires my vision to do it.
It has an amazing warranty which concerns me because there is a reason most brands don't offer 5-6 year warranties and most do 7 year corrosion they do 12.... Feels like just marketing to sell them and then they all break and they go bankrupt... (Btw I'd love to get this car but worried about reliability)
I could really like the Ocean! But there are still blanks to fill in, such as… how and where will there be deliveries? what about service? will Fisker join the EV makers who have committed to transition to NACS connectors? what are the warranties?
I love the car. Biggest thing for me (and not mentioned for whatever reason in this short review) is that this car has V2X. In other words, you can use it as a home battery to power your house. So buying this car is giving you free home batteries and that makes financially a lot of sense.
@@Jack_Hunt hummm yes, Look at backup battery system (Tesla, Panasonic,...). Their capacity ranges from 7kWh - 10kWh. 1:00 Minor detail, but I really want to see where the real rim starts and the aero cover ends cause it looks like you couldn't fit 5 lug nuts in there. Maybe a small-ish pattern? Although the wheels are of course large.
Not a bad first effort. I wish this company all the best. I like their model of outsourcing manufacturing...for now. This car is made in Austria by specialist, and they will do the same for their next vehicle, the PEAR. It will be made in Ohio, USA but Foxconn, the same outfit oit of Taiwan that makes the popular iPhone. I want to see models coming out faster if Fisker is going to distinguish itself. The platform used in this car can be used in atleast 3 more distinct cars. If they watch out for quality and pay attention to customer service, this company can survive.
@@BBingo-v5iEU WLTP is very generous but US EPA hits it very close, and even by that measure, the Ocean has the best "real world" range in it's class.
@@JOfAllTStill debatable, at 105kmh/65mph (avarage constant speed) it takes around 21kwh, often more, divide this by the net capacity of the largest battery of 105kwh and you will have a highway range of 500km or 310miles (this is what counts as nobody needs 400miles city range). At higher speeds or bad weather conditions it will be much much lower, especially for an SUV. This is by no means groundbreaking and is only achieved by the large battery. Many upcoming competitors will be much better. But besides that, the maximum charging speed of only 175kw makes the large battery less useable, resulting in waiting times of 35 minutes for 10-80%soc (and even more in winter, probably up to 45 mins!). It will be outdated in just a couple of months. The software and the driver assistance features are already outdated or non-existent. Only the entry level Ocean makes sense.
@@BBingo-v5i What is debatable? That EVs have lower range at higher speeds? There is no debate here .. this is well known. If the debate is about Oceans range being less than advertised vis-a-vis other EVs in its class, that is simply not true. Real world testing shows Ocean gets 85mpge on highways and 99mpge on local roads (EPA even includes transmission/convertion losses, absolute numbers are much higher). EPA combined rating is 92, which results in 360 miles of range. Ocean was one of rhe first cars where EPA did the tests themselves because they suspected 3rd party testing. If one were to only drive on highway the whole time, range would be about 315 miles. Obviously, YMMV .. just like with gas cars
Customer support has been non existent. Have been trying to get a hold them for 6 weeks. Stopped by their physical location and was told to submit a case - still haven’t heard back. Not sure how the public can trust this company…
Excellent review, thank you. A small reminder: Lots/many of the viewers of this YT channel are most likely above average interested in EV´s and have probably read about or seen other videos already of the car, so for many of us the big "whoaaa" for the California mode, and solar panels, could easily be replaced with a feature-presentation more consistent with "not been there but already seen and heard it x times." "Sober" is always and universally good, also in presentations of features that have been declared and presented months ago as part of the marketing of the vehicle. Other than that - good job. p.s. to those of you that have never heard of these two features: Ignore the previous message.
Love it and the focus on sustainability. Base model look a relative bargain but it’s a case of join the queue. Hope they survive long enough to get the Pear into production, that will be the sustainable game changer with lower carbon during production than an ICE equivalent. Maybe need to think of a different description for the taco tray. Fish flap wouldn’t be my choice 😅
Except it is just a bloated sedan, the car has just five inches of ground clearance, and anyone who braves even a slightly rutted dirt road with an Ocean will regret it. Sports cars available with more ground clearance than this "SUV" include the Ford Mustang, Subaru BRZ, Mazda MX5 Miata, Toyota GR86, Dodge Challenger, Chevrolet Corvette, BMW M8...
my Mercury Grand Marquis Colony Park had a drop down window in the tail gate as well. I loved that. Like a convertible with shadow. In places with lots of sun, a drop top means burnt head. Driving with all windows down including the tail gate is nice breezy and so much more enjoyable, compared to the convertible. Now someone needs to bring back the front bench seat. I know, not that sporty or impressive, but I love my woman and like her to be near me, or my little ones. The bench allows for this.
I am a Tesla owner and share holder so very reluctantly I will say I am impressed with what I have seen here and maybe at last we actually have some competition. Great for the consumer but not great for me 😂☹️ PS: I did buy some Fisker shares aswell just in case they do well and don’t go bankrupt in a few years, let’s see!?
Listening to that drivers door closing at 3.40, I would have to dispute any claim as to 'quality'.......it sounded really cheap and how long is that 'fish and chip flap' really going to last.. Other than that, good looking, roomy, nice interior, decent price (for an EV). Just needs a good 2 litre petrol engine to lose the weight of the battery, motors, electrical wiring and gubbins, which would, in turn, improve the ride, handling, steering, brakes.....and it would probably be even cheaper.🤔
One of the few EVs I like the look of BUT… still very concerned about vehicle lifespan and what happens when the battery reaches the end of its life? Also, I’ve seen no attractive / affordable ev that can replace my VW Transporter 🏄♀️
One thing i hate about this car is the massive TABLET in the middle. Looks stupid. One other review showed how his leg kept hitting it. Its ridiculously over-sized. Like seriously couldn't you have made it more streamlined with the vehicle like Kia Sportage?
The low spec model dosent even have adaptive Cruise control (im seriuos!). Sounds like they might ad it in the later versions, but id stay away from low spec, until that.. A 2023 EV without ACC... what a joke :O
Should be included, for sure. But, so many luxury car makers don't include it on all but the top spec versions. And there have been failures resulting in cars stopping on the motorway...
I love the car and i have already ordered one (they are made in my home country), however i am a bit frustrated about the media center, navigation and the missing software bits and pieces. Basically, the care has all the hardware needed to do even more that teslas are doing today... but... software not ready... and thats a shame..
The software will never be ready. Fisker's first company shipped their Karma with UI so slow owners were breaking the touch screens trying to get it to respond. Fisker is old Detroit, he knows jack about software, and his company hired all of the best unemployed software engineers in a market where companies are in bidding wars for good software engineers, which is to say anyone who was available for Fisker to hire is known in the industry to suck at their jobs. I predicted the software would be late and unfinished literally years ago and many times since, so I am not just having 20/20 hindsight here. It took the company that bought Fisker's last company two years to fix the software Fisker had shipped the Karma with, before they were willing to ship a car with the software.
@@tribalypredisposed I am sorry but you are spreading fake news. First, Fisker is from Denmark. He worked in Germany for a very long time. He is designer, and has nothing to do with detroid... Thats 100% Austrian code made by Magna Engineers. - They are slow and understaffed. thats true. But the rest of your post is just nonsense and factually incorrect.
Why is everyone saying this car is great value for money? Spec for spec it’s no better than any other, it’s just they are offering it for a lower price because it has no spec in it as standard.
1500 miles of free range per year - I only do about 6000 miles a year! And I do park in open air for work Monday to Friday. If all EVs had something similar, it'd save owners even more money compared to ICE
Every about this car seems cheap -- opposite of what's being claimed. The components look and sound like cheap plastic which won't last long, especially parts like the "fish'n chips flap." And that tray instead of a glove box? Ridiculous. Hardly anybody is going to use that. Can it even securely hold a cup? And that rotating display? Just pick a position and design for it. It's already bad enough we have to put up with all these touch panels in vehicle while we're driving, now we have to learn two form factors? At least they put some buttons there -- but they're mostly the same buttons on the steering of other vehicles. The boot isn't any different than something like a RAV4, except it's less. And how much do those solar panels increase the cost versus the amount you'd save from the slightly less charging needed at home (especially with Home PV installed)? For the price, what does this EV give us that others simply do not?
Seems like a decent car As long it has a good fit and finish I think it’s a no brainer to buy it If I am correct it has 3 tiers the second tier is the best one to buy
9:21 Firm ride with steering that's “vague/fake feeling...doesn't have any feel to it...there's no feedback...the steering just isn't great”? Sounds like following the foot steps of Tesla Model Y (& 3) in “ride/steering compromise” department. LOL
I live in CA, can I have one with all features that have a fully covered sunroof? it is too hot (and too sunny) if I do what you do. You are clearly Brit and have no skin cancer yet. You will if you keep doing that here
We need car like this on the market to make other manufacturers compete at the same level and price, tired of seeing overpriced low range cars and they can because nobody is there to challenge them. This should open the market. Every car on the market with a 400mile range usually starts near £100k yet this is £60k and fully loaded with all the options.

I love it and best range in its class 🍺
@@BBingo-v5i😂. You haven’t got a clue. At least you have chosen an appropriate tag.
😂 range is inflated stop drinking the kool-aid
why is the front boot never shown?
There is no front boot in the Fisker, you can't even open the front pannel.
Loved the review and the look of the car, what type battery has the top end model got? I really hope we get it in Australia soon.
Australia ? 🇦🇺
Okay.
113kwh battery 440 mile range 🤔 probably more like 330 mile in real life.
Fish flap wouldn’t be my choice 😅
holywood mode ? that's usualy called landscape orientation,
The £36,000 option will no doubt be pauper spec. It just sounds to good to be true.
Look at their site. Pretty well equipped and I can’t think of any car for this spec/quality/size that comes close.
@funkyfin3023 will do, thanks.
@@v-gun9735problem is the wait list….. Cheers.
It is poverty spec at that price unfortunately.
The mark ups when you order say diffrent
Wow! Another electric SUV..... just what the world needs...
Unlike another Gas car?
Saving the planet one 2.5t SUV at a time!
@@tribalypredisposed Im glad other people noticed that. It's no SUV. It's a glorified hatchback
So is it better than Volvo EX30?
What you get for the price cannot be argued with. Love it! Yet to see if it's coming to my country though (Australia).
Where has Nicola gone?
Nice review
my Mercury Grand Marquis Colony Park had a drop down window in the tail gate as well.
Good video! I think you guys might benefit from using a camera lens hood tho
Nah it would drive like crap
The doors are actually very heavy and solid.
That's down to the driver. Probably someone like yourself lol@@Mew-ip3iy
Fantastic car❤❤❤❤❤
This looks good
60k...crap handling, crap ride quality....yep I'm really really impressed🙄
One of the few EVs I like the look of BUT… still very concerned about vehicle lifespan and what happens when the battery reaches the end of its life? Also, I’ve seen no attractive / affordable ev that can replace my VW Transporter 🏄♀️
Keep the camera still!
One thing i hate about this car is the massive TABLET in the middle. Looks stupid. One other review showed how his leg kept hitting it. Its ridiculously over-sized. Like seriously couldn't you have made it more streamlined with the vehicle like Kia Sportage?
light blue disc brakes? what were you thinking
Thanks!
Secondly, the sofware is made in Austria at Magna, not in the US. Especially the Automatic Driver Assist System. Thats 100% Austrian code made by Magna Engineers. - They are slow and understaffed. thats true. But the rest of your post is just nonsense and factually incorrect.
lovely car..I like
what is the energy consumption? kw/100km or the retardistan units of miles/kw
Reminds me of the Range Rover almost. I want one!
it's the range rover evoque, except better. that vehicle was so sexy im shocked range rover didn't evolve it
Awesome Car!
Seems like a decent car
As long it has a good fit and finish I think it’s a no brainer to buy it
If I am correct it has 3 tiers the second tier is the best one to buy
Lovely car, but winging it while doing a car review just doesn't do it for me these days. It's a shame...
Eye candy❤
Steve's been called plenty of things in the past - we'll add 'eye candy' to the list!
I could buy the extreme if I had a £1 for every time he said “California” lol.
9:21 Firm ride with steering that's “vague/fake feeling...doesn't have any feel to it...there's no feedback...the steering just isn't great”? Sounds like following the foot steps of Tesla Model Y (& 3) in “ride/steering compromise” department. LOL
I have sport on order, but i don't think that version will be as close good to these expensive versions unfortunately , which is a shame
Looks like this car has a bad blind spot
I live in CA, can I have one with all features that have a fully covered sunroof? it is too hot (and too sunny) if I do what you do. You are clearly Brit and have no skin cancer yet. You will if you keep doing that here
We need car like this on the market to make other manufacturers compete at the same level and price, tired of seeing overpriced low range cars and they can because nobody is there to challenge them. This should open the market. Every car on the market with a 400mile range usually starts near £100k yet this is £60k and fully loaded with all the options.
Thought they had gone bust ??
There have been a lot of complains about this car like software glitches and malfunctions the car is definitely not flawless and beside that
Fisker might go bankrupt again like two previous times!
It’s definitely better it get Tesla
Like all EV vehicles I love it but the cost is too much for the average person in the US. Someone call me with the KIA of the EV world hits the street
Evs require a Manual Mode that saves energy on stuff like powered boot lift, powered screen swivel, powered seat move, powered sunroof opening etc...
What exactly do you think that would achieve? A significant increase in range? 🤣🤣
@@SusieSmart Well, every little helps.
@@akpowarri3504 a few yards of extra range isn’t something people are gonna really worry about when they have 250 - 400 miles (440,000 to 704,000 yards) of range in the first place 🤷♂️
All of the electrical commoditys have absolutely no impact on the range. Drivingstyle is the number one thing to look at when you want to extend your range.
Will attract non SUV and/or EV buyers with that price, power, range and style. Looks like a winner tbh but what about the dealer network?.
Why do journalists always tell you the base price when all they ever drive is a top spec one laden with options? This test car is well over £60,000 in the UK.
@@silverghini2629agreed, always feels a bit dishonest to me
There isnt a dealer network.
love it, and love that it's not a Tesla
What’s wrong with Tesla
This is better than *T-E-S-L-A*
Repeat... Better than 🚘
I’d have the entry level one based on price and practicality. Who needs 600 bhp?
The Porsche Macan EV will be better but more expensive.
Much better than the Tesla alright 💯🤣🤙👍👍👍💪✌️👏
No glove box ! Didn’t he see the way Toyota got blasted for that?
Another manufacturer that is allergic to rear wipers. At least MG listened and have already added it to all MG4s made now.
