What is that whole piece called that you cut out ? I have a 3 piece pan but as I was putting it in to I seen I couldn’t weld it to that because that part you cut out is rusted out . I just need that . Anyone know what it’s called ?

Thank you for contacting OPGI with your inquiry. The video does not show the complete removal, but the whole Wheelhouse was removed. This had to be done due to the fact that the Inner Wheelhouse is not offered for the convertible models. See part number CH27794 for the complete Inner/Outer Wheelhouse. I hope this information is helpful.

Hi, Jason Madderra. Would this be a very similar process for a 69 Chevelle hardtop? Eventually, the wheelhouses, and quarter panels will need to be replaced anyway. I am currently working on the floors first. Keep the car on the frame, correct? Thanks for your help!!!

Hector, thanks for the question. This process is recommended for both coupes and convertible models. If you do not have full access to a rotisserie rack it would be best to leave the floor in for stability.

Did that trunk pan already come with pre-welded braces underneath?

Would you recommend doing the floor pan first?

Josh, thank you for contacting OPGI. If the complete floor pan is going to be replaced then we would say yes. If you are just planning on patches, you can do the trunk first.
