In a sea of nature creators who try to make things sound more intense than they are, and voice inflection to ensure you know they are having a great time. Your content is thoughtful, respectful, and diligently filled with knowledge I never knew I needed to know. Your detailed filming and consistent commentary put your channel in one of the highest tiers of quality I’ve ever seen. Truly beautiful. Thank you.
One of your best. A bunch of folks tell a good canoe story, but your nature filming is exceptional. Should be a world-renowned nature videographer any time now. Hope Canada appreciates your work, awards are due. At the very least a tourism grant!
I am so very thankful I stumbled onto your channel. When my wife was diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer, we ended up watching a lot more TV than usual. Over these past several months we have seen some of the most beautiful country in the world, conquered some worrisome rapids, portaged when we didn't really want to, found a nice camp spot, hung the hammocks, and had a delicious brook trout dinner, all thanks to you. My wife died this past Friday 9/6/24, but the hours and hours of comfort you provided with your videos was such a wonderful escape. Thank you Jon and Erin.
So terribly sorry for your loss Steve. I too lost my husband of 46 years & found this channel to bring me so much peace & comfort through my grief. May this also bring you peace as well 🙏 ❤
My deepest condolences Steve...can't imagine what you're going through but we're honoured to have provided some comfort to you two in such a painful time 💚💚
I know you took a long trip but I worry about your channel when you post content so infrequently. I think it's been too long to keep your market share as it were.
@LostLakes Awesome! Can't wait!!! I was thinking of you two when I was in Colorado camping a couple weeks back. Wishing I had some sort of kayak with me! Took a wild hike at RMNP, caught some nice trout, ate some amazing food. Now I just have to find a way to make a living at it like you!
Another incredible trip lived vicariously through you, Jon. Your cinematography is second to none and your videos are calm respites in a turbulent world.
Caught this video 11 whole seconds after it was posted! This is one of my favorite camping channels, and im just so happy to spend another enjoying the beautiful Canadian wilderness all the way from Florida!
You have mastered video editing The both of you deserve awards for making people aware of the beauty of lakes and rivers and the outdoors. And protection that's needed!
I can't begin to tell you how addicted I've become to your videos. The content is just what i need to escape the demands of life. Thank you for the brief but much appreciated escape from the daily grind! Keep doing what you do and providing everyone with a beautiful look into a world we will likely never get to enjoy to the level that we would like. Your videos are above and beyond everyone else's.
ivee got a fever and the only prescription is another lost lakes update and upload! :) wishing you all the best. looking forward to hearing from you guys.
The effort you put into these masterpieces is incredible…how is this not the best camping and adventure channel out there…always a great ambassador for canada
The least intelligent creature in the Canadian wood, you ask. Well, depending on timing and location, I believe it would be the gnarly endowed Xander Bottleneck 🤣. Great vlog, by the way.
I like the gentle reminder Leafs sticker on the back of The Complete Wilderness Paddler, because after I watch the Leafs all I want to do is retreat to the most remote stretch of wilderness to escape the stress, sadness and sorrow. 22 years of worry-free May camping and counting!
As a child of CBC and the Nature of Things, your videography is amazing... I hope that it brings you success as you deserve. As usual, thank you for the peace you bring.
Thank you for talking me along through pristine wilderness and endless beauty Really appreciate all that encompasses bringing this to us. Look forward to your upcoming adventure!
We attempted White Otter from Ignace side going in from Devils Gap Lake first week of July. Torrential rains and winds made us call it to avoid the big wide open lakes into White Otter. Great video.
Excellent video and pics. So much cleaner and crisp. Love it. Im happy that your starting to do more episodes. Nice tent too. I cant wait to see more.🥰
I've been looking forward to another one of your videos for what feels like all summer! It brings me such inner calm to sit down and immerse myself in your latest trip - you always manage to capture nature so beautifully. Thank you!
Hey John! Just finished my first canoe trip in Canada. I did the Hap Wilson route 6 in the Temagami and I am wanting more already! 1. I have a great respect for what you do now and you are the reason for me coming to Ontario.Every day was tough and you make it look easy. 2. Head winds are no joke. I battled 12-14 mile an hour winds almost every day and learned to get on the lake at sunrise to make my miles. 3. I am coming back for more and butter chicken and naan are on the menu. Thank you for your videos and allowing me to discover Canada.
I came back to this trip to escape gloomy autumn mood. Cannot have enough of loon to add to the magic, my dog was intrigued this time even though watched this with me before… Thank you so much for sharing!
Refreshing to see you releasing your catch immediately and no "look what I caught?!" shots. I always enjoy Lost Lakes channel. Been watching since 2020... the year from hell.
Thanks as always Michael! Yeah I'm letting go of the ego side of angling...some fish are interesting enough to show to the good camera but for the most part the shot from the gopro on the gunnel is good enough
Elder Canadian. = Jon, I was so happy to see the large number of tadpoles. = They mark the health! = Your mind's eye for detail has become a wonder for my time spent with you and Erin! =

John you just never disappoint when your videos drop! Quetico always delivers great wildlife and scenery. Cant wait for your next adventure up north with Erin!
I was so excited to watch a new video!!! I have watched every single one of them more than once!! Your ability to capture nature and take us on these journeys with you is such a gift....thank you so much❤
Your photography just gets better with every single video. Your macro shots of the flowers and the various insects is simply wonderful. I paddled the boundary waters many, many years ago, but never paddled in this park. I may come out of retirement and drive north. This is one of the many beautiful parks in this part of Canada. Just have to say that every Saturday, my husband and I anxiously check to see if you have a new video out! It's our favorite weekend ritual! Coffee & Lost Lakes. We enjoy your content so much!
Again another high quality video that was a joy to watch. I had written before stating that your videos are so beautiful had you thought of doing a coffee table book with some of the beautiful pictures you have. I also, along with my wife, feel that you could also sell individual pictures from your trips. The quality is worth hanging in someone"s wall. Before anyone rage comments...aerial footage was capture outside park boundaries, looking in :)
They can fly planes in and drop people off but a drone disturbs wildlife..........
@@marsh8729drones can go everywhere! Planes can't. I don't like planes btw.
It’s sad that somebody doesn’t have anything better to do than post a rage comment to this channel’s page.
How could any rage be associated with, in or around this channel?!🙄like omg fer real? Hahaha this is the best you tube channel! MY FAVORITE. 😁⚡❤️
