Unless I missed it, I believe torpedo damage only has a restoration coefficient of 0.1, so keep the Eurobeat handy if you want your heal maximised. However, flooding damage itself can be fully healed?
ummmmm its actually very smart (for cruisers at least). the repair party restores as a percentage. so say for example your ship has 100 hp and the repair party restores 20% of your hp, then you will get 20 hp back. If your hp is 130 with Survivability Expert, you will still get 20% back which is 26 which is obviously greater than 20. These are not my words, its Yuro's.

What I really want to know is how the money and scoring works! I want to know how people can afford to run Tier 8+ ships. I can win, place in the top 4 on the team score board and lose up to 10k credits. I want to know how the behavior reward driving mechanics can be so at odds at each other. How XP rewards you for playing one way but the credits penalizes that exact same behavior.
Perhaps there can be an option to enable a display for [Healable HP Stack] in the HUD? That would be incredibly useful, especially on ships like Tashkent
If you check out Aslains Mod pack there is a mod in it that shows you that very stat. All of the mods in that pack don't change game play, mostly just add more information to your HUD. I have a crap laptop and I can still run a few of them. Bigger minimap, more information about the ships on the team panel, ect. Worth checking out
I run my game off of a toaster, so a mod pack on top of that doesn't really do me any favors. But, Wargaming frequently steals- ehr... *Borrows* ideas from the modding community anyways, so perhaps that idea could be implemented.
@@Fighterpilot555 I totally feel that, my PC gets a solid 20-28 FPS. Might still be worth checking out, the mods I run didn't drop my FPS at all, but they definitely have some In the pack that will drop it a bunch.
I guarantee you this mod doesn't decrease performance. I recently upgraded to a PC that runs the game at 75 fps, but I used to run it on the equivalent of a typewriter that got me 16-18 fps on good days, and I could still run a few hud-centric mods.
Do NOT use survival expert on a battleship.... instead use Basics of Survivability. SE = 350 health per tier, and it's ONLY good for destroyers. It's a running gag to see battleships use SE, and it basically gives them enough extra health for 1 HE shell. You can use those 3 skill points way better in BoS as the fire damage will burn for less time = much better in the long run.
Totally agree but I had a look at how many hit points I actually loose from fires didn't think BOS actually outweighed quartermaster and an extra charge of repair party... but that could just be me...

The stack increases whenever you take damage. It doesn't matter when you hit repair psrty. It's why some BBs can negate damage from 1 fire as it is burning just by hitting repair party.
*The senseless Fusō abuse continues to pain me and you're only prolonging her suffering!* One of the reasons Fusō is my favorite ship in WoWs is the armor. When angled, your side armor is a minimum of 6" thick and the amidships deck 35mm. This means a high amount of AP will bounce and HE won't penetrate either, minus shells on the ends. It supports a captain to get a lot out of their heals, as this video shows. I've hit or come close to the practical maximum damage tanked... 105064, on a good number of occasions. (Premium consumables, Superintendent and India Delta Signals) Interesting to note that while heal scales up with survivability expert now, the increase in HP proportional to a BB's HP pool is relatively small. Invest your 3 points in superintendent and the HP you get from an extra heal outweighs that from SE- you can invest the other 3 points elsewhere. There's far too many SE battleships going around right now, especially at high tier...

I think its nice that some damage (like he spam+fires) is less effective against repair party, but even then all damage matters at least a bit, as you can´t heal everything back (and u run out of heals eventually).
Need torpedoes, like why can the torps do say about 20 000 damage and then it hits a Gearings bow and manages to do about 14 000 or less. Could it be from the damage absorbed effect? But sometimes happens at the start of a game.
They basically already explained that but here you go: A Gearing has around 20k HP in total so the bow and stern sections have less. Eat a torpedo there and you will only gain so much damage until the section is out of HP. If you eat a torp in the middle of your DD it will deal full damage and with many torpedoes that hit might be enough to kill you. Bigger ships have a protective system called torpedo belt and there it depends on the situation wether you should take a torp on bow or belt but I am sure they will cover that sooner or later.
@_Montagne every ship has a torpedo protection value. This value is 55% for Yamato for example. If Gearing shoots a torpedo to Yamato and hits it in its torpedo bulges, the damage will be 9000. That's why you need 20 gazillion torpedos to sink a Yamato. Torpedo protection also reduces the risk of flooding. You can check the exact math at the Flooding page in the wargaming wiki because its too complicated to explain here.
Okay... you can regain HP that is not in the Repair stack in the operations with a repair circle and in Random/Ranked with the Kraken ability of Yamamoto. Could have been interesting to mention I guess. Also nice Survivability Expert on Iowa :kappa:.
How does the "you can not hit this enemy" thing work with torpedos. I discovered this in training when trying to use Phra Ruang against z-52 and other tier 10 destroyers.
The Pan-Asian Destroyers like Phra Ruang use deep water torpedos, which have better concealment than normal torpedos. Instead of sacrificing other stats like damage or speed, they made it so Deep Water torpedos could not hit destroyers.
All destroyers with Deep Water Torpedoes cannot hit the other destroyers. Asashio also has Deep Water Torpedoes, but more picky that those can only hit battleships & carriers.
i looked it up the english wiki is correct now it looks like they made the video filming an outdated version, tho be careful non english forums may be outdated (e.g. the german one doesnt even list British BBs other then Warspite ---> what is a shame imo)

wow! so if the part lose all it shp, it is saturated and can't take any dmg, but if we use repair party, ppl can dmg it again! Man, fire is more dangerous after knowing than, because hp of part restore before the hp bar, therefore the hp loss to fire dmg can get your ship part restored and ppl can do more raw HE dmg. For exmaple: the bow has 3000hp, after doing 6000dmg to the bow, any next hit will do half dmg, because bow can't take any more. (from pervious how it works). but if there is a 6000 fire dmg accumulated, and used a repair party, the ship will recover more than 6000hp, but both of your hull and bow hp has fully restored. Then your bow will take more dmg from shells.
namely, if a player can get a BB lose its hp thru shell and fire around 50/50, then every time he used the repiar party, you will be easier to reduce its hp since saturation no longer exist
Sadly many BB players havent learnt to use it... like last battle. Me in the Monarch. So i tried to push in to help the cruisers on A cap on estuary. Got a citadel on the Amagi, but suddenly understood that i was in a bad spot. As the only BB except for the Bismarck on the 1 line, who i hoped would turn down and take some heat from the rest of the team. ....buuut...nooo... he kept on steaming along the 1 line. I reported him twice. Only when he realized he was about to be flanked he reacted and stole 2 kills he didnt deserve. So my meaning is: there should be some steel-wall-thing for potential damage... and a pu$$¥ award for ships with heal that hasnt taken too much damage/potential.
poor Fuso. She has been abuse for several episodes now. actually right from the start. anyway why does the british have higher co efficient that the Japanese. take Yamato and Conqueror for example. Yamato can only restore the percent of HP that other BBs down her line can but Conqueror can practically rebuild itself in the middle of battle.

I think its nice that some damage (like he spam+fires) is less effective against repair party, but even then all damage matters at least a bit, as you can´t heal everything back (and u run out of heals eventually).

Need torpedoes, like why can the torps do say about 20 000 damage and then it hits a Gearings bow and manages to do about 14 000 or less. Could it be from the damage absorbed effect? But sometimes happens at the start of a game.

They basically already explained that but here you go:
A Gearing has around 20k HP in total so the bow and stern sections have less. Eat a torpedo there and you will only gain so much damage until the section is out of HP. If you eat a torp in the middle of your DD it will deal full damage and with many torpedoes that hit might be enough to kill you.
Bigger ships have a protective system called torpedo belt and there it depends on the situation wether you should take a torp on bow or belt but I am sure they will cover that sooner or later.
@_Montagne every ship has a torpedo protection value. This value is 55% for Yamato for example. If Gearing shoots a torpedo to Yamato and hits it in its torpedo bulges, the damage will be 9000. That's why you need 20 gazillion torpedos to sink a Yamato. Torpedo protection also reduces the risk of flooding. You can check the exact math at the Flooding page in the wargaming wiki because its too complicated to explain here.

How does the "you can not hit this enemy" thing work with torpedos. I discovered this in training when trying to use Phra Ruang against z-52 and other tier 10 destroyers.
The Pan-Asian Destroyers like Phra Ruang use deep water torpedos, which have better concealment than normal torpedos. Instead of sacrificing other stats like damage or speed, they made it so Deep Water torpedos could not hit destroyers.
All destroyers with Deep Water Torpedoes cannot hit the other destroyers. Asashio also has Deep Water Torpedoes, but more picky that those can only hit battleships & carriers.

I would like to point out. Even though it says SE or survivability Expert boots your heal. It does not. Please do not take SE on battleships....
It only boosts very little both in total amount of heal & rate of heal per second. SE is only recommended on high tier "gunboats".

wow! so if the part lose all it shp, it is saturated and can't take any dmg, but if we use repair party, ppl can dmg it again! Man, fire is more dangerous after knowing than, because hp of part restore before the hp bar, therefore the hp loss to fire dmg can get your ship part restored and ppl can do more raw HE dmg. For exmaple: the bow has 3000hp, after doing 6000dmg to the bow, any next hit will do half dmg, because bow can't take any more. (from pervious how it works). but if there is a 6000 fire dmg accumulated, and used a repair party, the ship will recover more than 6000hp, but both of your hull and bow hp has fully restored. Then your bow will take more dmg from shells.
namely, if a player can get a BB lose its hp thru shell and fire around 50/50, then every time he used the repiar party, you will be easier to reduce its hp since saturation no longer exist
Sadly many BB players havent learnt to use it... like last battle. Me in the Monarch. So i tried to push in to help the cruisers on A cap on estuary. Got a citadel on the Amagi, but suddenly understood that i was in a bad spot. As the only BB except for the Bismarck on the 1 line, who i hoped would turn down and take some heat from the rest of the team.
....buuut...nooo... he kept on steaming along the 1 line. I reported him twice. Only when he realized he was about to be flanked he reacted and stole 2 kills he didnt deserve.
So my meaning is: there should be some steel-wall-thing for potential damage... and a pu$$¥ award for ships with heal that hasnt taken too much damage/potential.

poor Fuso. She has been abuse for several episodes now. actually right from the start. anyway why does the british have higher co efficient that the Japanese. take Yamato and Conqueror for example. Yamato can only restore the percent of HP that other BBs down her line can but Conqueror can practically rebuild itself in the middle of battle.
