    If you are looking to get more patients into your medical practice than it is crucial that you follow these tips to help you acquire new patients.
    1. How is Your Patient Experience?
    When we come in and analyze a practice there are a few things we look at. But the first thing is very important. What is the communication look like with the patients?
    What does the follow-up look like with patients? If someone comes in for an appointment are they being followed-up with to see if they have any questions, concerns, or comments?
    How friendly is your staff? What are they saying to the patients? Are they making the patient feel welcome, or do patients feel like outsiders? Is the staff approachable or hidden behind frosted glass?
    Is the doctor kind to patients, is he personable, does he take the time to get to know people when they come in for their assessments or treatments? If you have a doctor primarily focused on science, that is ok, but he still needs to make a concerted effort to build some sort of pleasantry with the patients.
    2. Are you marketing your medical practice?
    What does your website look like? Is it optimized to be viewed on a phone? Is it easy for potential customers to find the information they are searching for or is your website cumbersome and frustrating?
    When they first land on your website what are they seeing? Book an appointment, learn more, about the practice?
    These simple details are what is going to get a patient to book an appointment with you or go somewhere else.
    3. Are you getting Referrals?
    If you are an Orthodontist, for example, are you going out and building relationships with Dentist in order to get their referrals. Take them out to lunch, give them free baseball or football tickets, or just start a conversation and see how you can help them.
    You want to be the one they think of when someone asks about Orthodontics, and you want to send your patients to them when your patients need general care on their teeth.
    Self-referrals are also a large opportunity that many doctors miss out on. You want your brand / practice to be synonymous with the ailment you treat. If you are an Orthodontic that specializes in Invisalign then you want to build a brand in your community so that whenever someone thinks about Braces and Invisalign they are thinking of you.
    Get out into the community, be apart of events, and build relationships.
