- In this video I turn my first Inside Out woodturning project, a Christmas Tree Ornament with a Snowman suspended inside.
The main turning is made from 4 pieces of Padauk each 30x30x160, and the finial and Snowman are turned from Spalted Norwegian Maple.

Thanks for watching
Thanks for a fine project. It has given me some motivation to move to inside out ornaments. Thanks
I know this is a late comment! I don't wear an expensive metal watch when turning any more - one swipe from your chuck jaws and...!! Loved the ornament.
Nice job well done have to try one of them
love it....great job!
That is fantastic!
that looks great
Wow! Amazing. Great job. I can't believe it's the first inside-outside turning. 💜💜💜💜
I so enjoyed your video you did such a great job on this I can't hardly believe through first one
I think that if you had put a smaller decoration of some sort on the top made out of the same material as the bottom one...that would have balanced out the piece.
Hi Nathan, One thing you may want to do is clean the wood with denatured alcohol because padulk is a oily wood. Then you can use your finishes. The two oils react with each other, that is why the red turned dark. You did a nice job and it shows how beautiful a simple pattern can be. Ken
Thanks Nathan lovely step by step video it came out a treat 👍👍
Thank you Barry
As the others have said great job good work awesome project keep up the good work
I just subscribed after you said this was your first “inside out” turning. It came out perfect. I haven’t tried one yet because of the fear of getting the chisel in to far and scaring the heck out of me. I’ll keep watching.
That is amazing. I'm going to try one. Your such an artist.
Outstanding !
Nice! I’m trying to learn how to make Christmas ornaments, and your video was very informative and enjoyable to watch. Thanks for the instructional audio, instead of just turning. It really helps. Great video, can’t wait to see some of your others.
Merry Christmas

Félicitation Nathan très bel ornement espérant réussir aussi bien que toi.
Beautiful work, thanks for sharing! But for us rebels, what are Yorkshire and Hampshire buffing compounds?

q
question for you, you said you put oil and resin on it can you explain more about what that is
Alright
Love the video. Had sound down til the very end so maybe I missed it, but how long would you say it takes you, start to finish, to complete this ornament? My skill level is lower, so I’ll be longer making it obviously. What’s a fair time once a guy has made a few? Thank you.
Beautiful. What were the measurements you started with?
Very nice, your touch on the fennials is fantastic. My first video is an inside out ornament. You now have a new subscriber and I'd appreciate you checking out mine aswell.
