I've got the 8S with some Max amp batteries and 1600 KV motor and it's hard to control as it is. I think if I was actually going to race the thing I have to drop down for 6s. My friend has got one that is 12s but it's with the 800 KB motor because it's the only motor that can make it. The thing has unbelievable torque and RPM and you better have that beer mesh right or you're eating pinions like you wouldn't believe. I don't think they can guarantee the parts like they do now or even close to it with a 12s

i did the xmaxx power up kit the diffs are beefier although the torque biasing diff fades fast and i think the power seems less less wheelies for sure i think im pulling the torque biasing diff out

I want to understand what i can do when it comes to upgrades or maybe just gearing changes from stock to something better that doesnt tear each other up? I want to be able to have a faster truck and able to bash with less chance of bashing and having it either heat or tear up the gearing. Thx

3:00 Anti flex vs more weight... if the weight of the truck is the problem you just made it worst .. but maybe stopping the flexing of it might help if that was the problem .. Next Test would simply be replace diff gears with stronger ones then try lighter tiers , less traction , Weight removal , less braking and punch in the esc settings . we take upgrading cars here at Jet Noise Huge Motors really seriously . XD

The new maxx has uprated drive train and better tires. It worked out not much more just to get a new maxx and sell the old 1 as opposed to getting all the bits for the old 1. Its always fun getting a new toy too! Cheers

you guys should try grey Vulkem 116 polyurethane sealant culk. Water proof yet flexible and adisive all in one ;-) good part is it comes in a tube for a culk gun no mess like popsickle sticks lol just kidding bud Nice X Maxx.
I used some of the adhesive / calk on my body and it unfortunately was heavy. Straight fiberglass seems to be the hardest and lightest for all purposes IMOP
Since I'm on a short budget my local rc shop offered my the chance to trade my ninco xb-10 (1/10) with a carson dragster 3 brushless combo and 100 euros for a carson virus 4.0 brushless it runs double 2s 3000mah stock(1/8) id really like ti keep the ninco since it's my first rc but it's quite a unique chance. Should i accept it? I loved the video kev.
I just got one of these 3 weeks ago got it for 1600 cdn. AN got lucky bc the rc shore had some used but basically bran new traxxas batteries with the duel ez charge charger with the truck they are 2 3s batteries but I got them n the charger for a good price I got the hole truck n batteries for 1600 tax in what luck I had :) jus to get 2 4 s batteries next but still loads of fun on 6s :) I ran my self down with it last night tho n did not get it on cam :( I need a cam set up
Hey Kevin thanks for your uploads, I really enjoy seeing your videos I already have an Arrma Outcast and I dont even bash but im sick of getting replacement parts for. I was set on buying a Tekno MT410 because of its durabilty but i came across your XMaxx video and what you put it through and it seems rediciliously durable Im not confused about what to get. Does the XMaxx require replacement parts often?
If you look through all my 8s videos all I needed to replace was 2 wheel bearings, a prop shaft and a hub. I don't include shock shafts because I had the wrong ones fitted.
You're always jumping these things, do you ever crank on some preload on the shocks, or go for some stronger shocks? Fabricate a mount for double shocks maybe?
I bash the heck out of mine, stock shocks are pretty much perfect, just the rear end needs the traxxas TiN coated shock shafts, and when you rebuild the shocks you want little to no rebound on the shocks themselves(too much rebound will blow seals/won't handle properly) For preload I crank the collars down ~1" up front ~1.5" on the rear
Kevin I have a red cat racing volcano epx with a 3100kv brushless set up, I recently went through 5 pinion gears ranging from 17T to 21T in minutes,should I get hardened steel pinion gears instead of aluminum or could it be my gearing? I have a 64T steel spur gear

What's the difference between what you ended up with versus putting those same parts on a last-generation X-Maxx? Those are all discounted at present.

I used 5 min epoxy but it is starting to crack and come away I think something a bit more flexible may be better
