Hi Sam, i just wanted to leave a comment about the way you run your channel. I love that you always write your recipes on the description box and that you write them in order of how you’re supposed to follow it. not everyone does that. thank you for all your work. i will be making this tonight after work.
I made these for our elderly residents here in New Zealand and they turned out PERFECT! They taste delicious! I also use your Banana Muffin Recipe as a base. Thank you so much for your great content that is personally tested by you. You must put a lot of time into perfecting your recipes and it shows in the final product. Thank you again!
Thank you for putting the amounts in the direction portion of the recipe. It is so helpful to not have to scroll continuously back to the top of the recipe.
I finally had enough ripe bananas in the freezer and made this recipe. Yummmmmmy The recipe was so easy to follow and I trust your recipes that they have been tested and double checked. Thank you
I absolutely can't wait to try this. They look amazing. Thanks so much. The boys will be so excited when they get home from school to have a cookie. I used to love to come home and have a cookie with a glass of milk while I told my Mom all about my day.
I made this today! Thank you for sharing your amazing recipes always. I tried out so many different recipes from many other people, by far, yours the best 💕
Hi Sam. I have enjoyed scratch baking for a long time. I made the Banana Bread Chocolate Chip cookies today. They were delicious! Thank you for sharing it. Dawn
Just made those as I had some leftover bananas, they’re great ! My fist cookies didn’t expand very much, so I flattened the next ones and they turned out perfect 🤩
Definitely going to make these soon! 😋 I can relate to your banana story, as many moms probably can. Lol! I'm making your banana cake recipe (might add mini semisweet chocolate chips), two layers, with strawberry buttercream center and vanilla whipped cream icing fir my Birthday Wednesday the 23rd. Banana and strawberry also go great together. Years ago, I bought a delicious strawberry and banana cream pie, so I thought of your recipes in cake form. 😉 Have a blessed beautiful day with your family. Love from Kentucky. 🙏🏻✝️💖🇺🇸☺️
Holy sugar, Sam these are AMAZING. they are so soft and chewy with a tiny bit of cakiness to it. i am TOTALLY making these over and over and over and over again. the only thing i didn't do was add sugar on top since i didn't have any pearl/turbabindo sugar. this is actually the first recipe of yours i made, but it 100000 percent won't be the last. first time doing the large/mini chocolate mix. (won't be the last time for that either). I was able to get 24 big-ish size cookies [not 1/4 cup size i just used my ice cream scoop] and baked for 12 minutes with a 5 minute cool tray (then cooled on a rack) this was a perfect bite. I'm not sure if i would want to have the batter sit for a few hours and let the brown butter do its thing or not. I'll also say i was kinda nervous about toasting the butter and the nuts at the same time (i really couldn't tell if the butter was getting to my preferred of toastiness, but basically once the foam came it smelled good and it was great. saves time too!! will do this tip again. i don't think i'll ever make banana bread again lmao. just like brownies why bother when you can have it in cookie form!
Thank you, Sam! I LOVE how thick these cookies are. If I wanted to make them without the banana, would I just up the brown sugar to 3/4c and maybe do one whole egg and one egg yolk?
Honestly I would just go for a different cookie recipe if you didn't want the banana in these. There would be too many alterations needed for me to say exactly how to do it.
I recommend that you substitute your delicious (and easy to make) candied walnuts for all future recipes that include nuts. I can’t go back to plain nuts now after I made them. I’m spoiled and it’s all your fault! 🤷🏻♂️ Also, I know how much you value butter, so I recommend that you get some dairy cows and make your own. 😉 I know that you won’t, but based on a video posted earlier this year showing your backyard, you certainly have the room for a few moo moos! 🐮 Spectacular show!!!
One of my family recipes is banana chocolate chip cookies, which my late grandfather made as an army baker in world war 2, and then scaled down to ONLY use about 800 g of banana (my conversion) Sadly, they are not very good cookies other than the nostalgia value, so I look forward to trying these.
I have a banana bread chocolate chip cookie I have used for years, but mine is cake like and I use mini chocolate chips. Then frost them with a basic buttercream frosting with a little cinnamon mixed in. I'll have to try yours, those look yummy.
@@SugarSpunRun thank you.. my wife as been getting organic bananas lately from our church and there is the time when she brings back a lot more than she actually takes to work for lunch. So this recipe I'm going to see if she is interested in making one day. But she has a tendency to take what she makes to work. And I believe that's a lot of work for her to do not only that it's the cleanup and we don't really have that a large of a kitchen
These look DELISH. here is my tip. I usually brown my butter an hour ahead of time and leave it on the counter to cool. then i take out my eggs and my mis en place thus by the time the eggs are room temperature - so is the browned butter, and you don't have to put it anywhere too cool. :) works like a charm.
@@MrSuperPsymon honestly because i never feel i need to. if someone wanted to do that - go ahead of course. like i said since i am already waiting for my items to be at room temperature and i usually just let nature do its thing. i take that time to let the butter cool down naturally
@@cbkqmom basically getting all your ingredients ready to cook/bake. :) so for example when i make cookies (and i have to brown butter): 1: i brown butter [let this cool naturally] 2: get out eggs and have it ready for room temp 3: weigh out my flours and sugars, liquids 4: pull out all my extra stuff (spices/salt etc). 5: relax for an hour or so however long it takes the egg to be room temp. (i know there are 'fast tricks' to do it quickly but i do like the time and honestly. if you realize you started and you're missing something it gives ou time to go to the store!!). then after the 1-2 hrs, the butter is cool, the eggs are warm and baking can start!
Can this batter be made and stored for later baking? Like in the fridge or freeze? (I’m going to thaw some frozen bananas to try this, just curious if I can make a batch to freeze for Christmas cookie baking day, or if I can at least make ahead for an easy baking day)

Hey, Sam… this is off topic, but do you ever use wax paper candy wraps for caramels, etc? If so, can you recommend one to me? Thanks in advance. 👍🏼
I don’t typically use them so I wouldn’t have a good recommendation for them. 😔
Can organic bananas they brown very well or none organic would be better? Awesome recipe thank you Sam ❤

How many did you make?
It will make about 18 cookies. :)
It's her again the cookie Mom I called her that because I'm making an imaginary joke. 🤣🤔🍪🍪
ok to add walnuts?
Sure thing! :)
Can you use vegan butter ?
I haven't tried it so I can't say for sure, but I think it could work.
