My favorite AMTRAK ride was from Detroit to LA (where i was born and raised). It was a three day trip, and I had to switch trains in Chicago. Awesome ride and adventure!

The Pacific Surfliner from San Diego to Los Angeles, Oxnard, Ventura, Santa Barbara & San Luis Opisbo, CA is the best way to travel in Southern California. I rode round trip on the Pacific Surfliner from San Diego to Oxnard on 5/27/2017 for a visit in Oxnard & Ventura for the day, I enjoyed my trip on the Pacific Surfliner, I rode back to San Diego the same day, it was very relaxing, comfortable and the best part didn't have to deal with the traffic at all. I travel long distance on Amtrak and will be traveling a lot more on Amtrak in the future.
