Another great video man!!! It's still a good thing that CalTrans still has their F59PHIs running alongside the Chargers!!! I especially like the fact that they still have their classic mechanical bells and great sounding K5LA horns especially at high speed through crossings and along with nice P5 horns on the Cab Cars as well!!! Once again nice video!! :) +CoasterFan2105
Ya know, Mike. I wish Amtrak didn't have to replace mechanical bells on Surfliner and Cascades F59's. They didn't have WSDOT or Caltrans written on them.
This is a great video, Mike. I really appreciated how you mixed up the shots to give different views from train to train. Beautiful catches and scenery! Big thumbs up.
KariLynn Mayer they have locomotive and car repair shops. They can repair a lot of things, sometimes practically rebuilding units if nessecary. In cases that can’t be fixed, they’re usually scrapped. There’s a couple videos on TH-cam about so called train graveyards where this happens
the danbury branch on new haven does overpollute for what we call catch-22s about new rochelle with a 35 mph speed restriction which is likely to a judge
Great stuff, per usual! Does anybody know the location of the diamond at 0:38? (The only thing I wish CoasterFan had in his videos, a breakdown of locations/trains)
Found it! California Ave./E St. in Fresno. I found the UP 196.7 milepost sign, and UP mileposts on the Central Valley subdivision are from SF, measured roughly 180 miles to Fresno, and followed the line there.
I've taken all three of them many times throughout the past 15+ years, especially the CC between Oakland and Sacramento. I'm really bummed that the current bi-level railcars (the California Cars) are being replaced with single-level "Calidot" cars after the original contractor screwed up the bi-level replacement designs - rocket science, apparently... The new generic railcars' doors won't even match the standard height of California station platforms. I will miss enjoying the views from the upper level!
Those cars you mentioned are Amfleets and horizons that are owned by Amtrak and Comet cars that are owned by multiple passenger rail companies in the US

Awesome video Mike. I love the clips. I’ll be going to Jack London Square in May 4, and 5 so I can’t wait to see some of the AmCal trains. Nice job!

Nice video! love the shots!
I live in Pleasant Hill, and the Capitol Corridor passes within two miles of my apartment. On a really quiet day, I can hear the horns.
Can you do a train talk on where trains go to get fixed and what happens if trains don’t work anymore?

Cool Amtrak action • hope to see you chasing the Big Boy 4014 • Cheers 🚂
Hey Mike, you should stay tuned for Franklin Park railroad days. Would you like to see that in Chicago.
It's pretty sad for the final run of the F59PH it's like me as an aviation lover it's like the final flight of the MD-80 for American Airlines
Nice trainz
Been waiting for so long!
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️😎😎😎😎 I love Amtrak I will soon take the Coast Starlight any tips ?
Hey Coaster? Didn't You Know That Coaster Will Be Retiring There F40PH-2Ds With Siemiens SC-44 "Chargers" And They Will Have A New Paint Scheme
He's already aware.
Some of the buses already have the new scheme
@@IronHorsefan1869 flex and breeze right?
@@d64tv06 Sadly the new chargers don't have the wave scheme
how do you tell the difference between the San Joaquins train and the Capitol Corridor train they look the same
the apartment first of all hosts a lot of parties at valbella and they take the merritt parkway to north street
I got 4 iPhone chargers packed with me for my next trip with Amtrak oh wait i have a fifth 0:31

they use 11 rhetorical services a day to 11 parties in new york city twenty years ago
I live near a railroad tracks in the area of CA And sometimes a lot pass
Has the software in the new locomotives been updated to allow power braking yet?
You should film Trains for in Berkeley, CA at the Cedar street crossing. please.
It's so sad the GEs are leaving Amtrak I grew up on then
Fast! Amtrak california!
Is the amtrak California npcu in your shots the only one in that paint scheme
There are 3 in the scheme. 90215, 90218 "Oakland", and 90225.
Would you come back to film Black Mesa & Lake Powell
Lol that’s the train that passes right by my house
Would you Film Frisco 1630 At The Illinois Railway Musuem!
Sweeeeet!
Is it true that the NorCal (San Joaquin and Capitol Corridor) passenger cars are being retired soon?
No, very few will be retired.
@@AVeryRandomPerson why I forgot you mentioned that in other vidoes
0:39 Where was this filmed? Interesting that an intersection between tracks is next to a crossing
If you still wondering that is the sunmaid diamond in Fresno, California
your schedule might get cancelled due to new rochelle intersection on metro north new haven line
6:43 that’s San Clemente
Also can you rail fan in jack London square
At 0:37 That F59PHI's K5LA Sounds Like A Norfolk Southern's K5LA

It's only for the San Joaquins, the CC will retain California Cars.
And some will transfer to the Surfliner.
I'm a railfan
San juaquin
Sorry Mike but I'm going to have to use your videos
0:39. Drums
90229’s more like 90278!
0:51 it is not amtrak california
It is a corridor train in California
The Surfliner is a AmCal train as it is sponsored by CalTrans.

All those backwards running trains just look wrong somehow

I’m first haha 🤣
Nope your second. Look at the 'Newest first'
