I really miss the fog effect in modern gaming; I know it's weird, but I'd have preferred many Switch games used fog to reduce draw distance than the horrible vaseline dynamic resolution and pop-in.
What I love about this channel is finding new games I’ve never heard of. Often I find myself playing the same few games and I’m at a point where I want variety but sometimes the amount of games out there can be overwhelming.

You should just make a 10 hour game picksups compilation of a lot of your game pickups videos. I would put that on and watch it all day and into the night. There's something really enjoyable about the game pickups videos seeing little bits of information about all sorts of games for different systems and just general impressions to in depth impressions. Really have enjoyed your channel for all these years. Hope you hit 1 million soon. You deserve way more subs.

Dude, my grandma of all people, got me into gaming on the N64. I remember going to her house when I was 6 or 7 and seeing her game out on Turok... TUROK! Of all games! My grandma was duking it out with T-Rex's firing lasers, man! Hail to your awesome Turok64 find!

Those Super Rare games look great. I love the art style of Project Warlock. It's like a cell shaded DOOM-like game. Those shaders are a nice option too. Super Rare and Limited Run Games put out some of the most unique games and hidden gems for the Switch. Great video.

Just throwing it out there, but if you haven't played Control yet, I highly recommend it for the PS5. The graphics are pretty darn incredible, and it's overall a great story. Love your videos, man! Thanks!
I always love it when you get new PSVITA games, that handheld is amazing, I'm trying to buy more and more VITA games these days, It has become on the Go handheld even more over than the NINTENDO SWITCH.
I'm on the MiSTer boat for a while now and I've packed al the original hardware. The MiSTer does the perfect job. Also recommend the SNAC serial connection. That way you can connect the original controller directly to the core and play with zero latency in the controls. I've written a few guides on the ao486 core. It does an amazing job at the moment, but I also love the GBA core and the Sega CD core. I've connected the mister to my CRT screen and it looks fabulous! If you are into the ao486 I also recommend getting the MT-32 for real midi sounds. That way you can play the games how the creator has intended them to be. Glad MiSTer finally gets some more attention. I'm sure you will be surprised by how amazing it is and how fast the community mis growing. There is even a PlayStation core and Sega Saturn Core in development! If they manage to fit those machines on the FPGA it will be a must for every classic gamer. 🙏👍
For Outer Wilds, be sure to always lock on to your target and then sync your velocity so you can appropriately control your ship around it. Knowing how to use each thruster (analogs and trigger buttons) as necessary also should help a lot. It's my favorite adventure game ever. I didn't have problems with the ship controls, but I know a friend who had. Fortunately, he got used to it after some time. Hoping you will too!
Outerwilds is so worth it. Easily one of my favorite games ever. For flying the ship, I recommend using auto pilot often (be careful not to fly into the sun), press the match velocity button often when you're ready to land, and check the map to clarify some confusion with perspectives

Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning still retains the bugs and game breaking glitches so you have to navigate the journey accordingly and save frequently. That being said, I put 175 hours into it last year and LOVED every minute. I had only put 4 or 5 hours into it on 360 so I was eager to get the full experience. It really is awesome! Perfect solo MMORPG style game.
Have you considered using Zoom or a similar system to do your pickups with the MJR crew? It would be a nice way to continue these vids. Stay safe and stay happy 😊.

A little but helpful tip for the Turok 1 game. For all of that jumping you need to do in the game can be annoying, specially with the bottomless pits. To make those sections a LOT more manageable, put the map on and you can use the map cursor to land on the platforms much easier.

CAVE makes some of my favorite shooters too! Mushihimesama is my personal favorite and is probably the most zen IMO. I plan on making MiSTER the center of my retro setup in the future as well! FPGA definitely seems like the future of preservation. Stay safe and well!
Outer Wilds is an amazing game btw. If you want to succeed at navigating the ship controls, I would recommend using the landing camera whenever you are trying to land somewhere, then it just becomes kind of like a game of Lunar Lander - just use the up/down boosters at that point to soften your descent. If you find yourself flying past things a lot, autopilot can be your friend. You should be able to target something, like a planet, and then hit the autopilot button. Your ship will accelerate and decelerate at the proper times so you can reach the object without running into it. If you need to keep orbit with something, there is also a "match speed" button which is very helpful. Regarding autopilot, just be careful when using it because I have flown into the sun a few times because it was between me and my destination. Other than that, it just takes practice. There's actually an achievement for reaching a specific location using only your piloting skills, but I won't spoil what that is.

Hey MJR! The MiSTer is the PERFECT engine for a custom multi-arcade cabinet. It can connect and send appropriate signals to anything from an original arcade CRT via the VGA output to a modern high-refresh panel via HDMI. It runs a multitude of arcade platforms and unique boards through FPGA super accurately with zero latency. It can hook up to any sort of arcade control hardware through use of a J-PAC or I-PAC or other USB encoder. You can even install it into a pre-existing commercial arcade machine. Some people have taken Japanese candy cab arcades like the Astro City machine and put a MiSTer into them with amazing results. You can do commercial arcade conversions or build a custom machine easily. It's the absolute best device for a home arcade machine, bar a massive collection of original arcade boards and JAMMA cabinet. I think you'll have fun playing around with it and testing different cores, but it's final destiny in my opinion should be to go into your MAME machine or another separate dedicated arcade machine. You'll LOVE IT. Playing arcade-accurate replications of everything from Windjammers to Street Fighter and Donkey Kong on a real arcade machine is mind blowing. Leagues better than even a great PC running emulators with a front-end UI like LaunchBox. The default menu/navigation screens are very basic as you'd imagine, but you can configure custom wallpapers that are randomized on start-up.

Mister is superb, i use mine with a couple of fight sticks, and a 20" Dell 1600x1200 LCD, great for swivelling vertically for shooters.
You say it Ketsui "Deafany". Great pick up. Esp Ra De Psi should be your next M2/Cave pick up. Also nice work on the mister, you will never look back.

Your ship will accelerate and decelerate at the proper times so you can reach the object without running into it. If you need to keep orbit with something, there is also a "match speed" button which is very helpful. Regarding autopilot, just be careful when using it because I have flown into the sun a few times because it was between me and my destination. Other than that, it just takes practice. There's actually an achievement for reaching a specific location using only your piloting skills, but I won't spoil what that is.

Hey MJR! The MiSTer is the PERFECT engine for a custom multi-arcade cabinet. It can connect and send appropriate signals to anything from an original arcade CRT via the VGA output to a modern high-refresh panel via HDMI. It runs a multitude of arcade platforms and unique boards through FPGA super accurately with zero latency. It can hook up to any sort of arcade control hardware through use of a J-PAC or I-PAC or other USB encoder. You can even install it into a pre-existing commercial arcade machine. Some people have taken Japanese candy cab arcades like the Astro City machine and put a MiSTer into them with amazing results. You can do commercial arcade conversions or build a custom machine easily.
It's the absolute best device for a home arcade machine, bar a massive collection of original arcade boards and JAMMA cabinet. I think you'll have fun playing around with it and testing different cores, but it's final destiny in my opinion should be to go into your MAME machine or another separate dedicated arcade machine. You'll LOVE IT.
Playing arcade-accurate replications of everything from Windjammers to Street Fighter and Donkey Kong on a real arcade machine is mind blowing. Leagues better than even a great PC running emulators with a front-end UI like LaunchBox.
The default menu/navigation screens are very basic as you'd imagine, but you can configure custom wallpapers that are randomized on start-up.
