Roger is indeed the greatest tennis player of all time! He may not have achieved the highest number of grandslam titles but he had won 100+ career titles with incredible, effortless, artistic, exciting and magical performances in court. He's a dynamic and awesome player, artist and performer rolled into one. And another wonderful thing - he's a gorgeous and well-dressed gentleman. I still find #2 to be one of THE most astounding points every time I see it, and I've seen it many times. One thing I liked about Roddick was he had a sense of humour, something Agassi certainly didn't in #1, LOL.
I think Novak will end up with the most Slam titles of the 3 greats, but Roger is the one I would want to see and also would show others as THE example of the most special, elegant and entertaining tennis available.

I don't care if Nadal and Djokovic get more grand slam titles, there has never been a better tennis player than Federer. He makes it look beautiful, he's like an artist, some of the shots are just almost impossible to even conceive. Most of the time I'm not too interested in watching tennis, but I could watch Federer play all day, he just has that special something, he is a maestro and in his prime he was just unplayable. Poor Andy Roddick came up against his very own kriptonite (Federer) time and time again and I think that in any other era of tennis he would have won atleast 5-10 additional grand slam titles.

OK, let's examine facts. Federer came to prominence in a vacuum. At the end of the old guard. He won his titles when there was really nobody to beat. Once others started to reach their potential, Federer just couldn't win anymore. There were just better players than him. But don't get me wrong. Nadal and Djokovic fall prey to the same thing. That's why the old guard will always be better. The last true greats ended with Sampras. They may not have the Slam title numbers, but their competition was so incredibly stiff that every victory they had was equal to 30 of what has been won since. Gone are the grind champions. Now is the time of the pretty shots. Federer, in effect, killed tennis. And that is why he is my all-time number one overrated athlete.

Why Roger's play is exciting is because he takes risks on a regular basis and gets away with it because he alone has the talent. He plays the unexpected unorthodox shot - shots don't that don't even occur to other players, even the top ones. When he got a short ball, instead of driving it into one of the corners as Nadal or Djokovic would, he plays a very delicate drop shop that floats high in the air before falling just over the opponents side of the net. The flight of the ball was so unexpected Berdych could only stand there and wander what was going on. The between the legs shot, the drive volley, the look away dink, receiving from the service line, regularly using the drop shot - all popularised by Federer and used by young players today. .

Iam proud to be a fan of Roger. He plays incredible shots in all the matches, which can’t be found in any Tennis books or guides or manual.
His presence of mind is unexplainable and the amazing thing I noticed ,the ball listens to his racquet, which he manipulates instantly ,WOW.
He is Great, used to watch tennis from Bjorn Borg period, but it will take many years to come,to play his shots by somebody.Long live Roger

Without doubt, RF is the most talented player ever in history of tennis. Variety of shots he has is far more than combined of Nadal or Novak. He is the most beautiful player ever to play tennis. His volley , stop volley, backend, forehand shots are so please to watch. To play for 20 over yrs with high acccruacy is simply amazing. And above all, he is very humble, always easy going with his fans and reporters. I have hardly read ppl say bad things abt him. Its astonoshing to know that he has never retired half way in 1200 matches he has played. 👌🏻

Actually, Federer's play had little or nothing to do with the decision to slow the Wimbledon courts--almost all the pros at the time were in agreement that the courts were too fast for competitive, entertaining tennis.
