Wow! Finally someone speaking the truth about American bicycles. Thank You! I have had a multitude of both electric and standard bicycles. Ive owned one of your non-e bikes. I also ordered an EBC online. What a beautiful and well built E-Bike(model C). And I have learned the hard way on some cheap Chinese ebikes. Choose carefully! Currently I own two Catrike recumbents, one electric and one manual manufactured in Florida. Also, two Lectric Trikes. Since you hjave taken the time to educate me into the ever expanding ebike world, I am going to take another look at your products. Thank You!

I just got off a chat with "Blake" at Electric Bike Company who states their frames are mass produced in Communist China. He claimed their brand is the only one to assemble their e-bikes domestically in the USA. But when I countered with how Utah Trikes custom welds their frames here in the USA he could only say that they don't make trikes or quads. Their website doesn't provide the buyer with a list of components that are domestically manufactured in the USA. He claims they have plans to eventually manufacture the frames in the USA but that it would significantly raise the prices of the e-bikes they currently assemble. How hard can it be to weld a frame together using materials made here in the USA?

Good point about the difference between assembly, design and production. What I like about BCA is that it is a start, at least Americans are working doing that final assembly. BCA bikes are a reasonable price point. My hope is that more components will be made here. For me, I want to see people who live here, work here. Most importantly, the closer the product is to the consumer the less The environmental impact.

Incredibly interesting video with valuable info on US e bike manufacturing. I realize that components are sourced from all over the world and that companies like Shimano have a huge share of the bike market. I didn't think there were any USA made options out there. As I said, very good info.
