    Busses are mainly for different tracks sharing the same effects to lighten the cpu load. This is best demonstrated with at least two or three tracks. Otherwise, most all reverb units allow you to control the level of dry and wet signals.

    great instructions! But can I give you a video tip? Turn the autofocus either off or to single. af-s. AF-C keeps trying to find you when you're sitting still and therefore keeps losing you. If you're sitting mostly still then you really don't need the servo to keep looking for constant changes. Just a tip.

    Really cool and helpful short video about reverbs. Just one little question though. I understood about the benefits to send it to a Bus and playing with the send button to increase it or decrease it but what about the actual Bus volume slider where the reverb is located, does it always stays on 0db? Or do you have to/can play with it as well to get the desired effect. Thanking you in advance!

    • @CharlesCleyn
      @CharlesCleyn  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey Freddy, I recommend finding the reverb you like in the plugin (that is on the bus track) and then use the the bus signal (the green slider thing) to get the desired feel of the reverb on the track. To give you an idea, I rarely ever have it at 0db.

    Great video! I’m just curious. I still don’t understand why Put it on a bus? Aside from routing other channels to the same reverb/bus. Can’t you control the dry and wet when it’s directly on the channel anyway so it’s not over saturated as if it’s on a bus? Especially if you have the cpu power?. I’m sorry I’m still new to this thanks again!

    • @CharlesCleyn
      @CharlesCleyn  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      hey jon, of course you could have it on the channel. It's fine. As you start to produce more, you'll get into a rhythm of understanding when you should bus vs not. I often put it on the channel if I want to really design a specific reverb but often times I'm bus'ing a reverb just to give it some space and I would re-use that bus on other tracks too.

    I have a quick question about some of these tools... I know that you can use Buses to add reverb to different tracks, but is there a way to remove reverb? Sometimes when I sample something, there's a little bit of reverb in the notes (despite no buses being present).

    Hi, Charles: Great videos you have. Thank you so much for this one on using reverb AND I really like your music. I have a question. I'm doing SFX on an audio drama and I'm trying to figure out how I can use a BUS on a region (Section Based Processing). Since my characters move from inside to out, and room to room to garage, I would like to be able to easily move them from room to room and have the reverb reflect that, but there doesn't seem to be a way to apply a BUS in the Section Based Processing feature (and I can't find anything or any tutorials out there on how to do it...but there HAS to be a way). Do you know? Can you help?

    oh yes, reverb in a cave, that's the sound I hear when interviewers call, and they think they so crystal clear, and then tell you given 1 billion stars, and 1 billion velocities, and then now condition X, Y, Z, now how do you catch the most stars given N seconds, and then is your solution optimal, etc, etc, and why they spent 2 years to research it and now you can't solve it in 25 minutes and give the most optimal answer. Better yet, with the cave reverb, consistently typing on his keyboard, bang bang bang, while you think about how to solve the problem over the phone, bang bang bang. Why? Because he can.
