I don't work out like Patty does. It's been a year and a half of watching for me, and I have slowly been ramping up to barbell training. I’ll be 58 in June and my right shoulder have bothered me off and on for over 30 years. One physical therapist thought I had a detached infraspinatus. It probably was from too many BMX bike crashes as a kid. I’ve found what works best is working the rear delts and stretching the internal rotators

5:50 the knurling on the bar you deadlifted for this video looks pretty worn down. i used to deadlift often and bars with knurling so worn down that it was dark, were always much slippier to hold. i suggest looking for bright shiny metallic fresh knurling, it makes a huge difference with lifts where the grip is so tantamount to success
