His genuine level of sadness makes me want to cry
_Shane_Anigans_ same I wanted to die thinking about his worries or his stress

Feels bad... he looked so sad 😢
The sound makes me die 😣
me too
I was thinking at first.
"Oh he dropped it. Its probably just a dent in the bell or a jammed mouthpiece. Not a huge deal."
Watches the rest of the video.
"Oh dear Jesus save that trombone's soul."
Donnie Montoya as a trombonist, I died a little on the inside seeing this. I screamed. "No NO!" cause as i was watching I knew what was gonna happen 🤣
i cried cuz im a trombone player
I personally have a jupiter trombone because of this exact reason. This is why I wont get an instrument like a yamaha

My man went through all 7 stages of grief in the span of 2 seconds
Weren't there only 5?
@@JonathanTheTrombonistIk I am 7 months late but, that is the joke. He was so sad he added 2 stages if grief and went through them all in 2 seconds.
@@DomaUpperRank2-02 oh, I get it now. I bet the new two stages are "money waste realisation" and "no more big trombeun".
Nah, he found the 8th too.
Dang, the sound of brass hitting the ground is any musicians worst nightmare, and this video didn't help..

Bruh I'm in band class and I hear a loud ding in the tuba section and see a dented mouthpiece and I was just like BRUH
Btw I'm trombone
YES. Especially for trombone players like me
Or hitting the back of my skull
Ikr. One time I got a heart attack when my plastic Trombone fell and then made a huge sigh of relief remembering it's plastic thank god!
Also reminds me of the story of my friends in band saying when someone had a nasty fall, they wouldn't ask the person that fell if they were alright, the first thing they ask is if the instrument is alright.
I had no idea that those trombones were so fragile. Yikes !!!
The Chinesium certainly makes the horn weaker.
MegaBojan1993 Can't he fix it?
Sad trombone music
It depends on the instrument my old king trombone has been dropped many times, just have to occasionally get the dings out of the slide.
MegaBojan1993 Yeah brass is very fragile and if it’s a cheaply made instrument it might be even weaker than brass.
I'm my moms most expensive mistake
Same m8
Christopher Grace jokes on you I was a discount birth
You mean she dropped you too?
jk lol.
Christopher Grace *dads
Lucky...
Don't kick yourself too hard for this. I've heard stories of brand new multi-thousand dollar instruments being wrecked within weeks...
To be fair, "multi-thousand dollar instruments" isn't THAT much of a statement, a good quality sousaphone easily reaches $25,000. But other instruments, well, it fits better.
LMAO
Multi-thousands gets you an okay flute.
@@sarcasmismyfavoriteemotion4180 Where are these $25K sousas?! I’ve never heard them go more than $15K.
I mean, this _is_ a multi-thousand dollar instrument. A contrabone goes for about 10k on average
While the Contra did suffer some obvious damage, it wasn't too extreme by the looks of it. The solder joint between the rotor port and the slide tenon failed, and the main bell brace bent and tore. Honestly though, the damage could be worse. You could've torn the rotor port, bent/crinkled the bell, squashed the FF- attachment, bent the slide tubes into an odd angle, or worst of all... dented the rotor casing.
That being said, I do greatly wish that a local repair shop will have the ability to repair or replace the main brace and solder the tenon back to the rotor port. Condolences to you, your instrument family, and especially the critically injured Contra.
Let's start a gofundme page

@@Baritone782 it's been over three years man 😂 but i like the effort
*Sad trombone sound effect*
this comment is 3 years old and underrated
And what will they play it on now?
I'm a saxophonist and my heart broke to see such an unfortunate incident. Rest in peace, contrabass trombone.
Oh god... As a trombonist, that is heartbreaking.
Fanamatakecick as a trumpet player this is heart breaking
Same here, I've seen clumsy people dent their horns, but I've never heard a noise that jarring before, soul crushing
As a trombone player this is scary then any horror movie
Fr
As a trumpist, I can agree that Trombones are built very fragile.
I thought "maybe its ok."
keeps watching
*NOPE*
The sound it made was so shattering...it makes me cringe so hard
I'm a trombone player so this hurts me
TheDiamondZombie same
me to. rip contrabass trombone. you will be missed
This should hurt any brass player. I'm a trumpet player and my heart skipped a beat
I don't even play a wind instrument. I play bass and this hurts me.
Me too.
Im an electric bass player, and I'm sorry for your loss
I'm*
I'm an electric bass player and no one cares that I play.
At least it was a 'cheap' chinese made instrument.
I'm sorry for my loss. I'm a bassist too and I can't figure out how to get good.
Pause the video at 0:10 and play the bass riff to roundabout
The balls this man has for posting this, i feel your pain sir.
I got this guys *plays taps*
good one, champ.
on a baritone
That was the first thing I did when this video came out
Wtf is taps
Trent,
These things happen. I'm happy to see you are human just like all of your viewers.
Chalk it up as a work accident. When I was in college I was packing up my Pontiac La mans to go back to college. I thought I had everything inside the vehicle. while backing out of the garage I heard a crunch. I got out of the car and found I had just ran over my Bach Stradivarius in case . OHG I never heard the end of it. I ended up buying a inexpensive Selmer trumpet to get me through my freshman year. I'm sure you will fix the problem big guy. It happens to all of us.
Good Luck
Sincerely
Victor Batres Aparicio
Really sorry that happened to you. I hope it can be repaired.
It's okay, I fail at TH-cam lots recently
Yeah you do. Your most recent vid was a true failure.
15 likes and 0 dislikes on your most recent video, your channel is not bad!
I was once at a woodwind quintet concert where the horn player wearing high heels tripped while leaving the stage for the intermission. There was a sickening clattering noise from the wings. It was enough to make you puke. But brass instruments can be soldered back together, and dents can be ironed out. Sadly, repairing that horn was not going to make her a better player.
For some reason I feel like it was my fault... I'm so sorry about that.
*sad violin plays. or more like sad contrabass trombone*
I once sat down on my french horn (it was laying on a bed)... The repair was 1200€
Llonk Nomis Damn
Holy shit that's like $1,300 USD
Simon Knoll
Was it worth it? I mean was it a good french horn? ;)
Probably didn’t sound much different
One time literally not even 5 minutes before a concert we were standing up doing breathing stuff and then a girl sat on her flute and completely bent it like it was basically at a 100° angle it was bad
That's why the plastic contrabass trombone should be invented.
ok this a great idea
It might sound better than his chinese one.
It wouldent sound right and possibly ,crack and pretty shur they already make those
A plastic one? REALLY!!!!!! The plastic ones are great for young kids just learning the rudimentary basics and that's it. There's no way that you're going to get any real sense of intonation.
Plastic instruments are horrible
I want to cry. I’m sorry for the loss of that amazing trombone .
best patreon ad ever.
7 years later and I’m still sorry
NOOOOO THE TROMBONE
After watching Trent for a while and knowing his sarcastic and witty remarks and expecting that but instead getting his pure sadness his just heartbreaking
I would have dropped both XD
Me too.
Same Jajajaja
I had to go back to watch this after seeing your new youtube shorts, good to see you again!
It looks repairable. it broke at the solder and the only bent pieces that we can see is the rod that connects the bell to the coupling and the trigger for the rotary valve. I hope that is all that happened and that is can be fixed.
I still feel awful to have witnessed such a horrendous action. It truly pains my heart.
As a trombone player, this was very hard to watch.
Gets me every time. RIP, Contrabass Trombone!😭
That was painful to watch I am so sorry
At least you didn't drop the trombone AND the euphonium.
It's a tuba
could be a bass euphonium
finally someone calls it a euphonium
Those trombones go for around 10,000 US dollars. Now thats sucks.
The amount of sadness I felt watching this is unreal
When he dropped the trombone he committed trombone abuse
it feels like i broke my arm or somethin my heart
This video perfectly displays the feeling everyone gets right after dropping something fragile.
Me watching the video
Mhmhm contrbass trbOOOONE
:0
Omg. OOOOOO MYYY GAAWWD. OUCH.
*shows broken instrument*
:0 AAAHHH!
omg omg. *takes a breath*
I am so sorry
rip I'm sorry for your loss Trent
Could've been worse tho you could've drop the trombone and the tuba
Never would have thought you would drop the Trombone. Embarrassing thing for me was when I was at band rehearsal with my Eb Bass Tuba, I rested it on the edge of the chair and it slipped and the bell bumped me on the head. But the bass it's self was not damaged :) I always have sweaty hands so sometimes dropping my Bass is easy even though I haven't physically done it.
Only true muscicians understand the pain.
My heart just sunk into my stomach when I watched this video. In 1977, I knocked over the school (Armstrong) piccolo that I was playing in band and the body cracked to the point where it could not be repaired. My parents had to replace the piccolo of equal quality. The replacement piccolo was a wooden Gemeinhardt 4W and my father told me that if something happened to this piccolo, something would happen to me. I had a horrible feeling about what happened at that time and what happened in the video brought back that feeling.
@The instrument master 255,200 The body had cracked in 3 places, so I killed the piccolo.
@The instrument master 255,200 Flutes have a thin wall, but piccolos tend to have a thicker wall. The head joint is mostly thinner which causes the sound to be bright or dark..
I felt the same way when I dropped a school owned King Euphonium.
did it break?
Rip
my dad thinks that this is fake and he thinks that the trombone was pulled out of his hand
That implies I'm popular enough to have friends that would have helped me.
I think i know which one won haha
Nick Rielsen - The floor! 😢😱
😱😭 I know this is in the past and the contra is back, but it still hurts. So sorry, Trent, but glad it was repairable.
Poor Contrabass Trombone. 😯😔 At least the tuba lives. 😜
THANK YOU, tuba is the contrabasses older brother, i dropped my fiberglass sousaphone, now its in a box in the basement, *several thousand parts shattered, let all contrabasses, the contrabassoons, the bass trombones, contrabass saxophones visit
i think it was a euphonium that lived
@@fuitbythefoot ah yes I like my euphoniums in BBb
Trombone: Peace I’m out
Trent: Wai-
sorry to say this but your reaction was priceless
I really know how you could feel at this moment. Long time ago I also heavily damaged my trumpet by mistake. Terrible feeling.
I like your reviews so much BTW!
This physically pains me
shall that trombone rest in peace
I hope in the comparison that you came to the conclusion that the tuba was better than the trombone.
Bloodrage Engage Sadly it was vice versa
I watched only one video where somone sneezed into his trombone in the middle of the concert, then i clicked on the next video about a boy and his father building a tactical trombone with pressure air. Now my full recommendation feed is full of trombone and trumpet videos and i don't even play this instrument. I play the guitar
At first when the trombone hit the ground I was like: “Okay it may have a few dents and scratches after that. The damage shouldn’t be too terrible.”
But when he showed the damage my jaw just dropped in cringe.
This is the trombonist equivalent of "Arms aren't supposed to bend that way..."
TRENT TWOSET REACTED TO THISSSS
Thanks for letting me know :)
Yeah. I came here from that
I’m so sorry for your loss
This made it to fail army. No joke
That makes me cry. Seeing a specimen such as the trombone broken. Heartbreaking.

I had a kneejerk "NO!" leap out of me when i saw that. And I don't know even know a damn thing about trombones. Damn shame, but murphys law knows no limit.
*contrabass trombone has left the chat*
Trent, the look on your face is priceless. I can almost read your thoughts.
Well, that was short and to the point--a quality not often seen in TH-cam videos. Ouch!
When he dropped the trombone, I thought ouch probably just a dent in the bell or something though. And I feel terrible now. To see such a beautiful instrument break that badly.
Oh man that hurt my soul in a spot I didn't know could be hurt...
As the most famous trombone sound once said: WA WA WA
I felt that in my core. Absolute tragedy
It's been almost four years now, Trent, and I hope the pain and sadness are long gone. Now it is time to watch very carefully, over and over, the precise moment when you loose grip of the instrument. And see that there is some microscopic degree of intentionality in it. This is what Freud called "the regulation of accident". Think about why would you, subconciously, want that trombone to break?
I'm sorry for your loss
I'm sorry dude, hope you got it fixed or got a new one, I'm a beggining trombone player (3 years of playing at the time of commenting) so I feel for you.
Playing this on a slower speed makes this 100x more tragic
Who’s surprised that Trent didn’t have something hilariously sarcastic and witty to say after the negligent trombone slaughter incident?
His face made me tear up a bit😢
my geart dropped when that happened
Oh my I thought it might have been a small dent
I'm sorry about that 😢
I’m definitely that person who just stares at my instrument when (IF IT EVER) drops
*RIP contrabass trombone. You will be missed.*
My heart is well and truly broken, RIP contrabass trombone, you will be sorely missed
NEVER... hold two large instruments at the same time
Trent: Contrabass TrombOoOoOnn...Trombone: CRASH!!!!!!Trent: you interrupted me.
I feel so bad sorry man
Sorry for that
still so painful to go back and watch this! the sound of the poor thing tumbling to the floor! 😔😪
I had a brand new 1st owner Yamaha 321S andI bumped it on my music stand. Not terrible but I felt like I had scratched the band new family car. This was the 2nd brand new horn in my life I was not a happy camper. Hang in there Trent !
I kid you not Trent, I was a pub and this clip came up on the TV. Cheers!
Aww, I feel bad😢 I hope it can be fixed
