29:20 I truely wasn't expecting a "House of Falling Leaves" reference. I always love the small references the sims team does Edited to add: The House of Falling Leaves is a poem by William Stanley Braithwaite, it's about death and grief
@lilsimsie if your reaper was a Murphy-bed ghost, she could've been able to sap energy from another sim and siphon that energy as her own and that way she won't have to sleep in a stranger's bed while she's working😉. I always wished that I'd be able to properly utilize the floral arranging skill with a career and I am glad to now know that I can do that with the funeral director career.🥰
I just got so excited about the House of Fallen Trees pop-up 😭For those who don't know, it's an actual lot from the Downtown sub-hood in The Sims 2 Nightlife EP. It's basically a haunted house with special lighting and home of the late Tricou family, who were speculated to have been vampires while they were alive. It's so fun to see so many references and nods to the earlier games, my little Sims 2 heart is so happy 😭😭
Am I the only one who thinks it's weird that any sim can just go "oh, I'll start working for the fricking grim reaper" It's ok that The Sims 4 allows you to start at any career without conditions, but it's different with these special ones Idk, I wish there was something else to be done in order for a sim to unlock that option, you know, similar to the license to work as a paranormal investigator
That could definitely be a way!!! I also imagined some crazier shaningans like... What do you think about this... Maybe the sim isn't friends with grim (yet) but the sim has seen someone dying (and saw grim, that would be a basic requirement, befriending grim would increase this, seeing grim would give that sim a hidden trait and befriending him would substitute the first hidden trait to a second, that is more powerful, similar to how there is the happy toddler and the top notch toddler traits) then, once a sim has that trait, they would unlock some sort of "reputation" for the macabre (this would work like a hidden skill, the player wouldn't know about it, but in each level the sim would show some behaviors that would allow the player to have some idea of which level the sim is)... Anyway, that hidden skill would be increased if sims did things related to death, like making offerings, joining in death related festivals, going to funerals... this should be opened up for cross pack compatibility, so, maybe celebrating holidays with spooky traditions could increase their hidden skill... The macabre trait, besides what it already does, could make sims gain that hidden skill even quicker... Anyways... Then, once they reach the maximum level of that hidden skill, they'd recieve a recommendation letter from Grim himself asking if they wanna join the career... @@pedroguedes7437 this is really detailed and a lot to do just to be able to do this career. I once had my Sim build all the skills and he also acquired the flower arranging skill from the bonsai when I only had the base game. I then looked through the whole buy mode catalog for the flower arranging station only to find out that that item comes with seasons as you mentioned. So, you can get the flower arranging skill with only base game, but you can't actually use it and arrange flowers without seasons 😂

For the first time in years I will buy a Sims 4 expansion pack before it goes on sale... I am so excited for this one!
the house you built is gorgeous oh my!
It's Canon now. Stanley chooses his form. 😂😂😂
I like to have my Sims watch cooking while running the tread mill... they gain cooking and fitness at the same time.
This was so helpful! I was waiting for the ghost to pop out before expelling it. But not my baby daddy, Don!😅
The Stan-ley cinematic universe
Have to say from what I've experienced that this pack has replayability. Bucket lists have great uses. The undertaker career isn't extreme so I could see making some eccentric funeral director again. Traits are fun. Only aspect I see harder to replay is reaper career but could be a good vampire career.
Do we think we are getting an update in the University pack? To study and get a grade for the new careers in this pack? 😏
that’s crazy i just downloaded this house and your video popped up 🤣❤️
it's really silly but the mention of the house of fallen trees made me so happy as someone who played sims 2 a lot as a kid
It makes sense to make real sims for this video, Stanley would've been too funny as a hot dog reaper
I'm gonna put this video in my watch later so I can experience the career completely fresh when I get the pack but I wanted to leave a comment anyway to say hello 👋
This pack looks so fun!
