    We are full time liveaboard cruisers on a 1984 42-ft Pearson. We have traveled up and down the East Coast of the United States and crossed the Gulf Stream to Bahamas in February, 2022. We are currently in Crooked Islands doing some sail repair and heading to Mayaguana in the next few days.

    Jamal is the man! I had no dinghy while I was there a few months ago (I managed to buy one from a fellow cruiser in Mayaguana) and he brought me water and gas for my generator, as well as shuttle me to town for supplies when needed.
    Great video! Subscribed!

    Are those TOMATOES growing on your boat???? New subscriber and hopeful soon to be boater.

    • @AmyandChrisSailingRumTot
      @AmyandChrisSailingRumTot  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      They are Tomatoes! We have only gotten maybe 5-6 tomatoes so far though. The hard part seems to be getting the flowers pollinated while being on the go. We are happy when a bee comes to visit :)

    Going in 2 weeks. What's their preferred currency at markets? Credit card use? Thanks

    • @AmyandChrisSailingRumTot
      @AmyandChrisSailingRumTot  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Credit cards seemed to be taken all over Georgetown. Never had an issue there at all. There is a small farmers market by the Shop Rite, they may be cash only though. US$ and Bahamas$ are interchangeable in Georgetown, and we found that throughout Bahamas too . We often get change in both currencies and pay with both. If you're planning to visit some of the out-islands as well, save your cash for those areas as the CC acceptance is less. We were at Crooked Island last week and couldn't pay for dinner until we could get cash the next day from the grocery store :) Have a great time in Georgetown!!

      I'm not sure, honestly. I've never tried to do that. There is a great Facebook group for the Georgetown visitors, if you want to try to ask there. I can say they have a ton of seating all around already. Have a great visit!

    Another question... What is the local mask policy? Enforced? I'm coming from Miami so I have not worn a mask for a long time. Thank you again

    • @AmyandChrisSailingRumTot
      @AmyandChrisSailingRumTot  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Sorry for the delay responding, we have been on passage without internet for a bit! They definitely are still enforcing masks in addition to sanitizing stations when you walk in. That is for Georgetown but the out islands are not so much caring about it.

      @@AmyandChrisSailingRumTot Thanks. Just got back. Stayed in Tar Bay area. Went diving in Angelfish Blue hole and checked out some beaches on an excursion boat tour. Very nice.
