    Take lots of photos and drone shots/movies you guys. Store on archival media of some sort. You never know what life will bring or how long this phase of your life will last👍 🙂 📷 🎞 🎥

    That place looks different than when I was there in 1995. I was on the island and replaced and programmed every telecom system on the island, in 76 out of 84 hours. Fell asleep on the flight back to Miami. So different now!

      I used to ride a Hodaka; I might have been Thirty, then. That was after a Yamaha DT 250 and a Honda 350 thumper, in that order.

    Glad to see your adventures continue in the Southern Exuma's chain.
    I was just commenting to my friends the O'Kelly's on their channel. You must have just past by them. Prime Cay I think?
    George Town is well known among the cruisers when heading south/east or north/west for provisions, repairs, sundowners on the stern.
    Can be a crowded anchorage, can be expensive for everything at times, but things are not normal during these COVID times.
    Soak it all in while you're there. It is why you left the cold of Canada in the first place. -2 degrees or 82 degrees I know which one I'm picking.
    I see in your future a trip to the Turks & Caicos islands, a trip down to the DR & PR. Off the U.S. & British VR islands perhaps.
    Stay safe enjoy your journey. Fair Winds & following seas plus some rum coolers too.
    LAC

    Sand dunes do not harden into limestone. Limestone is organisms (think shells) that have fallen to the bottom of a shallow sea, accumulated layers and been buried/compressed enough to form limestone (simple explanation). You can find signs/remnants of the organisms in the stone oftentimes. Sand, when buried and compressed, usually turns into--- sand stone!
    Not trying to pick at you or anything, but I enjoy learning about what I am looking at and maybe gaining a better understanding of the world around me. I am just trying to share a little. Great video and safe travels.

      Interesting! What I had mentioned in the video was what I had read from the Bahamas tourism website about Stocking Island 🤷🏼‍♀️. Thanks for sharing that detailed knowledge!

    Do you know if it’s is hard to get dogs in to the islands?

    • @SailingJibsea
      @SailingJibsea  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      We’re not sure but we have come across a bunch of dogs on cruiser boats so I don’t think it’s as difficult as some other countries may be!

      Check out Seabatical on TH-cam.
      They just brought 2 dogs over last week.
      It seemed easy once they got veterinarian certificates in Miami.

    Travis. A wise man once told me how he became wise... the secret is, not to do anything stupid. I guess, watching you climb over that cliff, you haven't been talking to any wise men lately....😶

    • @tonespeaks
      @tonespeaks 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @Eric Hyney I must totally disagree, there is nothing stupid about exploring a cliff, I have climb many have wonderful experiences to share. Of course it is dangerous, but with some foresight, those dangers can be mitigated. There is nothing like exploring the secrets of the Earth. These are all challenges, there is nothing wrong with challenging a challenge, just think before you leap.
