I disagree about the healer role being worse,I would argue it's the best
It brings a ton of utility in parties where there isn't a defender present (like fmj with crit recharge, or lucky seven and glittering melody extending the invencibility buff) thanks to accessories that speed art recharge on that condition, combining it with the skill that speeds up art recharge even more when on land/ in water, it recharges almost every second
Adding on to that, the utility in chain attacks increases due to not getting past 100% and still doing crazy amounts of damage thanks to it's high damage arts, which using Melia or ashera's chain orden, can lead to amazing ratings in all rounds
Defenders in this game got the shortest end of the stick tbh

My whole point was moreso that it's (healer form) the worst because other classes just do what you would want from it... but better. Like, if you want crazy damage (and more damage), attacker form is perfect. Many people have even said that it is the strongest attacker for pure damage alone (not entirely sure if that's true but I could see that being possible). Then as a healer, there just aren't a lot of great skills or arts for soulhacker. Plus, the class has barely any buff arts.
Also, couldn't any form of soulhacker use that skill for when there are no defenders, not just healer?
But yeah, defenders are definitely the weakest role in this game overall. I guess they just couldn't come up with any interesting ideas besides just physical and evasion tanks? I think a hybrid healing/tanking class that heals others by blocking/evading and gains crazy aggro through buffing/debuffing could have been pretty cool!
