that emerald city set is great if you replace the minidolls with the dorothy and other wizard of oz characters from the lego movie 2 minifigure series!
Lego designs have been shockingly dropping the balls in the past 2 years and their prices are going insane - most people don't get 30% pay rise from the past 3 years ffs Lego aha. And then ya the Batmobile's looks and price point are spot on - something is going on within Lego lol
@@studebricker2845 We are talking about Lego not groceries. Lego increased prices in 2022 but not by 30%. Sets have more pieces compared to the 2000s and the per piece price is about the same - Star Wars specifically have come down a little since the beginning (per piece). The median set price is still less than it was around 2005. The most expensive sets are the highest ever but they also have the most pieces and complexity ever.
@@gospelofrye6881 Why are you responding to me then? Tell the OP that prices are great LOL But I mentioned groceries because everything has gone up in the past few years. Do you not remember when dozens of Lego sets increased $50 overnight? That is what I was talking about.
RE: Jabba's Barge: What a lot of people don't understand about the pricing of Star Wars stuff - and this goes for all Star Wars merch, not just LEGO - it's not just Disney that's getting a cut, but whenever IP from anything pre-Disney is licensed, then Lucas still gets a cut too. So, anything like this, which is pre-Disney IP, the price then includes paying Disney and Lucas.
IP or not - Lego’s profit margins are insane and often times they’re maximizing them as much as they can with Star Wars sets just because people will buy it anyways (sadly me included, after heavy discounts)
Literally everyone understands this and Jabba’s barge is still wildly overpriced even compared to other Star Wars sets, including UCS sets at this range.
You get 9 minifigs with the battle bus for 100 bucks but only 11 with Jabba's Barge for $500!? Which is nothing since I'd be shelling out $650 CAD for it... even with Luke's light saber as a GWP that is beyond steep.
I really like the pumpkin with the ghost and lightbrick also I find the Shadow head not really good but definetely not awfull and I would like to see a Sonic and especially knuckles version of it
Batmobile looks oddly big for me - not to scale of the other cars like the delorean so if you have a shelf full of them it’ll stick out. Mario is tempting but hopefully not exclusive and I’ll bite at a nice 25% off before christmas.
I was kinda of excited about the barge until seeing that price. Now i dont feel bad about recently buying the previous on. Ill wait for a sale or clearance to purchase
I think as far as the Wednesday set goes, I think there was definitely a target audience with all the Wednesday craze. And you might not have fit that target. Not that I think you shouldn’t be, just thinking like a business
The Shadow head-on-a-stick gets my vote for one of the year's worst sets. I like some aspects of the Wednesday dorm set, but definitely not worth the price imo; maybe I'll buy it once it gets a nice discount. Maybe. All the other sets of october just aren't for me.
I'm really looking forward to getting the Wednesday sets! The show is really good, and Lego did a great job capturing the likeness of Wednesday and Enid, and the scenes are perfect. Also, I actually like the buildable doll set. I think both versions are cute.
Even though they are rather weird looking, I like the larger Wednesday and Wicked doll figures. They remind me of the musicians from the Jazz Quartet. It would be really nice if these new dolls could be played with like a regular, say Barbie, doll. That would be something special.
I'm really only looking forward to the Mickey set. I know you were not a fan, but the exclusive mini-figures sold me. I would have liked a mouth for Mickey, but the rest of the display I do think looks great. Then the other one I want is the Santa's Post Office. That's a must get as I have a whole Santa's village that I put up on our mantle every year, and love adding to it.
Yeah I want to like the mickey I just can’t - but it may be those pictures. I’ll still get it for the figures and maybe the build in person will be better

@@StarJoes What is political? I'm just observant. He described an obvious Christmas themed set, yet doesn't say the word Christmas. Do you not find that odd? As well, if he didn't call a set with skeletons, ghosts and goblins a Halloween set, I would be just as curious as to the reason.
Yeah minidolls aren’t for me but they do look like decent ones. It’s just the interior on that set doesn’t look as finished as it should for the price. Definitely has its upsides though
Could have done a Wednesday set with minifigs too, testing the waters which is more appealing to fans. It's funny how with some themes, like Dreamzzz, and Harry Potter, they make sets that appeal to both boys and girls but then all of a sudden they decide: "No, this is just for girls!" and we get mini dolls. PLEASE start every episode with "im not a guy you can toss a coin to, but im a tosser you can give a like to" is SUCH a cool intro
Haha glad you liked it
Mona Lisa looks like Jimmy Carr in a wig...
LOL
Ugh…I can’t unsee that now! Heh heh heh
Yes but what do you think about the Lego set?
Lol, the "Magic of Disney" set got diversified in the meantime
Shadow the hedgehog looks like hes telling lies & his nose is growing 😂😂😂
lol yeah good point
that emerald city set is great if you replace the minidolls with the dorothy and other wizard of oz characters from the lego movie 2 minifigure series!
I actually like the Mona Lisa set. It’s not accurate to the real one but I think that’s fine.
Fighting with my heart and my head over that sail barge….gutted…was excited.
It’s sad isn’t it when you look forward to something and then you feel like you’re being robbed. I want it but really struggle to justify that price
Buying this will justify lego making another big price rise next year.

The pictures of people looking at the mario set from the backside 🤣🤣🤣

My entire plan just changed for that “Reading Reading Reading” fgwp! Love it!

Good summary. Never played Fortnite but those sets look cool, especially the bus
Thanks. Definitely, they look to have been done really well
Mona Lisa of course.

Can’t wait for the Batmobile and I do also like the new winter village set. But I’m fed up with anything aimed at girls coming with mini dolls
Girls like them apparently?
I can't figure out who the Wednesday and Wicked sets are for. They're all too juvenile for teens and adults, but the subject matter is teen+.
Saw Wicked on Broadway and highly recommend. I saw it in New York though.
I just think they’ve got it wrong. didn’t need to be as narrow target audience. There’s some really nice elements to them so I do think it’s a shame
I’m with you on the Wednesday sets. Very odd.
Thanks for another great video. Loving the Fortnite sets buying them day 1
I wish Lego would do horror sets. Id love to build a xenomorph or predator. Would be so cool
Well they already do Brickheadzzz and Harry Potter...

Finally, Mona Lisa!!!
🤣🤣 smiling at it from behind

Did you cover the 5 sets from the Bricklink Designer Program's Series Series 3 Oct 8th?
The free light sabre after purchasing the expensive barge feels like an insult.

I don't know what it is but the shadow the hedgehog head has really grew on me. I hated it at first too
