Wished I could have watched it live with you guys. But yeah it was a great line up and I am sorry that Dixie was not included in Mario Karts next wave. After how you explained it, it is a bummer. Other than that this was pretty fun.
Definitely an awesome line up! My wallet is going to hate me. Makes me happy to see Funky finally return! But seriously, out of everyone, especially Dixie, they thought Peachette was a good idea? Real shame. Other than that this was pretty solid.
Honestly, I think it was a scummy move on using Peachette instead of Dixie on whoever thought it was a good idea. I mean Dixie is one of the main apes of the Donkey Kong franchise and deserves more recognition after all.
2:27 Well I'm lucky to be on the east coast. That said, I missed this Direct live, so I had to catch the VOD a little bit later that day. This was a good Direct overall. I'm excited to play the Tomb Raider Remastered Trilogy (it's coming to all the platforms, BTW). Classic Lara and LAU Lara are the best Tomb Raider games. I'm hoping Aspyr Media remasters the Legacy Of Kain series after that. I had mixed feelings about F-Zero 99 at first, mainly because it's nothing like GX on the GameCube or even X on the N64, but it's starting to grow on me. Like it's making me seriously consider getting the basic subscription to NSO. The new Contra looks dope and I can't wait to play it! A Contra 4 remaster would be awesome, but I also want a remaster of Shattered Soldier and NeoContra. I'm glad that we're seeing more GameCube remasters, especially with Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door. Although for some reason, it looks like it's running at 30fps - the GameCube original ran at 60fps.
Listening to the reaction again. I don't think I explained Pauline right. Instead of calling her historical, I should have specifically said she was the first female character in the Mario franchise and this is likely why Nintendo has wanted to do more with her. While she still hasn't done more than Dixie, this is still an understandable reason why she's been in more games since Odyssey.
I really like what I’m seeing in Princess Peach Showtime. I especially like all the fantastic fan art that resulted from the debut of her new outfits.

HOODZ: I wouldn't say scummy, but definitely neglectful and thoughtless.

HOODZ: Considering the new Contra is being developed by WayFoward, I'm more excited for it than ever!
Dixie Kong not being in the game isn't satisfying. Same with her younger sister, Tiny Kong.
HOODZ: I can excuse Tiny King as she was more of a one-shot and she was similar to Dixie in appearance. Dixie came first and I feel did a lot more.
@@HoodedChaosProductions Fair enough.
