My problem with most tech reviews is the sole comparison between the latest model and previous ones or competitors, and for people who didn't buy the previous one, it will be mostly useless. I want reviews for first time users
They do, but it does come with the folding screen protector instead of the keyboard (Smart Book Cover). I love it for traveling in a bag but I take the screen cover portion off when using the table, so easy since it is magnetic.
Does the Samsung Book Cover Keyboard leave scratches on the screens over time like some laptops get? I use the Samsung smart book cover with my s10+ and a Logitech MX Keys mini, sometimes I think it would be nice to try the Book Cover Keyboard. I find that when I need to do a "longer" email than I want to do on my phone, the tablet is nice to use WHEN I have the Logi keyboard with me. Otherwise I just use my phone. I tend to not bring my laptop with me when doing errands because it is more expensive and delicate than the tablet.
Just got my Tab S10U and came across your video. I like the flexibility of the book cover keyboard with trackpad but my main concern is if the trackpad is going to interfere with typing, i.e. if the wrist is touching the touchpad while typing, causing typo or mouse curser moving around randomly?
We have kind of strange situation with those keyboards. Slim in the keyboard to go because of weight and surface area required ( yes no stand ) but... the most idiotic thing that those keyboards is not usable for works and especially while video calls. Angle is not correct on both of them ( I have them both ) and you have no option on any app to choose wide angle camera ( auto staging is not a thing, it crops face too much). They have to fix that immediately
I appreciate you doing this review. I was going back and fourth between purchasing this or the ipad and i think for the value Samsung is better in my opinion. You did a great job breaking down the various keyboard accessories that comes with this tablet 👍🏿
ngl if i was to rebuy my uni laptop id probably consider this as an option. I get the benefit of a tablet along with basically a desktop like experience with dex
Thanks a lot for the input. I have a galaxy book 360 and want to use the s10 ultra for meetings and travel, more often than not without keyboard (only if sharing an Excel and travelling, but I can also use my laptop then). I had the slim keyboard in the basket but not being able to take it off is a 'no go' to me...and I can't go anywhere without protection. The overpriced ultra keyboard is also not what I am looking for, so it is going to be a S10 ultra book case and laptop for the time being.
I just bought the S10 plus and love it but found I want mostly to use it in portrait mode.to read docs in pdf and such. It has the slim keyboard which is frustrating when I a holding tbe tab in portrait mode. So what to do? What cover to buy? Any ideas?
Can you please inform whether white color of case has degraded pver time or not Should i go for black if white case will go a little dark after some time
I have a similar case for the tab S10 plus. The white will get a little dirtier, smudges, things like that will show. And you'll have to clean it a little more often. The black case tends to show more fingerprints. It really is a pick your poison situation as far as fingerprints or smudges slash minor dirt showing.
i want to understand properly i want to get the s10+ cuz its got 5g and i want to get the touchpad version of the cover is it backlit or is that just for the ultra version, thx so much
The slim are the most desirable to me. Since I don't feel touchpad is all that useful with a tablet. I would rather have less weight and size than a touchpad that's likely to be under-used.
I am from India and have the Tab S10 Ultra Bookcover keyboard ordered on Samsung India website. I just came to know that the keymapping of SHIFT+2 gives " symbol instead of @. Similarly SHIFT+3 gives £ instead of #. Then i checked all the demo models available in Samsung store. I CAME TO REALISE THAT IT IS THE PROBLEM WITH ALL BOOKCOVER KEYBOARD. Last generation S9 Ultra Bookcover keyboard also has the same problem when i checked in their Samsung offline store...... IS SAMSUNG NOT AWARE OF THIS FAULT LAST YEAR !!!!! PLS DO CONFIRM IF ANYONE FROM OTHER COUNTRIES ALSO HAS THE SAME WRONG KEY MAPPING PROBLEM..
Check your keyboard to see which one you're using. I'm in the USA, and I'm using the Samsung Keyboard, and the characters type out correctly with both the Tab S9 Ultra Full Keyboard Cover and the Tab S10 Keyboard Cover Slim.
@@fookchinng Do you mean changing the language of the TAB language settings from English UK to English US ? If no, how to change the language of the keyboard?
Honestly it's very tough to say. Generally speaking, no it won't scratch your screen. But I will say if you get a bunch of dust on your screen and if you move your keyboard back and forth on the screen, it's possible. But it does magnetize so it's not going to be moving around most of the time whenever you are walking around. So generally speaking, I wouldn't be worried about it. But I would also be careful not to leave a bunch of dust or dirt on your screen
It connects to the tablet via pogo pins. Though, while its connected you CAN connect it to other devices via bluetooth. So theoretically you COULD have it on your desk with a PC, and control the PC while the kB is connected to your tablet.
Why are Samsung selling keyboard covers and smart book cover which other than the keyboard are the same. It should be sold as a package. I got the keyboard for free bit also have the smart book cover for reduced price. The smart book cover i cant watch in bed as it has that weird stand. What they should have done is sold a smart cover and keyboard together. The back seems to same so you just switch out the front.
No, it connects via proprietary POGO pins to the tablet. Though the slim cover does support connecting to BT to other devices. Which means you can use the keyboard to control your tablet then swap it to control your computer or laptop or phone

I really want Samsung to sell the back magnetic kickstand that comes with the keyboard cover separately
any such third party kickstand?
There's one from spigen that's pretty similar
They do, but it does come with the folding screen protector instead of the keyboard (Smart Book Cover). I love it for traveling in a bag but I take the screen cover portion off when using the table, so easy since it is magnetic.
Thanks!
got the 10+ with the slim cover as free gift. but i wished they had a normal cover without the keypad as i dont use the keyboard much
Me too. I bought the keyboard cover for around 50% off with a friend's corporate id. Now i am planning to sell the slim keyboard
Does it provide any protection like case ?
Same
Good video! Answered all my questions. Thanks!
He did a good job reviewing.
Helpful video thank you I have the s9+ and keyboard covers were out of stock everywhere so knowing s10+ will work is great
Yeah it's the same thing just the ai key. That's why the old ones are out of stock. Glad to have helped!

It didn't cause those issues for me. But you can always turn it off by pressing the function key and the spacebar
I just wish the slim keyboard cover as backlit. That would've made it perfect for me.
For sure

Hi :)
Which one would you choose between samsung s6 lite (2024) and samsung a9+
Or what factors should i consider
Thank you !!
I desperately want Samsung to "borrow" the apple magic keyboard for the ultra 😫
I don't like keyboards with travel, or noisy ones. this looks perfect

Where can I buy the slim cover for s10+ ? I've looked everywhere and it's out of stock. Will it be back?
It's in stock at best buy. here bestbuycreators.7tiv.net/VxgoBa and amazon (link in the description)

Is S10 ultra keyboard cover working with the s8 ultra?
No. Different camera holes on the back of the kickstand, and even the keyboard won't work
As you said, I bought used new for £45 ~ $55 , really worth, slim book cover keyboard, as trackpad isn't great... Portal stuff. Worth
So i can buy the s9 ultra keyboard case for the galaxy s10 ultra tablet? Is that correct?
Yes that's correct. Sorry for the late response
It wont fit the cameras on the 10 ultra
i want to understand properly i want to get the s10+ cuz its got 5g and i want to get the touchpad version of the cover is it backlit or is that just for the ultra version, thx so much
According to him at 3:30 S10+ book cover with touchpad version doesnt come with backlit.
Backlit only available for ultra

Try changing the language to English (US) instead of UK

Is the ai key really that important? Can't l just hit a button on the tablet?
It's definitely not that important. Be older version will do just fine. Might as well save some money if you see it on sale
Wait, what a buffalo sabers hat mixed with Viking hat? as someone who's from Minnesota, who's a Bills Fan, there's so many questions.
Can you use the keyboard without connecting it? Is it bluetooth or does it have to be connected to have power.
For the slim keybord of the S10 ultra it must be connected to work, you can't use it without connecting it to the tablet
It connects to the tablet via pogo pins. Though, while its connected you CAN connect it to other devices via bluetooth. So theoretically you COULD have it on your desk with a PC, and control the PC while the kB is connected to your tablet.
Will it work with tab 8 +??
No. Cameras are different. Wouldn't fit. Different dimensions
I just bought the book cover keyboard for the tab s10 Ultra brand new for £103 from Amazon should be coming today. Can't Wait to get it 😅
Hope you enjoy it

Samsung accessories as re too pricey.

$350 for S10 Ultra is apple like pricing. INSANE!!!!!!
It is. I agree
Yeah bro this is wild why so much i got mine for 200 euros (not dollars) for tab s10 plus but it is overpriced
Mine was free with the tablet
No back lit keys is a deal breaker
