As an S7+ owner, I'm still happy with mine. I love your reviews and appreciate all the time you put into them. I have felt the itch to get an upgrade lately, but there isn't much a new right now. Maybe in a couple more iterations, but for now I'm still happy.
I'm not going to lie I've been strongly anticipating your videos lol.... Feels like a void when I don't see one from one of my top favorite tech reviewers. But I know life be life'n lol
I was looking forward to this review as I enjoyed your Tab S9 Review. I'm disappointed that they didn't do an 11 inch model this year which is a missed opportunity as the portability of the 11 inch model suits me. With not much improvements to the previous gen it looks like I'll be getting the Tab S9 11 inch. Thanks again and keep up the good work. With the content. 😊
she finds a way of giving the info that reflects how i use my tech and therefor answers all the questions i have. which is very different from what other big channels gives
Sweet vid. I'm watching from my tab s8 ultra. I was hoping to upgrade this year, but I don't really see the need for it. My tab is still going strong. Plus, with the updates, I got 99% of the newer tab features 😂
I already missed your videos, especially about Samsung tablets, so thx for this review. I considered upgrading from my TabS8U to TabS10U, so from SD 8 Gen 1 to Gen 4 and like you hoped for something exciting extra because of 10th anniversary - but no, they neither could wait another 3 months till 2/2025 for next gen SoC nor did they deliver anything else. So thx Samsung, you saved me a lot of money. I still like my TabS8U. So maybe next try with TabS11U hoping this one will still support SD-cards and battery and software updates of mine will last till then.
I still have my Tab s6, which I got in 2020. It works great and I have no problems! Might upgrade if Samsung brings some bigger upgrades in a year or two, loved the vid!
I upgraded from my 5 year old tab s6 to the tab s10+. The larger book cover keyboard for the 12.4" tab s10+ with regular size keys is so much easier for typing than the 11" tab s6 keyboard. The anti-reflective screen is very good. I'm pleased with the tab s10+. It was a good upgrade for a 5 year old device.
I actually started watching your videos because I bought the base model Tab S7 over 3 years ago. Used it for school and was always happy with it. And around 2 month ago a got a good deal on the 12/256GB Tab S9 Ultra with Trade-In for around 790€ ($850). Combined with a 256GB SD card and the Book Cover Keyboard I think I'm good to go for at least the next 3 years.
I bought the Samsung tab s9+ based on your reviews during amazon prime week. I couldn't justify the s10+ as so many reviewers said it was very similar to the s9+. I got it for a great price too! Thanks thao.
Im really happy with the S10+ 5G also. Got it for "free" after a huge discount on the Swedish Samsung site, plus Trade-In of my old S9+5G, ended up costing me nothing to upgrade =) Also got the bigger Keyboard Cover AI, glad they got rid of the Lang button that I accidently pressed too often. Anyways, day to day I notice no diffrence in performance between S9 and S10, but the anti reflection is a huge upgrade. Wifi 7 will not be standard for private homes for many many years here, and by then I will no longer have the S10, but nice to see that Samsung is way ahead.
I'm more than happy with my S9, 11 inch and it's size & portability, I'm surprised Samsung left the smaller size tablet market to Apple with their Tab S10 series, not everyone wants a large tablet.
I was really hoping for a small version. Big mistake. S9's had issues with the Wi-Fi 6e and caused me to return 3 units before I gave up. My old S8 was the best device I ever owned. Still kicking myself for getting rid of it.
Ok the S9 is £329 and the S10 plus is £499...which one to get?The difference is £170 but you get a free keyboard with the S10 plus.Dont know much about dimensity and even though the Snapdragon is older in the S9, it's more well known.
I'm still on the s6 lite😭i'm struggling to find a reason to upgrade. especially with the prices of the s6 lite now. your reviews really do give that itch to upgrade, they are quite good. i just find as a programmer, all the power i need is in my laptop and desktop. so the tablets are only for note taking and streaming
@@evelinecarolinelienhuaming1184 notch is barely noticeable. The plus is definitely smaller, but when people talk portability, are we talking back pack? Or just handling from place to place in your hands? I had the 8 ultra, now the 10 plus (for 5g), but data is horrible I and up using my mobile hotspot from my phone. I don't know why, but I just preferred having the ultra. It definitely stored easily in my backpack
Actually "downgraded" from the s9 Ultra to this because of portability. Have to say that the s9 Ultra had more vivid colors and a bit more punch in terms of brightness when placing them next to each other. It also had better sound quality. It is, however, just way too big to drag along. All in all the s10+ is the perfect tablet for me and my usecase. Paired with the keyboard slim cover and a pebble mouse, I get everything done with this.
@@thegrinch77 I never got the cover because I still used my laptop for typing related things. The S10+ is nice, but I definitely miss the bigger size. And they've got a S9 ultra on sale right now.. lol
Can you do a tablet review for note-taking? I just got into Physician Assistant school (yay!) and can't decide between the Tab S10, Surface Pro 11, or IPad Pro.
Love your vids as always. Im very disappointed with the S10 this year. I was really hoping that the 10th generation would be really special, but its the opposite. Barely any upgrades. At the very least I was hoping for Snapdragon 8G4 or the X Elite cto try to compete with the iPad Pro M4, but no such luck. Think ill just extend the life of my S7+ by replacing the battery. Samsung has been letting me down all year.
I got this one Here in Brazil, it comes with the magnetic case and the keyboard (that has a the trackpack). Due to our laws, it also comes with a small charging brick in the box. And I got it for a pretty good deal at lauch. I'm loving the tablet. Its just amazing, specially paired with an S24U. The new Dex mode on the other hand is a bit disapointing, I didnt see any advantage over the regular "tablet" mode, since it already does multitasking. I tought it would be more Windows-like, insted we just got apps opening in a weird small window mode.
I use emulators on my Tab S10 Ultra (currently playing Chrono Cross and FF7). It works just fine. 🤷🏾♂️ This tablet is perfect for Tab S7 users, which I scored a great trade in deal for mine. Anyone with newer devices may want to wait.
Good Morning: Still on the fence, but thank you so much for your insight and precise, review. The tag line is S10+ is this the Ultra Model ? I am still amazed at Samsung, thank you for making it so simple to understand. Go Team Thao.
I've got the s7+ and I 100% have been wanting to upgrade to the S10 Ultra to use as a laptop. I bought my S7+ for school and art and it was not reliable for school at all. I still love it and use it daily, but I'd like something a bit bigger but more portable than my laptop that's light enough to keep in my purse. My only issue with the S10 Ultra is the slim keyboard not having the adjustable kickstand like the full keyboard case does. I never use the touch pad, so it's annoying that I would need to choose between the kickstand and an annoying touchpad in the way. ESPECIALLY since the slim keyboard doesn't detach from the cover like the full size keyboard does, so I can't choose to get both and use the parts I want.
Just finished watching this on my Tab S9,.... I'm going hold. I wish they offered the 5G model here in the Divided States of America. I'm not wanting a larger tablet smh
I have a feeling Samsung used this years Tab line as leverage against Qualcom to get a better price on snapdragon 8 elite in the s25 line. Why so few changes, lack of smaller version, it being released on a shorter cadence, and the Mediatek chip.
I bought the smaller S9 tablet off your review last year. My tab is going strong, so there is no upgrade for me this year. It's odd that Samsungs moved away from Qualcomm.
I prefer 11-inch tablets so the Tab S10 series doesn’t appeal to me. I assume Samsung ditched that as there are so many better value 11-inch android tablets that they probably didn’t believe it would be worth making. They are probably right. As for this, it is great, peak tablet, and although iterative, what more can they really do? As always, with tech, especially tablets, the upgrade cycle is increasing, and 4-5 years is the average. So compared to 4 years ago, the Tab S10+ is a nice upgrade, though expensive; so look for deals.
Looks like I'll be sticking with my S6 and maybe getting a VR headset for flights. Tablets are just outrageously priced for my use case (video during travel).
The only thing I hate about dex is the top bar. The small bar when using mini view in normal tablet mode is so much better and I wish its how dex worked
This would be a great investment since i'll be doing law school next year and it can also help on my current job taking notes and backing up my spreadsheets
I was looking forward to buy S10 Regular Model. Compact and convenient one but that didn't happen 😢. Wonder why they just killed on it's 10th generation 🤔
4:01 You can't use your Galaxy Tab S10+ as a portable monitor? On my Tab S7+ I can go into the toggles, select "Second Screen" then it works as a monitor for my Galaxy Book, DeX for my Z Fold6, etc etc. Hopefully they didn't take that option away.
@thao so you're looking for a first party way to connect HDMI devices... like some are doing with USB Camera Pro to get their PS/Xbox/Switch onto their Galaxy Tab?

Samsung should implement a dex multi screen function, where you can use your Tablet as a second monitor for dex while connected to another monitor
U actually can
I am talking about desktop-like multi-monitor support, with the option of using the Tablet itself as an extra monitor

Yeah, trade in deals or a hefty sale are almost required these days
Honestly the lower full screen brightness than the iPad really ruins it for me. Basically perfect other than that
I always wonder if it can use as screen for ipad mini? What do you think?
Not that I know of

But is this a better upgrade from a Tab S6 (2019)?
Yeah, 100% if you're okay with the larger size.
No 11 inch option this year i guess, so I'll probably upgrade to the tab s9.
Why would you need to sccess your messaging app via your phone when its got a tablet app btw?

There is no need to buy it if you have an s9ultra.
