    Thank you for posting this! I got some risers that didn’t work because I got the wrong size. So mini’s are going to be it for me as I love my scout but don’t like being hunched over. So here goes:
    Where did you get them? How tall (8, 10, or 12)? And how thick are the bars? Thank you!

    This is an old video; but I’m hoping you still have this bike!
    It’s so refreshing to see a non Harley, and it’s just as refreshing to see a bike that’s a different color other than black. Seems 98% of all bikes on the road are straight black. I like black but it’s nice to see a change up.
    Mine is mostly silver metallic with a little black.
    Great job on the install. Even if it was 5 years ago. Ha.

    Hair spray will work for the left grip. And in the future you can get it back off, vs the super glue will most likely require cutting it off. Lastly, any one doing this mod should seriously consider running the wiring inside the bars, so much more of a cleaner look.

    • @zenman11
      @zenman11 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Im just about to fit my ape bars to Scout, how does the hairspray vs glue work?,..no chance of it sliding off at any stage? also would like to see a vid of someone running wires inside the bars, how easy is that? does that involve drilling holes in bars? I agree the wires hanging out from the bars is not a good look! I notice they only supply 2 zip ties with new bars so maybe there is not enough slack to put zip ties in the 2 holes further up and pull the wires in snug to bars at least.

    Hey Looking into putting some 10-12" apes on my Indian Scout (non-bobber). Did you have to get longer cables or were the stock ones long enough to reach?

    • @SpinnerEV
      @SpinnerEV  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The oem mini apes are 10” according to the Indian website. The stock cables worked with mine. If you go bigger, you’ll probably need longer cables.

    My I ask which seat that is?

    • @SpinnerEV
      @SpinnerEV  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      In this video, I believe it’s the stock seat from 2016. I did upgrade to a Corbin solo saddle eventually. It was better.

    My left control switch is too high on this mini-ape hanger and when I try to use the turn lights I press the horn... It's a bit dissapointing not to be able to rotate it :(Do you have any piece of advice? Of course, by not lowing the handlebar because it's in a comfortable position for me. And the clutch cable remains very strained.Thanks!

    • @SpinnerEV
      @SpinnerEV  8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +Juliabel Only thing I can think of is to lower the handlebar slightly, or adjust the angle of the levers. Everything is a trade off, but if you're comfortable, just give yourself time to get used to it.

    • @SpinnerEV

      Ok that doesn't help is there some other tool that I can use

    • @SpinnerEV
      @SpinnerEV  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      A 6mm Allen wrench with a T handle, or a long handled ratchet with the 6mm hex bit, maybe some WD40... I’m pretty sure those bolts have loctite on them from the factory. Sorry I couldn’t be of more help.
