this is the second or third EDH deck tech i have seen where there's a smoke alarm that is low battery. In the background can hear the beeping. Hit the hash key for a 24hr or 12 hr silence. Sleep well :)
I personally don't like Doubling Cube, as it needs you to have at least 7 mana before it can actually add any mana. I like Nyxbloom Ancient or Mana Reflection over it. There's another "untap a creature" equipment you might like, it's called Umbral Mantle. It untaps the equipped creature for 3 mana, and gives it +2/+2 until eot. I would replace the Birds and the Utopia Sprawl with Overgrowth and Viridian Joiner, both of which help your comboes a little. Lastly, I think you might want to cut one or two Mana dorks for more guys that tap to untap a land (or two) such as Ley Weaver, Argothian Elder, or Magus of the Candelabra.
With doubling cube - you get to that 7 mana quickly. With Omnath's ability you can practically half any cost in that ballpark via the mana efficiency. It just means less stuff around when the other players are starting to combo some +1's and do little 3 attack power turns to everyone. And then you have consistent and large exponential growth from there onwards, you're either making Omnath a game-ender in just a couple turns from when you first play it, or you can essentially cast anything you draw with ease by the next turn.
Hall of Gemstone does not effect lands that tap for colorless, acording to the card rulings in Gatherer. It only effects lands that tap for a color to begin with, so your Reliquary Tower will still tap for colorless (because colorless is not a color, it is not changed by the Hall, sadly). I still like Hall of Gemstone a lot though, because on your turn it locks out other people's land mana, so it makes counterspells and such harder to cast.
I love it. Love that you run Awakening. And of course Urban Burgeoning is an Omnath staple. I don't understand people who don't run it. I didnt see Mark of Sakiko do you run it? It's a great card for him. Also check out Reincarnation. It has been a really great card for me. It's even better now that you can trigger it with your commander (when Omnath dies you could get back Nyxbloom Ancient for instance, and still put Omnath back in the command zone.)
@@opmagic1616 Glad you like it! It's even better if you happen to have double strike somehow. not a lot of double strike effects in green but say you have Mark of Sakiko, Fireshrieker, and 6 floating mana. You attack with Omnath and he is unblocked. You kill an opponent with 21 commander damage and you have 27 mana after combat. !!!!
Two auto includes I think you should add are Archytype of Endurance and Temur Sabertooth for efficient protection but great deck tech. Edit also after checking my deck list since you like combo I recommend Argothian Elder + Maze of Ith for infinite green mana. A lot of people don’t know about that one it’s some spicy tech, you’re welcome lol
Op Magic No problem, I’ll subscribe and I plan on uploading my decks here soon in the future just trying to figure out how to do it, I have 30+ decks lol.
Sorry to keep posting criticism, but the thing I don't like about Well of Knowledge is that you most likely play it, other players use it, then somebody destroys it before it can wheel the turn and benefit you. Often this card draws everyone else a card then dies before you get to use it. I would probably cut it for a creature tutor, maybe Natural Order. Even if you do get to use the Well, assuming you have 3 opponents, and they pay to use it once each, that means you have to pay 6 Mana to use it 3 times on your turn in order to keep pace with that. That being the case, the Well probably helps others collectively more than it helps you, and it helps them first.
No worries Francis Kelly. I welcome it that's how we get better. I did try greater good. It just didn't work for me the way I wanted it to. Your point on well of knowledge remember there are times where we can cast it at instant speed so it could only benefit us. If well of knowledge isnt your cup of tea simply replace it with a card that fits your play style. In the mean time keep winning!!
@@opmagic1616 definitely better with Orrery. Have you tried Tower of Fortunes? I played with it for a while, then cut it when they printed Life's Legacy.
Francis Kelly I like Life's Legacy too bad it's not an instant. That would male that card bonkers. I would probably go Greater good over Life's Legacy. If you do the math well of knowledge cost the same amount of mana to draw the same amount of cards as tower of fortune. For me the difference would be were able to use well of knowledge early on vs w of f. Wouldn't gain us card advantage in the very early game but i could see an argument for both.
Oh, and I think I'd put Greater Good in there instead of Soul's Majesty. The problem with Soul's Majesty is, you cast it, you pick a target, then an opponent kills or bounces the target in response. When that happens, the Soul's Majesty fizzles for lack of a target. Frankly, I think Soul's Majesty is not worth playing. Life's Legacy is probably better, since it's only 2 mana and more reliably draws you the cards.
Hi Kit and thank you for the comment. I was fortunate enough to have started mtg years ago before most of the recent spikes. I started out as a modern player before crossing over to commander. Being a modern player gave me access to shocks and fetches while they were still affordable.
@Thomas Galloway what do you mean only one? You can’t have more than one copy of the same card lol. Vorinclex was in the deck, snow covered lands mean nothing unless you are running Extraplanar Lens, and Turn 8 sucks. I don't want to be a prick, but next time you try to give advice, don't be this stupid.
I'm newer and have this commander now because of the new green collection. Maybe you could do a follow up to this commander? Great vid!

Mark of Sakiko, I had never heard of it. Reading the card....Whoa!!! I can see it getting out of hand! Thanks for the tip!

Dude I would love to see your commander lists/ decks. That would be awesome. Ill return the subscribe.
Op Magic I’ll try to get some uploaded this coming week on my days off. Sounds good bro and thank you.
This is pretty good stuff
Thank you for this deck my playgroup now respects my omnath deck. Lol

Radiac Do you have a list ?
I’ve been working on mine for awhile and been looking for ideas.
@@ballsoutforbolas7555 Not at the moment. I need to post one in the description. Ill work on that.

Maybe I missed it, but is there a reason you aren't running Helix Pinnacle?
Went with a different win con was all.
So different than my run with omnath
I love omnath but my dude, the prefix of "a-" means "not". Saying asymmetrical means not symmetrical.
Vernal equinox
Your "staple lands" add to over 130 dollars by themselfs

No snow covered lands and only 1 doubleing cube, no vornclex.. my onmanth deck would toast you turn 8
Hi thank you for the comment. Turn 8 is really slow for a commander deck. I like seeing other deck ideas and would love to see your build.

Great deck. Please change your smoke alarm batteries
