Why do I watch videos of people doing things I would NEVER want to do?? Because, somehow, they're soothing as hell. Timmy's a good guy too, which helps.
Exactly.
Oh it’ll be fine, do something like this if you ever get the chance! Maybe you’d like it, if not, most of these basic things aren’t that imitating after a person does it, so if it’s ever a necessity you’d know how!
Me too. 😅
100% and it makes ZERO sense but I love it. Also the production on these videos are amazing, just like sickos or mav. Soothing af
Give it a try it might be a thing or another that you love doing never know.
I've built 3 houses from the ground up for myself. It can be an intimidating tough job if you don't know what you're doing but soooo rewarding once you move in. One tip finish EVERYTHING before you move in or it won't ever get done
That's quite an accomplishment. As well as good advice, but we both know that building something as grand as a house, it's never really done. 😁
I agree with this. I’ve seen so many occupied houses with just Tyvek vapor barrier and no siding. Looks horrible.
FYI ya got that sani tee backwards on that tie in. Looks good though!!!
I second this, I moved into a house that was done for all intents and purposes except for the master bedroom addition, a whole 2 seasons later it's just now getting done 😂
Ya know Timmy, I don't really care if you post a house build video, truck house video, snowmobiling video, whitewater rafting video, etc. I just enjoy watching your content! Keep up the great work and post whatever you want, because I'll always watch no matter what.
Thanks duder
I still can't believe how you know how to do so many things Timmy. Amazing 🤩 ps... not boring watching you make the house up.. in fact it's quite exciting seeing how it all comes together. What could be more lovely than making a lovely home 😊 Well done Timmy.
@@IgorMironov-rq4ye my name isn't Cassandra or Clarice. I don't know what you're talking about.
Timmy, you’re one of the most humble people out there. Skilled in several trades, creative, and motivated yet I’ve never heard you boast or brag.
Look at that view from the deck! Breathtaking! 🏔🏔
I’m a 62 year old woman who is thoroughly enjoying watching you build while your truck house was in the shop! Keep it up 🙂
I'm glad you finally turned that vent tee over the right direction for venting before you glued it. (9:53) My OCD was in kicking into overdrive. Good job on the build. You will never starve when you know how to work with your hands.
Me too 😁, I kept talking to Timmy through the TV...."turn it over" before you glue it
I"m glad someone else was thinking that too! I kept telling myself "He can't hear you yelling through the screen", at a video that was recorded long before I watched it no less - and I was like "I bet he hasn't screwed that fu@#ing stove back in place in the camper yet either!" - I need medication.
Timmy, your house is looking amazing in this picture. A straight-up mansion.
Calm down 😂
@susansuarez343 ohhh ok Susan...😂😂 couldn't think of anything that made sense so turn to feminist retaliation calling a man "creep" for telling you to calm down? Ohh ok. Lol.
@@LivingforHimJesus nah that paragraph proved susan was right, you a creep.
Consider adding an electrical receptacle where your toilets are in case you’d like to treat you’re with a heated bidet!
Nice work 👍.
Timmy if you have not enclosed the bath tub/s be sure that before you do you somehow insulate the tub exterior and cavity so that when filled with hot water the hot water remains as warm as possible for as long as possible.
Wow that cabin looks like a dream... Love the style of architecture.
Cabin?
When your friend who helped with the plumbing comes over to hang out, you two should use the top deck.
This way you can say you have a Fiddler on the Roof
(A bit obscure, I know, but the Googles will get ya there)
🤣🤣🤣🤣👍🏻💯🎻 on the roof🤣🤣🤣
Enjoy all you're videos, no matter what's going on
Make sure you have electric plugs on deck, too. Lights and fire pit are great. You may want to string lights in the winter or add music
I'm always impressed with people who can do shit I can't do.
Timmy, I built a house 1/2 that size in 1987. I get overwhelmed just wondering how I did it all, mostly by myself, sometimes one friend or my Dad giving me a hand. I I was 27 then and super tough and strong, now almost 64, tuckered out, lol. Glad you’re doing it now, you’ll have a long time before you can’t climb the stairs. It would literally cost me 10-15 times as much today as then. I had mine paid for in about 7 years, busting my butt. I have continued to add some, remodeled some, etc, but there’s probably few things as satisfying as building your own home then owning it one day. I’m jacked up with fibromyalgia and back trouble now, so I’d be in hot water if I hadn’t but the bullet at a young age, looking good!
Love the home content Timmy - it's really coming along. Thanks for sharing.
of course! thank u!
I’m loving the build! You will certainly never be accused of being boring. Seems like you were made for TH-cam. Your home is going to be gorgeous, comfortable and warm. I could never call this build a “cabin”.
LOL NOPe not a Cabin....a Palace!!! lol
Mini mansion . More work than i want too do . Ive already built 2 houses & my bad back wont allow fun projects like this ,
Really loving the house building content as much as the truck house content.
Howdy Timmy! Almost to 500,000 ….wow! Keep on trucking and saddle up !
8-10 inches from the counter top. Upper cabinets are usually 18-20 inches from the counter top.
18-20 didn’t make any sense to me wither
Timmy I think you could do anything that comes to your mind and it would be interesting. I’ve enjoyed every aspect of your journey. You inspire us to try new things and get out there. Love what you are doing my friend.
It's reallly good to see that you are healthy and thriving @ Truck House Life although I must admit you reallly blew my mind the day we all went snowmobiling, ghost riding and para sailing all in one of your videos. I have never been able to find that video again. I would bookmark it if I could find it. The air time was awesome!!! Timmy if you remember the video hook us up so we can view it again. >@^_*@
My 36" countertops have the top of the trim plate at 12". Going higher would start getting pretty close to the cabinets. Definitely don't want 20".
Yep. My upper cabinets are only 20" above the counter top.
Timmy.. Countertops in kitchen are 36-37 from finished floor.. Bottom of upper wall cabinets are usually 54 to the bottom. So roughly 18 inches between them. Outlets are centered on that.. So 36+9 to center of rough-in box. Plus the 1-3/4 to the top of the boxes. 47 to top of box from finished floor is a good number..
Awesome video as always Timmy. The cabin is becoming more and more awesome.
Feel proud. This is a hell of an accomplishment. You have worked SO hard. Bravo!
Thanks!
By now SNOW is a 4 letter word in AK. Winter is just too long.
I love the house building videos. I cannot wait to see the finished product. And I can't wait to see how you decorate it
They’re coming!
Timmy thanks for your discount code at Complete Auto,i just ordered front and rear fox 2.0’s for my truck.97 F350 XLT crew cab, long bed with power stroke diesel.Couldnt find them anywhere until these guys sized me up 👊👊
Everything you do is an adventure, thanks for taking us along.
Dude i tip my cap to you. I thought building two walk-in closets was bad enough. But you're building a whole freaking house.
I LOVE LOVE LOVE your deck!!! I have never seen a system like that and it is BEAUTIFUL and so unique! So much more special than the typical boards. Not to mention the view you have! I really enjoyed this post
Goodness gracious you’re doing great on your cabin-house Tim! Thanks for the update.
20” above countertop sounds rather high for outlets. I would think 12”would be better. 18” from countertop to bottom of upper cabinets is the standard height. The upper cabinet box would cover the outlet / receptacle at 20 inches.
Agreed 100%
cords on appliances are getting shorter
no your big nose does that
I wish I had your knowledge and skills! I’m lucky to remember to put the seat down in the bathroom!
Do you forget to put the seat down for yourself before you sit? I don't get it
@@LF12468 you’re not married are you?
I don't get what being married has to do with you forgetting to put a toilet seat down before you take a shit. Are you ok?
@@donaldnorth3714 Oh I get it. You're one of those guys that sit to pee and take orders from feminist wives. What a miserable existence you have.
@@donaldnorth3714 If it is like that then thank God I'm not. Do you allow her to put other restrictions on you voluntarily? That's more like your mother right?
Awesome and outstanding as always. Thanks for sharing and taking us along
Take a look into the canless LED lights, that's all we install anymore, less costly than the old cans by the time you do trim and bulbs. Simple to install, just map where your wires are, we snap lines and drill the holes after drywall is up but before mudding, taping, and texture. Although you'll snap your fingers a few times with the damn spring levers that hold them in. Lol The better ones have multi selectable lumen levels, some even have a night light ring that is activated by a quick on/off flick of the switch. Those are real nice especially when you have frequent guests, we had a client go with them in various areas because he's frequently hosting folks on religious missions.
Greetings Timmy..spring is slow in coming to The Yukon Territory..+10C today..thankyou for the grrrreat videos !!😊❤😊
Yesssss , I love the house build vids. So many cool features you're working on
Great job Timmy - absolutely in awe of the job you’re doing - love how you create your own luck and a solid future - thanks man !
This home is an oasis and all you can need or want! Excellent build!
Thanks for sharing the cabin/house build videos! I’m really enjoying it! You’re doing a great job Timmy!
I really love your construction videos. Your explanations are A1. Thanks Timmy.
I like seeing the transformation from structure to a home. This content makes the anticipation of the truck house even better. I like the look of the outside of your home and look forward to the cable railing on your stairs
This series is fantastic, i love watching all of the planning and figuring things out without me having to do a thing. After 25 years of being a homeowner i am all done with projects. Selling and going back to renting in a nice building where someone else can fix things! Can’t wait to see the finished house.
Your house is amazing and it's not even finished !! It's going to be AWESOME !! Thank you for sharing with us 🎉🎉👏👏🎉🎉💗💗
That gripstrut strip at the entry door is brilliant!
I was stationed at JBER for a couple years and miss it every day. So jealous of your setup, Turnagain arm stays undefeated!!
I enjoy all your content, you film and chat in such a way that every video is engaging and captivating. Bring on all the content!
House is looking amazing, can really see your creative mind at work.
I love the look of this cabin. It’s different in a good way. The outside will be as nice as the inside.❤
Amazing video can't wait to see the finished result!
Wow love the build Timmy I am learning so much about a house build so interesting and then the anticipation to see the end results this is a seriously beautiful build and the views are breathtakingly beautiful it is something to see someones vision come to life. Well done Timmy.
man I love the amount of outlets you put in your house, its never fun having too few and trying to run cords exc.
When placing your electric receptacles you compensated for trim and wall thickness but what about flooring? It looked like you placed them at minimum code height from the subfloor and not the to-be finished floor.
I was so happy you fired up that amazing wood stove.
You’re a great teacher. I’m sure your driving students would agree. Your can do attitude & self taught skill set is inspiring. I’m not going to build a house, but you make it feel like it’s a possibility!
Hey Tim. I have been watching your videos for a few weeks and I have told other people about them. I really admire you for doing what you do especially on those dangerous roads in below freezing temperatures. You have created an original idea and no one is like your channel which definitely makes you unique. I found the videos kind of by accident. I was watching bush craft videos and one day one of your videos came up in my You tube search on my TV and after watching the first video I was hooked. Now I want to get a camper and travel and I definitely want to visit Alaska and see some of the things I have seen in your videos. I love the channel and I plan to join as a member. Thank you for all your hard work and thank you for being good to your subscribers/members. You are a wonderful person and I hope someday maybe I can see your truck and meet u in real life when I'm up that way. Take care my friend and keep up the good work
I like your little car Tim. Pretty practical for when the trucks down or just to run to town.
Love watching your video's Timmy! Great work! ❤
I find the build quite fascinating. Taken from paper and made into reality. I think it looks beautiful so far. Can't wait to see it finished😊
Yes it is slick outside. Don't know what you do with your ashes from the stove but you should be spreading them on your drive and or beside the walkway on the snow piles. They make the snow melt much faster and promote greener grass and flowers. I've been doing it for years on my driveway. Just a little tidbit of different info.
Love the videos of the house and your travels thank you for sharing it with us all and thanks from Fort Worth texas
was driving and saw your cool ass build from the road! i looked to my left and i was like no fucking way that’s THE truckhouselife cabin build
Looks like your dreams are coming true! Good job, it sure is a complicated way to live compared to your old truck house life!
Love watching your stuff. The house is gonna be incredible.
Your way of explaining and showing it on cam is excellent!
You make it look easy 🎥👍
Great building video ,lots of work.🤩👍👍
Crazy to think that your first ever video on YT was 16 years ago 😮😮
The cabin is looking spectacular Tim
You have done a great job on it
I love all the videos and I don't care what you are doing. Always look forward to a new video. Thanks for the cabin update. Can't wait to see it done
Love from Ohio
Great to see more house build video, that place is phenomenal! Talking about your TV and where it will go and it not being a focal point resonated with me, and you might consider a laser projector instead. You can have a nice wood box hiding one of those screens that pulls down and then have a huge TV when you want to watch it without it being so visible. Can't wait to see that place finished!
Nice place. You might should ought to have a big neighborhood party or two this summer, on the flat roof. Make the neighbors love it, cause you're gonna need help in a few years after a couple of winters. Anyways, party on Tim.
Your house is coming along amazing!! you might want to consider under cabinet power strips so your backsplash isn’t broken up by outlets
Been watching your home building series and I gotta say dude, Kudos to you and then some. Place looks fantastic!! All the best!!
I enjoy seeing you work on the house. It's coming along good. Reminds me of when I was a kid and helped my dad work on an addition to the house. Got pretty good at laying floor tile.
Great job!!
Mate it looks bloody good well done
You are doing an awesome job. Really appreciate all your videos😊
Thank you so much 😀
I dig the house content. Fun to watch the project progress. You’re one ambitious guy.
Timmy, you are kicking butt on that house, absolutely beautiful, can’t wait to see it finished.
Keep on trucking man!!!
🤘🏻😎🤘🏻
Love the content, thanks so much.
This is all interesting! It’s so much to know, then put into practice. As you went along I kept thinking about running all the wire everywhere! 😳😂 Such a beautiful house you’re creating- I love it! I don’t know how you do it but you make it all fun- from building to camping to snow adventures. I think you could make reading a phone book interesting. You have a sweet disposition and engaging personality. ❤
Hi Timmy. Really enjoy the building content. Keep up the good work. You re getting there. ✌🏼✌🏼✌🏼
Great video!
Great job Timmy. Congrats
That place looks incredible, you should be extremely proud of yourself.
Thanks Paul!
This is awesome, really looking forward to more vids, such a stunning house and location, not jealous at all
Love the house content…can’t wait to see more!
