Fantastic choices, 3 amazing iconic watches for 5000€ that keep their value. For less than 5 or 6000€ I also like the breitling Navitimer 7806, the UG polerouter, the patek Ellipse, the Heuer Autavia, the omega constellation, and so much more :)
Also, a bit of advice to those looking for vintage Santos pieces and want to know if a watch has been polished and/or polished correctly is to look at the screws on the bracelet. If the screws show a brushed look/lines, then you know the watch has definitely been polished and done so incorrectly. The screws should always be polished, not brushed, same with the bezel. I don't mind some light polishing on pieces, so long as it has been done right, but there are so many examples of these watches with poorly done polishing jobs so make sure you do your due diligence on your search.
Cant go wrong with a properly purchased Rolex datejust. It was my first vintage watch and is still in my collection. When I purchased one it was much cheaper though. As far as other vintage. I like a small seconds Omega Seamaster from the 50s. Classic for under 3k
Oh wow brilliant. Hoping to buy one towards the end of the year. Just about getting the right price and of course condition! thanks for the reply and keep up the great content. @@AleksWatches
Do you agree with my picks or would you choose something else for the budget?

I own a 16014 Datejust and a Santos Galbee 2823. Love them both!

as amazing as those 3 watches are, that DJ would be my pick.
Solid pick!
Blancpain Leman Flyback Chronograph is a good one for that budget IMO
But not so much vintage tho. But I like BP. Lot of value from the Biver era

Great piece and suggestion 🙌🏼
Had no idea you could take a 'vintage' Cartier Santos Caree swimming even if it is pressure tested?
Of course! Why not? In the booklets they are WR to 80m

What size is the Cartier Carree?
29x41mm
Where is your shirt from?
Natalino!
I just hate the DJ bracelet strech
I hear you but I also believe its part of the charm 😎
There are plenty of examples available without the stretch.
