- Is the SL8 really better than the SL7? Since Summer 2020, I have ridden the Tarmac SL7, riding it almost 15,000 miles over the last three years. I've now ridden the SL8 700+ miles and I think there are a few areas in which the SL7 is the better bike.

Been riding the SL7 for two years. It's awesome. Would love to upgrade to the SL8, but the reality is it would be wasted money. The bike isn't gonna make me any faster on group rides or in races. Also, I think it's unnecessary to consider the resale value when purchasing a bike. Bikes are not investments, and they don't hold their value. They get ridden, dropped, scratched up, and crashed. They are tools. If you are buying this level of bike ($10k-$15k), you can afford to sell your old bikes for pennies on the dollar to upgrade when the whim strikes. For me, it would just seem like wasted money to upgrade. I'll wait for the SL9, or my SL7 frame to crack 🤣

Haha, let's hope your frame doesn't crack. I disagree on the resale value- the market is flooded with SL7's and the prices are continuing to drop, so you hit the bottom of the depreciation curve much quicker. Just my two cents.
@@outdoorbros_ I've crashed my SL7 4-5 times so it would probably not be worth top dollar in any market. If you have a pristine condition bike then yes, it might matter.
@tccycling is your SL7 an Sworks bike? If it is, I'd rather sell that and buy the non-Sworks SL8. You'd probably come out with extra pocket money too

Another very insightful views on the best frames in the world. This is the qualitative review that is most helpful. Face the people looking at your vids are spending ~$10k on a bike. The stats do not matter, it is the qualitative items like ride quality and important that is to you that matter. Thanks Chris, keep this tuff coming. For background I have ridden an SL3, SL6 and SL7, probably 20K miles or so.
Thank you! I think the stats matter to a point, but everyone needs to take a $10k+ bike for a spin before they make the purchase. Hopefully this provides some insight because I know a lot of us are/were struggling with the idea of jumping to the SL8. They're both exceptional.
I'd honestly take the cheaper SL8 over the Sworks SL7. You get the same aerodynamics as the Sworks bike and the weight is similar

Same for me. Expert as first higher end bike. Upgraded bars and rims. Is like the pro now. Lightweight and great to ride. I never have been this fast, but that might just be the look and feel of the bike making me thinking i go faster than ever.. but i am happy (and strava says i am faster, so it must be true)
SRAM or Shimano? Making that decision now. Shimano is $1k more expensive and I don’t know if it’s worthwhile
Based on your scoring/ranking I’d go with SL7 over SL8. I find that I can account for handling as a rider but ride quality isn’t something that I can adjust for. Watching you haul ass down the hills on either bike made me want to run away from my desk and go ride. Excellent video!

I jumped from SL6 to SL8. Lovely the switch . To me it feels stiffer in the front , snappier in the rear . Carries speed easier than the SL6

As a guy that used to ride Orange County (Como, Food Park, Bus Stop, Queen Mary, Coffee Crew, Tuesday Worlds etc.) and moved to Idaho., your videos are making me miss the riding more than ever. Great review, as a sprinter/roleur (not a climber) I think I'm going to opt for the SL8 as my first disc bike.... presently own a SL6 Sagan. Moving back down so it's time to start thinking new bike and getting fit again (read: losing 35 lbs of potato weight!)

Im totally a Turbo S (SL7) guy. Yes the 3RS (SL8) is probably fantastic for track days. But I’m 50+ I don’t do the whole track day thing. I want really fast car with great handling with just a little bit more comfort. Being honest I don’t think I could tell the difference between the two anyway.
It’s the looks of the SL7 that really do it for me. 😍😍😍😘🥰 I too prefer the looks of the Sram Force crank to the Sram Red crank.😎👍🏻

@@stephenchu1115 i'm a porsche fanatic and i do own 911 turbo s for your information. i have previously owned other porsches too but not the gt3 rs. I know what the gt3 rs is about though as i have been lucky enough to test drive one. You do not even need to own any of these cars to know what they are about though, if you are a car guy and like porsches there are tens of thousands of youtube videos/reviews to watch.

@@richcampbell3502 I think there’s quiet enjoyment to be had by getting most of the wattage uplift of the 8 without spending 5k++ (assuming transfer of drivetrain etc) to do it, and without looking like you can’t live without the latest shiny toy. It does help that the 7 arguably looks better, so the optical lure is, for me anyway, much less. Chris is creating TH-cam content and people want to know about the 8, so the purchase makes total sense obviously.
I have the SL7 Pro decked out with all Sram Red and it's a great bike. I would definitely upgrade to the SL8 but not now as I have no reason. Happy to wait another year and for more colors. Will be getting the Sworks frame the next time around.

Love my SL7Pro as well. Bad news is I have itch for the 8.
S-Works SL7 ride quality is just superb. Absolutely love mine and I don't see myself getting an SL8 (goofy computer mount angle on that new bar is a little off-putting as well). However, who knows what the future will hold. LOL!! Great video!
Goofy computer angle? I think it’s the same mount as my SL7.
@@outdoorbros_ I have never actually seen it, but quite a few folks have mentioned that the mount on that bar angles the computer a little too far forward, away from the rider. Maybe they fixed that on later iterations of the bar. I dunno.
I’ve has an S-works SL7 for two years and a Venge for 3, if the SL8 is more Venge like then that’s a plus for me. I love both bikes but I still love the Venge more. Sounds like I need ed to try the SL8. Great video that makes one think.

Hi .New subscriber here. I like yours videos for sl8. I recommend you use the Continental . They feels a little slower than the corsa but i think is more (stronger) on punctures.
This year i done 9k kilometers ,the most of them on brevets ( 200, 300 ,400 ,600,1000 ) and i had only two flat tyres.
I will wait with agony your next video ,after the race ,to tell us how you feel with the sl8 .

Maybe you can do a performance review on enve 4.5 vs 2.3 which one could be an all around wheelset, deeper section wheels or a lightweight climbing wheels! thank you! keep making good content!
Ha! I'm glad that landed well. My wife is 100% aware of all bike purchases, but I did have to ask her the question. I have actually recorded and re-recorded the 4.5 vs 2.3 part 1 video several times. I'll get it done soon!
Second this request - I’m on the in-between 3.4s and they worked well for all conditions, but would be keen to hear Chris’ thoughts on having the slightly smaller and larger rims instead.

@@erickcustomersupport3677 unlikely that it’s faster, but probably less affected by crosswinds and good for when the group ride has climbs in if. They are a good all rounder for sure.

Prices have definitely become more competitive.
The ride quality of the SL7 is unmatched in my opinion. I have not ridden the SL8 so I can not say it’s better. The Venge was a super fast machine but on long distances it bit me up badly. I fell in love with the SL7 when I first tested it, that’s why I bought it. I’m gonna keep riding it until I get bored of it or it breaks. 👏💪

Hello. Finally I got my bike on the road and here are my first impressions. The sl8 looks is more modern and I love it. The steering is very sharp and you feel that the bike is planted on corners. The bike front is stiff and pleasant but bouncy. A zebra cross can destabilize the front end in an abnormal way. I have the slr saddle and feel that the bike is very comfortable. What is heavy is the bottom bracket, although very responsive, you need to be very comfortable with 200plus watts to keep it going. The fork has a sailing effect with cross wind… I love the bike and if I would provide feedback to Specailized, I would ask to reengineer the bottom bracket. The battery for di2 does not fit well in the new seat post.

I have giant advanced sl, I am pushing it for 10 years before upgrading. I think I like the sound of the SL7 based on your review. Ride quality is more important to me.
Just did 200 miles on the SL8 and it was great- no complaints.
I just got the SL8, and was able to do one 20 mile ride b/c of the hurricane. I'm would say I'm a short 40 something below average cyclist who doesn't ride enough. I had a pro frameset built up with a 350mm two piece bar and stem, until my fit is dialed in. Plus I was running all the spacers and a handlebar bag with tools for adjustments. The bike holds speeds incredibly well. Most of the time I was on the tops b/c the stack is way to high for me. I average a measley 112 watts and hit at least 10 lights. My average speed was 16.6mph. I noticed how fast the bike acclerates form a complete stop. About 5 strokes and I would be up to 23mph. I've never owned a specialized bike, so I came in with zero expectations. I've decided to rededicate myself to cycling and the bike was used as a carrot to help get me started. The bike weighs 6.4 kg w/ ultegra di2, 105 1x crankset, and 40 carbon wheels. I believe I can get the weight to 13 pounds. After one ride I'm a believer in all the specialized hype, and this is coming from someone who rides a pinarello.
My man I think you need to just ride and stop focusing on gear if you're averaging 112 watts.

I appreciate the SL7 and SL8..i just think the SL7 looks better overall..but i do love those new roval one piece bar that comes on the full built s-works SL8..i love the promotions of the SL8.ill have to test ride it to see if its worth upgrading..the great thing is that i can just buy the SL8 frame and swap over my components..
No doubt, the Roval bar looks REALLY good. Have you seen the photo of the Crux with the one-piece bar? Looks so mean.
How are you comparing the handling between two bikes with the same geometry? While I’m sure stiffness in the various axes has a minor effect on handling, this is going to change more significantly with even the most minor of position changes.
Is the position identical on both?
Position should be the same. Same fitter sets up all of my bikes. 14,000+ miles on the SL7 and now 2,500+ on the SL8 and I can assure you that there are subtle differences.
Great video and really enjoy your thoughts on the 2. I really wonder how much of that front end improvement is due to the one piece bar/stem. Would you be able to elaborate/comment on this a bit? I have always found that the front end is more direct and stable the less spacer I run. Meaning the closer the stem is to the headset bearing. The SL7 is at a disadvantage here by design with the thick top cap.
Thank you! It's hard to say and realistically, I don't see myself putting the other bar/stem combo on to run a test. I do attribute a lot of the stiffness to the head tube and the front fork design. Are we certain that the new bar/stem combo is more stiff? I was recently talking with another brand about their one-piece cockpit and they said it's actually not as stiff as the two-piece setup.
@@outdoorbros_ Thanks for the response. I actually just tested an SL8 Pro vs the S-Works myself. Maybe stiff is the wrong choice of word here but the SW does feel more direct and connected in the front than the Pro imho. Same 35mm stack of spacer. I can't really isolate if that's part of the frame or the cockpit. Hence would like some 2nd opinion.
I have a Aethos 2021 and i gone change for a SL8 specially for the cockpit and for the tires i prefer the GP5000 😊

First I wanted to change frame for a SL8, but a finally decided to upgrade my SL7 with Roval Rapide cockpit and a Darimo seatpost. I can recommand this upgrades if you prefer the look of your SL7 🤩👍
handling, how do these compare to the SL6? I love the handling of my SL6. I've had an scott foil RC 30 (2023)for about 6 months, and it just doesn't handle like my tarmac SL6. If the SL7 & 8 handle as well as the SL6 did, then I know what I need to do.
As someone who just purchased a sl7 S-works frame for a significant discount I feel like the changes to me were minimal and 50% of the watts came from the handlebar. I'm a larger rider at 225lbs I found the rear of the sl8 to be flimsy looking and couldn't get past it. Im glad you gave your unbiased opinion and would love to hear the long term review. I will say you said that the rear ended bounces more on the sl8 is that because the rear is stiffer or softer?
I think the rear end has more movement because of the stiffness- it's not what I expected.

Sl7 was combination of venge in the front and tarmac on the back. With sl8 its venge in the front and aethos on the back. So sl8 has nothing left from tarmac heritage 😢
How do you like the Enve 2.3 & 4.5 as a combo? I’m considering this exact same setup myself, but I’m curious if I should just get 3.4s and save the money on the 2nd wheel set. Thoughts?
3.4's are probably the sweet spot, but I haven't ridden them. I will say that I really enjoy 2.3's and the 4.5's. The 2.3's spin up so quickly and descend incredibly well.
I was really close to buying a SL8 Pro, but I came across a SL7 Speed of Light 12r bike with PCW wheels for about the price of a SL8 Expert and just couldn't justify the extra cost once you factor in sales tax.
The green SL8 Pro is really sharp in person, but I hated seeing the bars turn and that speed sniffer really sticking out.
I’m sticking with the SL7, been riding it for 2 years now. Thinking of buying a new frame, new force group set and having a new race day bike, then the old becomes a dedicated trainer bike/great backup. Hope to see you at Lotoja! My start time is 6:22, what’s yours?

when comparing two bikes with the exact same frame geometry, how does one determine that one handles better than the other?

Chose the SL8 Pro in pine green, had it rebuilt to Sram force 2023. Chose it in the end for the selling value for when i might sell it as you said. Personally wouldnt notice the difference.

I think we’re at the level of diminishing returns here. At this level the consumer should buy what they want based on emotion, appearance and feel as these data points released by specialized from a lab are not going to be experienced in the real world from weekend warrior riders. I also wonder if the additional reported aero gains from the new one-piece Roval bar is decreased significantly once any bike computer and/or headlight is mounted on which is how most of us ride. As for me, I built up my dream 2019 S-Works Venge to the 9’s and sticking with it.
I wish I still had my 2019 Venge! Such an excellent bike.

both great bikes, I'd take the SL8 if I were paying retail even though I admit I don't love the aesthetics; the release of the Soudal Quick-Step colors would help move my preference to the SL8. I am still considering a used SL7 as a way to save $1K's off a new bike for a bike that is still better than many 2024 bikes from other brands. What's a bit of a surprise is how Specialized can offer such industry leading specs on their frames while simultaneously offering somewhat average/mediocre wheel specs. I think I'd rather run the 2024 Black Inc or Zipp NSW wheels on either of the Tarmacs.
Good points. The price difference between the 7 and 8 seems to be a deciding factor for most buyers. Performance is very similar, but one will have a lower upfront cost and lower resale. Tough call.
Regarding the tyre choice: Why not run the GP5000 TT TR? I've had great experiences with them as well as last years tdf edition, especially over longer distances, and have been riding them for quite some time now on my regular roadbike. Never had any problems with the puncture protection either and their ride feel is phenomenal.
That would be the ultimate, "Tadej Special" (I think that's what he used for the bulk of the Tour). I don't have any experience with those tires, so I'm hesitant to try them outside of a training ride. Do you ride them in 25 or 28?
@@outdoorbros_ I Ride them in 25mm, with my riding weight hovering at about 59kg +/- 1kg, i can only recommend trying them out, of course during training first if possible. I've hat one puncture riding the tdf edition, but with it being only a small thorn and riding tubeless the sealent worked great, i didn't loose too much pressure. Same as every Conti TR tyre though, they can be quite hard to get on and off the rim at times.
I’ve gotten more flats with them than the standard Grand Prix
Love the Conti TT tires, they feel very responsive and ( knock on wood) have had excellent luck with them sealing with Silca's Ultimate sealant. My go to tires for now.
Considering an SL8 upgrade after recently crashing and writing off my sworks aethos. Or should I just get another aethos??!

I am not sure why are you not a Specialized ambassador! It makes no sense. I get you feature other bikes but that would be even better benefit for them since you clearly like specialized better. If I may suggest something…. I highly recommend you get your hands on a dogma f to test ride it, it might give you even better understanding of your sl8. I owned it recently for few months, there isn’t a better bike to ride feeling wise than dogma f . It’s just molds to your body. Its not that impressive in low speeds but somehow when it gets up to speed it’s marvelous ride. I got back to sl7 and now sl8 and even though I still miss riding dogma I never feel like I want to switch back. But what I learn from dogma helped me understand my sl8 better. Very hard to explain until you try them. Cheers
Thanks! I wouldn't say I particularly like Specialized better, it's just what a lot of us ride around here. I could easily make the case to swap the the Crux for the Allied Echo- that's probably my favorite do-it-all bike for my riding style.
I hear that a lot about the Dogma F- I'll keep trying to track one down for a comparison.
Love my SL7. I don't see much advantage in going to SL8 unless you are going to be doing serious racing.
I will go for the 10r SL8 with the new Roval Rapide Cockpit. It's lighter than then SL7 and has the identical tube shape and geometry to the S-Works SL8 so they should have the same aerodynamic performance. More importantly it's even cheaper than the S-Works SL7. The only downside is that the 10r SL8 doesn't have the "S-Works" logo on it.

Maybe a stupid question, but how does a road bike have understeer? To have understeer the front end literally needs to be sliding out under you, which will result in you being on the floor.
Maybe under and oversteer isn’t the right term, but I mean how sensitive the steering is.
So when it comes to the Tarmac SL8 where do you think SL8 lacks? Not really compared to the SL7, but just in general.
Only lacks aesthetically, in my opinion. 4,700+ miles so far and it’s been flawless.
The SL7 is an exceptional bike…exceptional.

Sl8. Sl7s are not discounted enough to make up for the loss on the selling end in a few years. Also, I want the matte. There is an Sl7 in carbon satin but I’d like to try the new force. I sold my previous bike so the upgrade won’t hurt as much lol. All in all I want the latest because I’ll keep for a generation or two.

6'0, 28mm and 30mm tires, 4.5's, 2.3's and 40/44's. My fitter would have the rest of the info.

SL7. Because I just replaced my Sworks SL5 with a Sworks SL7 and I love it. Also just like for cars, I'd rather buy the last year of a proven, reliable and well optimized design, rather than take the risk of buying a 1st year design. If you've worked in manufacturing you know what I mean. 😅
This is my struggle! I do think the sl8 needs a year before I go for it. Right now I’m looking at a rival sl7 for a smoking deal.
Totally get it. Part of the fun of this channel is buying and testing the latest gear. If I didn’t have the channel, my thought process might be different.
I worry about the weight, or lack of, with the SL8. Normal guy keeping his bike in the garage, say it gets knocked over and hits the lawnmower. Is it going to crack? That top tube is THIN, and yeah sorry, the situation of the lawnmower happens. Also, there's been a lot of behind the scenes shots of pros holding snapped frames after crashes. They get a new one from the team car, we sit and whimper. Not hating, just worried about the actual real world factors and these race machines. And run the GP5k, you can't feel the difference in alleged speed, but you can with the punctures.....
… but the Corsa Pros are more puncture resistant, at least according to the bicycle rolling resistance.

With the ‘white paper’ on the aero benefits of the one piece cockpit verses the previous two piece SL7 cockpit I wonder if they tested it in real world conditions with both set ups running an out front head unit? My question is based on a hunch that the head unit negates any meaningful difference in aero performance of the one pice set up.

I bought a Tarmac SL7 in a sale and I think that was its worth not the original price. I didn’t like the Roval C38 running dura ace C36 tubeless 25c. I’ll wait to the SL8 goes on sale in a few years

How do you compare the SL8 to the Enve Melee? Does the Melee feel as fast as the new SL8?
The stiffness of the Melee feels a lot like the SL8. I need to jump back onto a Melee to compare the speed of both.

I prefer the sport++ feeling of the SL7 and SL8, so I’d score it higher. Ride quality of the Aethos is hard to beat.
Thanks for an incredibly helpful comparison of the SL7 vs 8! I own a S-Works Aethos custom build with a Roval Alpinist cockpit and ENVE 4.5ARs. Absent trying the Tarmac, I love the Aethos and its ride quality. Most of my riding is in the mountains in the summer (mostly solo riding) and the flats (on marginal roads in a group rides) during the balance of the year. Performance-wise, I’m a reasonably speedy 50ish masters cyclist @~4w/kg. Do you think I’d gain much more performance on the flats with an SL8, or for your money, would you just own one or the other (Aethos or SL8 but not both)? Thanks!
SL7 for me. A friend has the SL8 and I just can’t get around that headtube speedsniffer nose extension they’ve done. Looks totally out of proportion unless the stem is completely slammed and even then it still looks stupid.
Doesn’t bother me much any longer.

Curious about your thoughts on durianrider and modern-era bikes vs bikes from the 90’s to 2010’s. It’s kind of hard to reconcile both of your perspectives on the SL8, given that you’re both serious cyclists, yet are diametrically opposed in your viewpoints. It seems like there is little to no conclusive evidence that modern bikes perform better than previous generation bikes, which is a point in durianrider’s favor. I also agree with him on the point that the trend is moving towards making bikes more comfortable. It seems to me like durianrider is something of a purist - he is very focused on performance and doesn’t care for things that don’t improve it. Having owned a 2010’s era bike (Cannondale CAAD9), I at times have similar feelings as durianrider when I compare it to the CAAD13 - the modern CAAD is bigger, less stiff, slower handling, and more comfortable, but it’d be hard to say objectively which bike is faster. While I appreciate the increased comfort of the modern bike, at times I miss the “raw” feeling of the old bike. This nostalgia is the reason I got my Aethos, which, to me, feels like a CAAD9 on steroids. But what seems to be at the heart of the matter when it comes to bikes and what we prefer, isn’t objective performance, but rather, subjective feeling. It’s the same thing with cars (but with cars, there is much more objective data in terms of performance).
Gosh, I’m probably not the right person to offer an opinion here. First, I’ve never watch a Durianrider video- I only recently heard about him with the SL8 release. I’m sure he has some great videos, the algorithm just hasn’t planted them in my feed yet. Second, the oldest bike I’ve ridden was a 2006 Roubaix and that was 10+ years ago, when I wasn’t paying much attention to feel and handling. In other words, I don’t have the history with bikes dating back as far as you’re mentioning.
I understand the comparison to cars and you might be on to something there… but I will say that we might have reached a performance plateau a few years ago and we’ve only made marginal gains since, at least in terms of the bike.

@@outdoorbros_ I don’t have the history either, the 2010 CAAD is the oldest road bike I’ve ridden. But it’s recent experience, and this is why I can make judgements on the old bike vs. new. I actually disagree a fair amount with durianrider’s views, especially on diet, but he’s quite knowledgeable and experienced with bikes, and his criticisms of the bike industry are in large part valid. I think it’s kind of interesting how the changes in the bike industry track pretty closely with cars - the trend is towards bigger, more comfortable, less rough edges. The modern car/bike may be objectively faster, but older generation cars/bikes have a handling feel that can’t be matched, due largely to their lower weight and smaller geometry. It’s why so many people prefer the older generation M3, WRX STI/EVO, etc. to the modern versions.
I don't know what to attribute to your experience of the handling, unless your SL8 frame is a different size compared to your SL7 frame. The SL7 and SL8 have identical geometries, which should basically equate to identical handling, all else being equal. The only difference between them is that, when it comes to stack and reach, the SL8 is actually more upright and very slightly shorter. From a pure geometry perspective, comparing size for size, this means the SL8 is slightly less aggressive and less race oriented than the SL7 is.
Same size frames. Not sure either, but the feel is different.

Surely enough a famous australian cyclist and youtuber already craked his Tarmac SL8 (handlebars probably twisted and hit the frame) but do you feel like the SL8 is outrageously fragile or brittle? Although I'm aware that these bikes are very fragile, my Venge 2019 in Carbon 11r already feels brittle and soft and I don't want to be even more stressed with this 12r SL8. What are your thoughts!
It doesn't "feel" brittle, but the seat stays are VERY thin. I'm not anxious to fly with it, if that's any indication of how I feel.
since the sl8 has the wider 42cm versus the sl7 with 40cm do you notice the difference in comfort/speed. thanks
I might have misspoke in the video, both are 40cm bars. I do think that there's a noticeable difference between 42cm and 40cm.
Porsche track model analogies usually work for these, although if the 8 is that much stiffer (for only 8W gain on a smooth track!) it would be a horrendous ridE on real world crappy roads. Ultimately, these are like iPhones. You can upgrade each time to the shiny new one (guilty in years past), but you really notice the difference more enjoyably when you skip a couple of generations. I like the 8, but I love my SL7 and, not least because it looks better, and I won’t be any faster or comfortable on the 8.
I think - and I mean this as a compliment - that your videos are the ultimate mansplaining. “Why did I drop 5k on a new frame? Let me explain in a beautifully edited video…”. PS we all need a shiny a new toy sometimes, so I might do the bars upgrade as that appears to be the majority of the performance upgrade?
Last thing, I settled on ENVE 3.4s as my all-rounder; how would you rate the enjoyment from having the the sides either side as your main rims?

For the $, I’m happy to skip a generation. If the looks were the equivalent of the Aston V8 Vantage versus the previous model in the early 2000s, or a 911 versus a Boxster, then I’d be tempted on looks alone, all else being equal. But sadly not. Like the horrendous new BMW grill, will it grow on me, or is it the equivalent of the Chris Bangle era Beemers that arguably didn’t really catch on….
I've had several Tarmacs over the years, including an S-Works SL6 and my SL8 Pro is the best bike I've ever owned. Absolutely incredible bike that makes you want to push harder and ride every damn day.

Whoops...I commented before the end of the video. To answer your question, the tire which avoids punctures the best. For me that is the Conti. I'm actually riding the ENVE tire now (29MM) and I like it a lot. It's holding well.
All good! Definitely SL8. I love the GP5000 TL's, but the S TR's have been hit or miss for me. Corsa Pros might be the ticket.

The car analogy is surely the wrong way round. The SL8 is more compliant than the SL7 - that was one of the issues people,had with it

@@outdoorbros_ I like that they went away from the isospeed design, I had it on the SLR and I didn't feel like it did anything for my riding, I'm also a fan of the T47 BB.
But I think the main thing the Madone has going for it, is that it's a pure aero race bike & I live in and land of flat roads, so it'll suit my riding I do most of the time. But it also looks so dang good!!! :)

Not necessarily. I mention ride quality in that the rear end bounces around a bit- not necessarily less comfortable, just more movement.

The comparison between 911 Turbo S and GT3 RS (don't remember exact GT model you mentioned) but the GT models are vastly different to the regular 911. One aimed for primarily use on the road and one for the track. A better comparison would be 911 Turbo vs the Turbo S. Marginal but not another league.
I had used the Turbo S to describe the SL7 in a previous video, so it’s building on that reference.
